Essien shooting a ball wearing the new away kit ------- What Benayoun would look like in the away kit Taken from my PES 2010 game Thoughts?

well, if that's the way forward for the club then I'm disappointed

I say Kaka because he didn't cut it at Real Madrid, and paying £56 million was a gamble.

John Terry's future in the England team is under severe threat, according to former Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro. Deposed skipper Terry incurred the wrath of manager Fabio Capello during England's dismal World Cup campaign when he suggested the players were ready to confront the Italian over his tactics and team selection. The Chelsea centre-back was forced to back down after Capello called his comments a "big mistake", but kept his place in the side before England were bundled out in the second round after a 4-1 humbling by Germany. Cannavaro, who won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 before suffering a humiliating group-stage exit in South Africa, knows Capello well after working under his compatriot at Real Madrid. And the experienced defender believes the strict disciplinarian will begin preparing for the 2012 European Championship by making sweeping changes to the Three Lions squad, with Terry the most at risk. "My thoughts are that John Terry won't be on the team sheet," Cannavaro told the Daily Star Sunday. "You don't cross Fabio and he won't want anybody disrupting his tournament again. "It was absolutely the correct decision for the English FA to keep Fabio on. He can make this England team his own now - and I would actually make them the favourites for Euro 2012. "When he joined Real Madrid he brought a lot of players in the first season like myself and Ruud van Nistelrooy and the result was instant success but internationally it takes time to build your own team. "I don't want to speak for Fabio but I'd be surprised if more than five of the players who started against Germany start the opening game of Euro 2012. "For me, the only two players that can be guaranteed to start in 2012 are Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney. "By then Fabio will have had enough time to build his own team and I think it will be unrecognisable compared to what it was at the World Cup. "Spain will be there but if Fabio gets rid of egos, I think England will see exactly why it was a good decision to keep him on." --------------------------------------------------------------- Source:- Sporting Life (and other sources) including "SkySports" --------------------------------------------------------------- What is it about Chelsea players that people just love to gloat about?? Is it because we're easy targets for the press?

Yeah I agree. At Least Aguero has said he wants to go to Chelsea, unlike Torres.

I really hope you're wrong! -
Why would Bastian demand a move to Real Madrid when he's wearing Lampard's England jersey?? It would make sense if Lampard played for Real, but obviously that's not the case, so your observation doesn't make much sense!

True fact, however, I do have one small arguement... It's either going to happen, or it isn't, how are we supposed to know that?? -
Right, this transfer saga now is as good as dead, let Hodgson have Torres... now FFS let's get a bid made for Aguero!!!

It appears that Chelsea are ready to up the ante in their pursuit of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Carlo Ancelotti is now in the process of drawing up a player plus swap deal for the Spanish international. The Stamford Bridge boss knows that the longer time that passes without agreeing a deal for the Anfield goal machine the less likely a deal will be struck and is therefore hoping that offering some of his Blues side as part of a exchange may encourage Roy Hodgson to consider a deal. The likes of Brazilian centre back Alex, Salomon Kalou and Yuri Zhirkov are apparently on offer if the Merseyside club decides to do business. Clearly a lot depends on whether the 26 year old pushes for a Liverpool exit that seems highly unlikely given the adulation he receives from the club’s loyal support. ----------------------------------------------------- Source:- Caught Offside ----------------------------------------------------- Does this football club ever learn!? Alex?? Seriously is this a joke?!

I really would not mind Ramires at Chelsea! He'd be a useful player because he can play anywhere in midfield... and he's a youngster!
-
ahhh Kostas you beat me to it! that is interesting! He wanted to try and emulate Lampard's style of play. There's no smoke without a fire I guess.

Chelsea believe they are well positioned to resist interest in Ashley Cole from Real Madrid, even if the England defender decides he wants a new challenge abroad. Cole's displeasure at the intense media focus on his private life in England has raised hopes in Madrid that a deal is possible this summer, with Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas saying he was "confident" that a deal could be done that would reunite the defender with former boss Jose Mourinho. Chelsea , though, have had no indication from Cole that he wants to leave, and manager Carlo Ancelotti still regards the England left-back as integral to his plans for next season. Cole signed a new four-year contract only last September, although the interest from Madrid could still be used to negotiate improved terms. ------------------------------------- Source:- The Daily Telegraph ------------------------------------- Are we supposed to be relieved by seeing this?

How the mighty have fallen!
-
Yeah exactly! That's why I'm beginning to show my support for Benayoun because, after all he does want to play for the club, and wants to give 110%, and I'm all for that. He might not be a first choice player for Ancelotti, but he certainly has the Premier League experience, and all of the above. I would much rather see that in a player, rather than someone who doesn't want to play for the club and wants to move elsewhere. At the end of the day, an attitude like that gets the best out of players because they want to perform well week-in week-out.

Plus fucking one!! Khalid Boulahrouz had number 9 when he was with us and he's a defender... did I give a fuck?? Hell No! Those who do give a fuck really need to stop exaggerating and start supporting our players a bit more! Like proper Chelsea fans! Honestly!

Sparse news about Aguero! anything remotely new?? or is Carlo too busy chatting up Kaka??? -
It's not as if he has much of a choice not to support him now that he'll be wearing Chelsea colours from now on. He still wants Kakuta to play a part this season, and I don't blame him to be honest.
-
No thankyou!! I'd rather see us promote Kakuta and draft in younger additions like Khedira and Aguero than sign a wage-heavy 28-year-old Kaka! And as for Ashley (since this thread is about him) I don't want him to leave. Despite his Cheryl antics and other debarcles off the pitch, he is still the best left back in the world, and I for one would be pissed off if they even considered selling him. This summer has been about players leaving Chelsea so far, not players coming in.. it's ridiculous.
