I really hope this is a clean slate for everyone & we see a few "new" faces starting tonight.

I'd be all over Barella as his replacement. I've been a fan for quite a few years; he has a bit of everything and has that bite, which a lot of top players lack nowadays. You'd like to think Lukaku being at Inter would help us as a bargaining tool of sorts, but his loan so far hasn't been good at all. Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised if we went for the former for obvious reasons & potentially a few other Brighton players (Mac Allister is someone that could be a good fit down the road).

I'm with you 100%. The idea of signing him for a stupid amount so he can "return home" is something I'm not keen on, but everything seems to be pointing in that direction, and even more so now, with United no longer in that particular race having signed Casemiro.

It seems the most likely outcome. All things considered, parting ways would be the best decision & we sign a long-term replacement (Rice 😐).

It makes no sense to offer Kante a four-year contract due to his age clearly catching up with him. We're supposedly already offering him a longer contract than I'd suggested.

I wanted him to manage the side were Tuchel to leave, so I'm pleased it's come to fruition. This is someone Boehly wanted personally, so I hope he's given ample time to build a side for the long haul.

The ownership/team are stuck with players that Tuchel seemingly chose, so it didn't exactly do them favours either. With regards to the last bit, how many youngsters did we sign during the window? That in itself should tell you that Boehly has the long game in mind rather than just wanting instant success.

I'm actually shocked they've sacked him. We just signed Auba who was certainly a signing Tuchel was asking for & he's gone less than a week later. I hope the next appointment is one that's carefully considered.

Did you miss our failed pursuit for Haaland last season, or were you oblivious to it? As people have mentioned in the past, there is a calibre of player that won't join us, and it's been that way for some time.

Who were these "top targets"? KK was bought on the back of Boehly's knowledge of his time in Naples... There's a reason he hasn't coached one of the top sides.

Celtic have been all over Real Madrid & ought to be ahead. Benzema has gone off injured, so they won't get a better chance. On a side note, it's still baffling that RM haven't bought a CF to back up Benzema (after Jovic flop).

A manager has finally been backed & we're going to excuse him? I've been on that side before, but Tuchel has no defence this time around. Most of our signings were ones he wanted, with Raphinha being the one he might have also wanted who got away (Kounde was Marina's obsession).

We've spent most of it on defensive-minded players. That's the main difference.

There's no creativity at all. Bring Ziyech on, as he's the only one that can play a ball.

A lack of leadership or character. This is something we have to address going forward, as just buying youngsters won't work.

Koulibaly's rashness is starting to become a serious issue. He should know far better. We shouldn't be playing such a high line with our lack of pace defensively either.
