Yeah I agree, €15 million is a bit pricey when we want to sign players like Aguero, who I really want us to sign, so signing a midfielder at 27 is a bit of a gamble.

His form may have been poor at the world cup, but he has Premier League experience and I would love to see him at Chelsea! Only problem... he's just far too pricey! Last bid we made according to some tabloids was £70 million... I don't want us to spend that much on Torres.

English club Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign FC Porto midfielder Raul Meireles, as the Dragons close on a deal for Sporting midfielder Joao Moutinho. Porto last night reportedly agreed a deal with Sporting for Moutinho, who will sign a four-year deal with Andre Villas Boas’ side. The Lisbon club will receive €10m, plus a player in exchange, with Nuno Coelho likely to be the makeweight. Sporting will also receive 30% of any future sell-on fee should Moutinho move abroad in the future. Moutinho is expected to arrive at the Dragao as a direct replacement for Raul Meireles, who has been the subject of speculation over a big-money transfer after enjoying a bright World Cup for Portugal. Meireles was linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid over the weekend, but sources in Portugal suggest England is now his most likely destination. According to reports, Chelsea are now at the front of the queue for the 27-year-old, who is expected to cost around €15m. Sources in Germany are claiming that Bayern Munich man Thomas Muller is now Carlo Ancelotti’s number one summer transfer target. I just think everyone should take a good read of what Toft said. We must take faith in what Carlo does for this club. FFS he won us the title and the FA Cup in his first season...something Mourinho never did with us. Everyone here believes that Benayoun won't be a regular starter, so that gives you an incentive that we have a whole 2 months to bring in a couple more players, which is what Toft rightly pointed out. Hopefully one of them will be Sergio Aguero. God bless Scandinavians

Manchester City have signed midfielder Yaya Toure from Barcelona on a five-year deal for a fee of about £24m. The 27-year-old, who played for Ivory Coast at this summer's World Cup, was told he was surplus to requirements at the Catalan club last week. it just sickens me because there is a whole world cup going on in South Africa to be looking around for potential players, but they would much rather sign up 30-year-old Liverpool rejects like Benayoun to replace Joe Cole. there are some weird crackheads going on in the Chelsea boardroom. I want to make a debatable thread about Twitter because for a reason I can't understand, I keep going back there to read different types of tweets, whether it's to do with World Cup Motty or anything about Amanda Bynes. I believe it's mostly where celebrities hang out rather than places like facebook or bebo or anywhere else. Quite frankly, I don't understand why Twitter is such a massive hit these days. All it seems to be is a place where you can update a status, and..... that's about it. I don't suppose you can send messages to anyone else or stuff like that... just.... update a status. Why do that when you can do it on facebook?? Or is twitter a place for anti-facebook people?? Can anyone clear this up?? Is it really worth getting a twitter account? Discuss!
