  1. I said sat next to, where did I say talk to? I hardly said a word to him.
  2. At the Emirates Cup last year, I'm fairly sure the picture is in the mugshots thread.
  3. Aha trust me. I sat next to Jorge for 2 hours once, heard him talking to his scouting team and had a picture with him. Trust me, he's crazy and said some pretty colourful shit.
  4. I know, he's making a joke about the fact that I have faith in the team. I was just confirming that I am still positive, just know that we need some more signings to freshen up the squad.
  5. Good manager but completely mental. Really crazy guy that would get in more trouble than Mourinho does due to opening his mouth at the wrong times and not really having a filter (personally I kinda like that but looking at the stick Mourinho is getting on here probably not what we'd need).
  6. From the Everton forums (I know there's some stupid posts on here sometimes but holy shit read this): The board will benefit massively by keeping Stones - his value will only go one way unless he has a massive drop in form or a catastrophic injury. This time next season the likes of Real and Barca or Bayern could well be knocking, and if PSG and City show an interest too then it's not inconceivable that the value we currently place on him could double. The really minted clubs don't mind gambling huge sums on talent...look at the money Di Maria attracted over two quick sales, and Bale and bang-average players like Sterling and Luiz. Everyone who's anyone can see Stones is going to be a top class centre back for years to come. In a strange way this Stones saga could really work in Evertons favour.....it puts us firmly in the World football spotlight, and if we continue to resist Chelsea's billions it will show us in a brilliant light. At the same time it surely must make the odd billionaire or consortium takea second glance at 'Everton'.
  7. Tbh this is all probably due to the fact that we sold them a bang average player for an extortionate fee xD. The Lukaku deal is still in my top 3 Chelsea sales along with Torres and Luiz.
  8. 100% correct. Think the only way this will happen now is for Stones himself to put in a transfer request and then we put in a £32-35M bid after he has. Sounds underhanded but every club in the world does it. I know we got stung before with the whole Cole saga but we really should have someone talking to Stones (or at least his agent) and gauging what he'd be willing to do to force him move here.
  9. Whether or not we sign him I hope the board puts up a little note for everyone at the club - "In future if Everton want one of our players, immediately double the price we want for said player and still make them wait before accepting.".
  10. Aha not negative just know that we need signings (always said that btw). I think we'll be ok without Pedro but I quite enjoyed Chelsea winning the league last season so ok isn't quite good enough . Would very much like us to do it again!!!
  11. All replacements for outgoing players (and by god did we drag our feet with Baba). I'm talking about actually adding on our squad from last year because currently we have had: Drogba-->Falcao (upgrade) Cech-->Begovic (downgrade, even though Begovic is brilliant, Cech for me is still top 3/4 GK in the World) Luis-->Baba (big downgrade, even though I rate Baba and think he has great potential Luis was fantastic) So overall our squad has got weaker than last season. Pedro would right that wrong.
  12. Tbh hadn't considered it much before but William Carvalho would be a huge upgrade over Mikel and Ramires. Especially if Mikel is off (please god). Witsel would obviously be the much preferred option but he'd be a great CM signing nonetheless.
  13. RIP Kovacic's promising career. Going the same way as Illarramendi (the Scott Sinclair route). The only chance he has of playing time is if Isco and/or one of the first teamers leave. And if this is because Isco is leaving then someone drive him to the goddamn Bridge!!!
  14. At the start of the window I would have been pretty disappointed if you told me that the only AM we'd sign this transfer window was Pedro. Now however, I am getting heart palpitations with excitement t the prospect of ACTUALLY SIGNING A PLAYER. Not only that but he's an absolute bargain for £22M. Better than all our AMs except Hazard and maybe Willian (considering his recent form i'd probably say Willian, just). Please make it happen. The bookies are very rarely wrong (not never, rarely).
  15. West Brom has been a bogey team for us over the years. For me our 7 hardest games are away against City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Spurs, Stoke and West Brom.
  16. If we win this at least we'll have got 2 of our ~7 hardest games for the season out of the way and have a win on the board. Silver linings and all that.
  17. Why so many posts and people viewing this thread? Please stop getting my hopes up.... If we signed Isco I would be so so happy!!
  18. If I see Ivanovic in that starting line up:
  19. Please god no more. I can't take much more of seeing him play at RB.... Watching him play lately reminds me of when I was watching Kalou, Mikel and Ferreira at their worst; just got 0 trust in him and if Jose doesn't drop him for next week now we've got Baba i'll be lost for words.
  20. A bit off topic but Tuchel is showing Klopp up a bit here, revitilising Miki and Reus by shifting their positions and Miki looks like the LW role was made for him. Klopp may have got a bit lazy in his last season which has tainted his reputation somewhat. Still a World Class manager though and whichever team picks him up will have got a great player and a great character (hopefully not Liverpool or Arsenal).
  21. Hmm. I still think he's one of our best players in big games though. Last season he scored against Liverpool in the semi final of the COC, scored against Spurs home and away, scored against MU at home, Soton away and Arsenal at home and got assists home and away against Man City. He also scored against PSG in the L16 second leg. That seems pretty good in the big games IMO. I agree regarding Reus though, he's a fantastic player and is probably just ahead of Aguero as my favourite non-Chelsea player. If only we could have as Curly said. Azpi RB, Reus RW, Willian CAM and Hazard LW. Would be just fantastic.
  22. Wrong thread mate; http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/20543-who-will-be-the-next-chelsea-manager-after-mourinho/
  23. I feel like this story needs to be elaborated on.
  24. Goals aren't everything mate. Hazard last season and to a lesser extent the one before it was fantastically consistent. Turned up in almost every game and played magnificently most of the season too. Didn't he make the most successful dribbles in Europe last year and was the most fouled player? You can overstate how important that is for a team. Also, regarding goals + assists per season: 2014/15: Reus 17, Hazard 32 2013/14: Reus 46, Hazard 27 2012/13: Reus 35, Hazard 37 2011/12: Reus 35, Hazard 47 2010/11: Reus 22, Hazard 27 2009/10: Reus 12, Hazard 24 Total Goals + Assists since 2009: Reus 167, Hazard 194 Games played in that time: Reus 241, Hazard 308 Goals + Assists per game in that time: Reus 0.69, Hazard 0.63 So while Reus is slightly more prolific it's hardly like Hazard is inconsistent as you're trying to suggest. IMO they're both world class and if we had both with Willian between them I would be so excited to have Reus on my back i'd even buy the ugly new home shirt with it on!!!
