I believe Palmer is the best option for leading a three-man midfield, as he's the only one who has the ability to make that crucial pass, which the other three lack. It's hard to watch Enzo in that position at times. I'm of the same mindset. I have been challenged a few times about my stance, but I still believe he has the key abilities that are almost essential in football nowadays. If we were talking about the 70-80's, I'd have a completely different mindset.

Hugh save! Could turn out to be a big result.
-
Their "set piece" specialist...
-
Imagine if Disasi was still on the pitch. I'm done with these makeshift options when ACTUAL FB's are fit. No idea what to expect from this bunch in a shootout.

If you're actually watching the game, you wouldn't be replying. We're losing thanks to gifting them a goal, end of.
-
That seems to be the case where our scouts are concerned. If they don't play for Brighton, they aren't on our radar.

CHE 0-1 NEW | Chelsea - Newcastle | Stats (flashscore.co.uk) It's quite clear
-
It feels like we're Santa all year round. If you can't score, that singular mistake will be the decider. How long have we been without a regular goal scorer at this point? Ha ha. You're probably giving them 10 minutes too long, tbh.
-
It feels like this XI can't do anything right. Gifted Newcastle a goal, and we're doing our best to fluff any chances that come our way. We can all how this is going to end up if things aren't changed at HT.
-
Santos might get a chance of some game time (if we aren't planning on pulling the plug).
-
It's a mixture of them breaking every rule under the sun to get a leg up over the competition and other sides choking when it really matters. The sooner teams actually get punished for the corruption going around (even if that includes us, unfortunately), the better.
-
They're seemingly the lesser evil. I'd rather they not make history with all the dodginess surrounding them.
-
I was just about to post this myself. It gave me those Drogba vibes.
-
City did want Cucu after all, so give him to them for a cut price.
-
I thought that was the case, tbh. We aren't exactly gifted with good options at LB, so him returning wouldn't be the worst thing. However, it would mean our need to sell players would be even greater than it already is.
-
I believe there's more risk of something happening midweek when he's (surely) thrown into a highly contested fixture.
-
Some breathing space now. VAR trying it's hardest to find a way. A third before a brief cameo from Nkunku would be ideal. I'm of the mindset that if someone hasn't been out for months and is on the bench, they're ready to start.
-
People have the audacity to say, "It's not Poch's fault" when he makes such choices, which cost us points. I hope I'm being pedantic and we win with ease.
-
Colwill and DIsasi as FB's. Why?
-
I have a worrying feeling that we'll actually need him today, which really shouldn't be the case at all. The last thing we want is for him to be pushed too much, resulting in another extended layoff.
-
The fact that Nkunku could make his competitive debut gives me some reason to be excited about Sunday's fixture. We're in dire need of someone to ignite our season.
-
Enzo and Caicedo are "projects"? I'm led to believe that Poch had a say in transfers, so if so, he's just as much to blame as those upstairs. Also, our last two performances were dire, but most players retained their places. As I alluded to above, he has the power to make personal changes rather than come out with embarrassing comments after such performances.
-
Or, Poch could possibly do his job by finding a solution. It's a farfetched idea, I know.
-
I'm talking about selection choices. He can make Jackson run a billion laps, but until today, he has constantly starting despite a string of subpar performances. There are a number of players who should be spending time on the bench.
-
This squad wouldn't be able to cope with that sort of discipline. The real issue with Poch is that players can seemingly put in 2/10 performances without any repercussions.
