  1. Oh for fuck sake not another one going out on loan!! please!!!
  2. Lennon is more of a left/right sided midfielder/winger, not a striker. 7 is still a midfielder number. David Beckham is a midfielder and he used to have that number when he played for England. Also Rosicky at Arsenal.
  3. 7 is a cursed number! I hope he's going to fulfil it! It's a good number for a midfielder anyway
  4. Chelsea have been linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Nicolas Burdisso following Ricardo Carvalho's £6.7million move to Real Madrid. Sportsmail understands that the Blues are keen on Benfica's Brazil defender David Luiz, but a £27million price tag could lead them to look at other targets. Reports in Italy suggest Carlo Ancelotti could return to Italy for 29-year-old Burdisso, and Inter technical director Marco Branca has added fuel to the fire by confirming there has been interest from England. The Argentina defender's agent insisted last week there had been no contact yet from Chelsea, but Branca said: 'I can confirm that Burdisso has many admirers in England.' Ancelotti deployed John Terry and Alex at the centre of his defence in Sunday's 6-0 win against West Bromwich and also has Branislav Ivanovic to call on. But the Stamford Bridge boss must decide whether to bring in a replacement for Carvalho, who was sold to Real last week or give opportunities to the likes of Michael Mancienne or Jeffrey Bruma. Like Luiz, Burdisso is versatile enough to play anywhere along the back four. He had hoped to clinch a permanent move to Roma, where he spent last season on loan, but the clubs have failed to agree a fee. -------------------------------- Source: Daily Mail -------------------------------- Too Old?? To be honest I don't think we need him, but I set up a discussion anyway
  5. That should be the end of that!! Jeffrey Bruma, make a name for yourself lad!
  6. Maradona would have to learn English if he gets the Villa job! Should be interesting to hear him speaking English for the first time nonetheless, it would be a massive coup for Villa, a lot of Argentine players would be attracted no doubt (bar Messi)
  7. haha I wonder what the odds are on that?? my dad uses paddy power online to bet for stuff like that, gets quite a lot of stuff right too :eyebrows:
  8. well, my point was, that since van der sar is older, he's more likely to be injury prone... could be a false point but nevertheless, I know people who think that.
  9. definitely agree, and he would have Didier as his mentor to guide him along as well, hopefully they'll be playing in the same side week in week out as well!
  10. I notice as well there are some names on his arm as well? I suspect those are names of his children? Edit: Hahaha deja vu Alex
  11. Vialli was and still is a legend! I remember some of the goals he used to score
  12. We lost 3-1 at the DW Stadium last season against Wigan. Petr Cech got a red card in that game. However, if Blackpool can beat them, surely we can. Also, looking forward to seeing Ramires playing on his debut. Will he come on as a sub, or will he be chosen in the starting XI Prediction: Wigan 1-3 Chelsea.
  13. it won't be done today. If it was done today I'd be very suprised. Like Ramires he would need a work permit to play here, and that would take time. It could even be turned down.
  14. Exactly, and I remember he was fairly young too... 19 years of age??
  15. welcome to Talk Chelsea mate! Hope you can stick around!
  16. That flick by Lampard at 2:59 in that video is just effortless! And he's also the master at the long ball! Just stunning! What would we do without Frankie!
  17. Sheva cost £30 million and he kept a bench warm!
  18. We've been talking about it in some threads but I thought I'd set up a sole thread about this. What number will Ramires wear for Chelsea this season.
  19. My god! It's a splitting image of Bruce Buck! Love it
  20. I don't think it will be resolved right away, I still have a feeling this saga has loads to run yet! Right now the saga's up in the air, and people are saying different things. Alvaro Ribeiro wants Neymar to stay, Santos could report Chelsea to FIFA for tapping up the player, agent, Wagner Ribeiro is adament Neymar wants to play in Europe, but Neymar is saying he wants to stay at Santos and win more silverware with the club. I believe if anything is going to get resolved, it will go right down to the wire.
