+ 1 I actually like the idea of Ramires and Essien in the same midfield. Although the similarity of their style could scupper their performance, look at what happened when Lampard and Ballack played in the same side, or in the early England days when Lampard and Gerrard tried to gel as a midfield pairing...

At £33 million, it's just not worth signing him. I'd rather see us giving Hutchinson and Bruma a chance in the squad

Anyone who is young and a decent player to have has my backing! After all, we do need proper young players who we are going to get the best out of for a few years at least. Especially when we've lost the likes of Joe Cole, Ballack and Deco (pretty much), you would expect someone to come in as a replacement who has just as good quality.
