  1. Sorry, but offering £70 million for an out-of-form world cup star is bloody ridiculous... no!!
  2. I gotta say TX, that doesn't look all that bad! ..... I also think these squad numbers are going to pan out nicely The suqad numbers will be... #7 Kakuta #9 Fernando Torres #10 Sergio Aguero #14 Yossi Benayoun Yeah this probably won't happen but we can all dream!
  3. oh yeah that's right! And he plays for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, which is Ukranian not Uzbekistani
  4. Isn't he a player who was on loan from us at PSV along with Alex? .... until he joined Benfica?? I don't know, I might be wrong..could be thinking of someone else
  5. Yeah I agree, €15 million is a bit pricey when we want to sign players like Aguero, who I really want us to sign, so signing a midfielder at 27 is a bit of a gamble.
  6. His form may have been poor at the world cup, but he has Premier League experience and I would love to see him at Chelsea! Only problem... he's just far too pricey! Last bid we made according to some tabloids was £70 million... I don't want us to spend that much on Torres.
  7. English club Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign FC Porto midfielder Raul Meireles, as the Dragons close on a deal for Sporting midfielder Joao Moutinho. Porto last night reportedly agreed a deal with Sporting for Moutinho, who will sign a four-year deal with Andre Villas Boas’ side. The Lisbon club will receive €10m, plus a player in exchange, with Nuno Coelho likely to be the makeweight. Sporting will also receive 30% of any future sell-on fee should Moutinho move abroad in the future. Moutinho is expected to arrive at the Dragao as a direct replacement for Raul Meireles, who has been the subject of speculation over a big-money transfer after enjoying a bright World Cup for Portugal. Meireles was linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid over the weekend, but sources in Portugal suggest England is now his most likely destination. According to reports, Chelsea are now at the front of the queue for the 27-year-old, who is expected to cost around €15m. There has been no official agreement between the clubs for Meireles, but agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Blues’ players Hilario, Ricardo Carvalho, Deco and Paulo Ferreira, is again taking a central role in the negotiations. ---------------------------------------------- Source:- Portu-GOAL.net ----------------------------------------------
  8. Plus fucking one! what have I been saying about us losing english players, and no-one takes a blind bit of notice (I mean the Chelsea board, not the forum members)
  9. We don't need Ramos! He's a right back, and we already have Bosingwa and Ivanovic for that position next season
  10. Sources in Germany are claiming that Bayern Munich man Thomas Muller is now Carlo Ancelotti’s number one summer transfer target. The young attacker has had a fantastic World Cup thus far, scoring four goals to help the Germans to the semi-finals. The 20 year old adaptable attacker was a relative unknown until this season when he established himself as a crucial part of Louis Van Gaal’s side, scoring 19 goals during the Bavarian club’s double winning success. He has followed up with some superb performances for his country to make himself indispensable to Joachim Low’s plans. Ancelotti has been looking at various potential targets as he looks to freshen up his somewhat ageing Stamford Bridge side and has reportedly earmarked the powerfully built youngster as a signing he is very keen on making. He may have his work cut out however as Muller has only recently signed a new contract keeping him at the Allianz Arena until 2013 however the allure of a move to the Premier League may tempt the talented Munich man. Roman Abramovich has stated that he would back Ancelotti’s attempts to bring in new faces following the departure of Michael Ballack and Joe Cole and the likely exit of Portuguese veteran Deco and would be more than happy to fund a move for the player thought to be valued at around £22m. --------------------------------------- Source:- caughtoffside.com --------------------------------------- I gotta say it, I watched him play against Argentina today, he scared the living dayights out of their defence. He's a really good player to be linked with, but I doubt if Bayern would want to sell. I mean, £22 million is not that much of a British record breaking amount, but Bayern will want more money for him I would imagine because of his outstanding World Cup performances. In conclusion.. Great player, but Bayern won't want to sell.
  11. That may be true, but it took Arsenal until the following January to sign up Arshavin after he amazed everyone at Euro 2008. Don't rule anything out! We have 2 months to strike a deal. I'm not throwing in any towels just yet.
  12. One report leads to many my friend.... I'm praying to god that this happens! The one player I want to see wearing blue next season is Aguero!! Please Carlo sign him up!!
  13. well, Argentina are out of the world cup so we should expect some activity. Aguero is the man I really really want!! If someone else signs him I will be very upset!!
  14. Just reminding people how good he can be...
  15. I just think everyone should take a good read of what Toft said. We must take faith in what Carlo does for this club. FFS he won us the title and the FA Cup in his first season...something Mourinho never did with us. Everyone here believes that Benayoun won't be a regular starter, so that gives you an incentive that we have a whole 2 months to bring in a couple more players, which is what Toft rightly pointed out. Hopefully one of them will be Sergio Aguero. God bless Scandinavians
  16. hats off to you fella! that is an exeedingly good post!! :goodpost:
  17. Yeah I agree, and they have Kompany, Lescott and both Toures now, who are all defence-minded.
  18. *sigh* Welcome to Chelsea Benayoun! If he reckons he's good enough to play for us, then he'd better show it!!
  19. Aguero, Neymar and Kakuta! I'd love to see them in the same team and run defences ragged!! Yes please
  20. Manchester City have signed midfielder Yaya Toure from Barcelona on a five-year deal for a fee of about £24m. The 27-year-old, who played for Ivory Coast at this summer's World Cup, was told he was surplus to requirements at the Catalan club last week. "This is another fantastic signing for Manchester City," manager Roberto Mancini told the club's website. Toure's arrival follows deals for Spain midfielder David Silva and Germany defender Jerome Boateng. Toure, who will enjoy a three-week break before joining his new team-mates for pre-season training, is thought to have cost City in the region of £28m, taking the club's summer outlay to about £60m - still some way short of last season's £120m spending spree. --------------------------------------------------------- Source:- BBC Website --------------------------------------------------------- So Stephen Ireland, Nigel de Jong, Patrick Vieira and now Yaya Toure will compete for one DM spot at Man City...? Fucking circus act if you ask me!!
  21. a lot of the tabloids and news reports state that Benayoun is meant to be the replacement for Cole... The Lord only knows why!!! Kakuta yes! Benayoun no!! I'm sorry but I just don't think he's a player we should be signing, are you aware of his age?? He's two years older than Joe Cole is. Sergio Aguero - Chelsea's future!!
  22. it just sickens me because there is a whole world cup going on in South Africa to be looking around for potential players, but they would much rather sign up 30-year-old Liverpool rejects like Benayoun to replace Joe Cole. there are some weird crackheads going on in the Chelsea boardroom. As Kez said, it feels like we're going backwards
  23. I want to make a debatable thread about Twitter because for a reason I can't understand, I keep going back there to read different types of tweets, whether it's to do with World Cup Motty or anything about Amanda Bynes. I believe it's mostly where celebrities hang out rather than places like facebook or bebo or anywhere else. Quite frankly, I don't understand why Twitter is such a massive hit these days. All it seems to be is a place where you can update a status, and..... that's about it. I don't suppose you can send messages to anyone else or stuff like that... just.... update a status. Why do that when you can do it on facebook?? Or is twitter a place for anti-facebook people?? Can anyone clear this up?? Is it really worth getting a twitter account? Discuss!
