  1. Him and Eze are having a field day. It seems like such an odd decision by Klopp to start Phillips ahead of Gomez.
  2. COVID hit them hard & their poor form last season added to that. The days of making notable losses each window are behind them. I'm in total agreement; the idea of going for young talent is one I'm a fan of, but not overspending on average talent (£40m is far too much as it is).
  3. They have had financial issues for a number of seasons, so to say they don't need the money couldn't be further from the truth. A sizeable fee would probably reluctantly force their hand. I just hope it isn't us that are stupid enough to do it.
  4. That's the issue, though. If that isn't deemed violent conduct, we might as well wrap things up.
  5. That's incorrect - Video Assistant Referees Red Card Decisions Explained | VAR | Premier League
  6. Aren't straight red offences under the same bracket? I'm sure there has to have been a decision where the ref saw nothing which resulted in a straight red. Either that or the EPL has changed up the ruleset even more.
  7. I thought it was the total opposite. Doesn't VAR get involved and informs the ref of something he ought to look at (reason the ref waited before the second corner was taken and was clearly having a conversation with VAR)? I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
  8. No one is excusing Jorgi, but I don't understand this train of thought in the slightest. VAR gave a no call on Cucu being dragged to the floor. Two or five hundred wrongs don't make a right. To sum it up, Tottenham earned a point due to refereeing decisions.
  9. Just look at @Vesper post - Richarlison was offside & obstructing Mendy's view. Jorgi's mistake shouldn't have even mattered when all was said & done. Rules are supposedly in place to be followed all the time.
  10. VAR isn't the same everywhere, as the final call comes down to interpretation. Also, I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find information that states the way VAR is used is exactly the same across the continent. You might have a point, but what's the reason behind both of Spurs' goals? Did we give them two goals?
  11. You're talking about VAR in another country. EPL has had it for years, and those who use it still struggle to do so effectively or at all at times.
  12. There are no consequences for refs having horrendous afternoons unless they've been newly promoted, so this sort of thing will continue to happen. I hate it as much as you, but nothing is going to change in the immediate future. A total clearout should have been done years ago. It was supposedly "a different phase of play," so too far gone to review. There's literally no point in technology when those behind it are clueless.
  13. One less body to deal with makes a difference
  14. It's getting tiresome that such calls are what we're complaining about instead of what you mentioned. No decent attacker should ever miss chances like Havertz did.
  15. Do away with VAR. It's useless in this country
  16. Just when Kante was building some momentum. His age is really catching up with him.
  17. Look what happens when you move James back into his main position.
  18. Get Broja on, so we can finish the game with an actual vocal point.
  19. Tuchel makes the change ONCE we've conceded. Will this ever stop?
  20. The officiating is something else in this country, but I'm livid with Jorgi. Clear it!!!
  21. James at RCB & RLC ahead of him is such a waste. Get Maehle in ASAP.
  22. I'm not interested in listening to countless rumours about the ins and outs. If we did end up signing Auba, that would be case closed on the matter.
  23. We're talking about the French league, so don't go overboard. Let's see what happens when the CL rolls around.
