Ange's stubbornness is something else. Brighton could easily be up by double figures considering how easy it's been for them to bypass Spurs' defence.
-
He's almost 28 and has never played European football. Form is temporary. Osimhen would join us in a heartbeat. The issue is getting a deal done, which will probably be even harder considering his recent extension. We are literally stockpiling talent at this point. Money going down the drain for fun.
-
I totally forgot we have Fofana too. These signings need to stop.
-
There's more about him not being up to scratch in the match thread. Funny for a player who's hardly been given a look in. We an live in hope Osimhen will be that player come next season.
-
Do we really need another stop-gap? Muriel was almost the perfect signing for us a few windows ago to fill that void. The club thought it was smart to spend a hefty fee on Jackson, who looks like someone with potential who won't meet the grade here. We're at a point where we need top-level players to help with the inconsistency within our youthful squad.
-
I stated first two for a reason. One has been forgotten, and the other has been a running joke for his club despite his price tag. Madueke wasn't part of the quote, so.... Just look at my post a page or two back to see where I believe our exceptions are compared to a side that were CWC holders - Are we a PL winner or, arguably, a CL-calibre side, probably not. However, we are far from the midtable fodder that Poch is slowly turning us into. If you believe we're tenth place or below standard, fair enough.
-
How does that have any relevance? Average players (in the case of the first two) didn't become world beaters because they won a CL medal. What are both up to now? I'm honestly starting to wonder if people know where most of our players have come from. These aren't players who been promoted from the second tier or such. Nothing more than a cop out excuses to mask over Poch's consistent selection mistakes.
-
How many players have we bought since within the past 12 months? There's been drastic changes within that time.
-
It only works if the person being asked to do the job is up to the task. If you think Colwill is doing an adequate job, this convo should end immediately. I've not once said I have an issue with CB's or FB's playing in different positions; my complaint is the personal choices. A brief look up at the positions Maatsen has played: Ian Maatsen - Player profile 23/24 | Transfermarkt . Your support for Poch is admirable, despite him making the same mistakes week in, week out. Are we a PL winner or, arguably, a CL-calibre side, probably not. However, we are far from the midtable fodder that Poch is slowly turning us into. We bought Nkunku and are heavily linked with Osimhen. I wouldn't say they're gone, just not a regular.
-
Or our manager is crap. He doesn't know what he's doing, and that's clear for all to see with his insistence on playing Colwill out of position. Our match winner probably wouldn't have even been on the bench were it not for the suspensions.
-
You realise there's a quote feature, btw? We might have looked better with an extra defender, however, we shouldn't be lining up defensively against Palace, full stop.
-
Injured, disciplinary issues, and Poch isn't a big fan either. He certainly deserves a start against Luton.
-
Madueke has changed the game! Maatsen was favoured ahead of him!?
-
Who takes it? Jackson?
-
Looked like a stonewall PK. Nothing given, tho.
-
He's a liability defensively. However, he is also the best ball playing CB we have by some distance. Two cracking passes that should have been tucked away.
-
Guess not. I'm still loss for words about his miss.
-
Jackson is a lucky guy.
-
100% on Poch. Keeps making the same mistakes expecting different results. That's clear as day. Poch is actually making him an issue at this point.
-
He was going to score all day. My issue is Colwill being in no man's land again. I've lost count of how many times Colwill has been caught out playing at LB. Move him centrally or drop him.
-
Nice to have a FB attack. Nice finish from Mudryk.
-
We have a RWF on the bench. How about playing people in their preferred position for a change?
-
There's a host of examples of him making the wrong decision in favour of himself, not just the most recent one that lost us a point at the very least. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he try to take the ball from Palmer for a PK (which might have been against City). If you have the "balls" to take a shot on, you better score or be prepared for the backlash. He's our highest-paid player by some distance, which is farcical in itself. I have even touched upon his diving antics, which make me dislike him even more. People jump on Sterling's back because he should know better at 29 compared to Mudryk. I'd get shot of him in a heartbeat were the Saudi teams to put in an offer for him.
-
This is why Poch needs to go. Playing a LB at RIGHT WING.
-
We can't afford to have anyone at this club who thinks they're above the rest. He's far from an elite attacker.
