That might be the case, but we have supposedly had a deal in place for a number of days, only for us to "stall", allowing Barcelona to sell another percentage of their training ground or car park to finance a move.
-
The manner in which we're seemingly losing players is the issue. However, the man doing all of the legwork is someone who knows nothing or very little about football. Once this window shuts, someone qualified and with a respectable past needs to be appointed.

Were the rumours about us not being willing to give the go-ahead until he had a medical true?
-
Danjuma is the only interesting option left this summer that ticks a number of boxes. If Milan were willing to part with him for a reasonable fee, Leao would be in that bracket. Talk of Neymar/Ronaldo had better not reappear in the next few weeks either. The one wildcard is Saint-Maximin; he offers something we don't have with his unpredictability, but do we really need another player with little end product, or could he magically come good in that depart?

That's good news for us. If we aren't signing a WC CF, give Broja a proper chance.
-
I think he's anything but "weak-minded." The guy was on a massive stretch without a goal, yet he still didn't shy away and put himself in positions on the field to help the team. His inconsistency, which was for all to see at RB Leipzig, is the reason people shouldn't be worried if he moves on. It's never a smart idea to go after someone that has only had one semi-decent season under their belt. He gives off these Belotti vibes, for better or worse.

So far, have we been seriously linked with a midfielder (FDJ rumours aside)?
-
I'll be shocked if we don't make another attacking signing of note before the windows close.
-
If Kounde does end up at Barcelona (not much of a loss IMO), it will be down to us. We've blown hot & cold for the last three windows, so blame should be pointed in the right direction. The only similarity to the Raphinha saga is Barcelona being involved.
-
We have effectively the same attackers. What else do you expect?
-
Can't even say he attempted a panenka. Horrendous!
-
I hope we see something close to our strongest squad against Arsenal.
-
I feel like they would entertain an offer of around 70m~ with addons. Whether that's deemed as value is another story.
-
Gvardiol, going by reports.
-
So would @Tomo I'd personally prefer Cornet, if given the choice.

We are currently World Champions and won the CL, just over 12 months ago. It's a weird time when such titles aren't enough to entice the best players. I guess this summer is an odd one for us, all things considered, and might put some off. We have to hope we're successful on the pitch over the next 12 months and at least are able to put our hat in the ring, so to speak, for elite talent rather than a repeat of this year's window.

I think it's another case of this now or never. It hinges on the Kounde deal, but it's hard to actually keep track of what is factual on Twitter.

I've heard rumours that Bayern are interested in Osimhen. If they manage to sign him.... For all the hate thrown on Bayern for their "poaching" tactics & such, they seem to always reinforce properly, which I'm certainly envious of in comparison to how we have done business for many years.
-
The harsh reality, unfortunately. The same could probably be said about Gvardiol too, unless we manage to get some agreement in place.
-
We could certainly do far worse than spending as little as that on a proven goalscorer and possibly send Michy the other way too.
-
I think we missed the chance for Osimhen last summer. The chances of Napoli losing their three best players in the same window are extremely unlikely as well. Are you not so keen on your fellow countryman, Isak? It seemed like his stock dropped quite a bit last season. On a side note, I mentioned Muriel a few pages back as being an outside option that could be viable until someone of note becomes available/go for Nkunku as a false nine next summer should he repeat last season's heroics.
-
I've been one of the few people willing for him to be given a chance, but even I know that ship has sailed & Tuchel ought to think the same.
-
Another player who doesn't want to fight for their place. If Broja does end up leaving, we need another CF lined up.
-
I'm not sure how long this has been public knowledge, but it's interesting to know she did actually have much more power than many around here thought, despite having little to no knowledge of the game prior to taking up her role at the club.
-
Players don't want to fight for their places/want the easy route and clearly don't have that strong of a connection to the club. Mount might get hate at times for his subpar performances, but his love for this club is probably second to none & it's been evident for many years (comments his father made whilst he was still a youngster). Barkley had moments, but his attitude off the field is the main reason behind his downfall.
