Fair enough! But how do you think they're able to keep themselves at the top half of the table?? Competing and Qualifying in the Champions League?? Imagine if you take out all the Chelsea superstars, Terry, Cech, Lampard, Essien, Drogba etc, all you had to work with was the youngsters... what would be the outcome?? (bearing in mind that they've not had much of a chance to prove themselves because of us having to use all of these superstars)

Would have preferred it if Zola took the job, or Steve Clarke to make a return, this move seems a bit rushed, they could have at leasted given it some more thought!

Okay I admit, they are a team with a host of European pedigree, but if I was a young superstar with the world at my feet, I'd be wanting to play alongside other quality superstars at either Barcelona, Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, United.... At the moment I don't think Juve don't really have anyone well-known bar the likes of Felipe Melo, Del Piero and maybe Krasic?? (no offence to any Juve fans here) Although I must admit, Juve's history does draw some attention, if you're a Serie A follower I suppose.

you're absolutely right!! We should take a leaf out of Arsenal's book. We may call Arsene a voyeur and a pedo, but you've got to hand it to him. He's been at Arsenal since 1996, and he's extremely clever at scouting young players whom he knows can cut it. Jack Wilshere, prime example of that. Cesc Fabregas, another example.... Walcott, Song, Denilson, Djourou, Eboue, Ramsey, Gibbs, Clichy, Vela.... the list could probably go on, and you wonder why many say they play better football than us. Not to mention Ferguson's way of handling young players. Hernandez (or "Chicharito" if he's meant to be called) got signed on a pre-contract agreement... Bebe's probably going to be a big striker in a few years time. Then you have Danny Welbeck on loan at Sunderland who turned our defence inside out on Sunday... bet you he'll be a big 'un. And then you have the likes of Rafael and Fabio. Liverpool are blooding N'Gog who is turning himself into quite a lethal striker. "Lucas" when he first joined Liverpool was a young nobody until he was cemented a rotating role in their side. But what have Chelsea done?? Spends Spend spend on the world's best players, and being the types of players that they are (they could be 27 or older) you want to play them because they are world class week-in-week-out, and in that time, the youth players don't stand a chance! I would be confident to predict that Man City could land themselves into the same problem in the future, if they spend so much money on players. And what about our young players?? Ermmm... Give Miroslav Stoch a couple of games and then loan him out and sell him.... give Mancienne a long-term deal, don't play him in any games whatsoever and loan him out constantly to Wolves until they say they want to permanently sign him (they've done so already I think)..... sell, I would say a very pacy and quick Scott Sinclair to Swansea (check him out nowadays...not a bad player) .... I don't think we've EVER given a game to Borini yet have we?? He'll be gone soon if that continues .... erm ... Jeffrey Bruma got preferred to by Ferreira against Sunderland who isn't even built to be a centreback, and got casually owned by Welbeck et al. Patrick van Aanholt needs a gme because I don't think he's been given one yet... and even if he had, I don't remember it, with the exception of that 4-3 defeat at home to Newcastle in the Carling Cup because he scored in that game. But my bottom line to all of this is, because we've bought so many superstars (usually old and experienced ones....Ballack, Deco) our youngsters when they get a chance play like they have never had a chance to have any playing time at all, and they're always all over the place... compared to Arsenal, United and Liverpool's youngsters, who can gel into a side and play really nice football.

Jesus Christ, is there any way of satisfying us Chelsea fans sometimes, everyone complained about how stale our squad was with regards to age... everyone was too old! since then, we've let some old players move on, and now we're complaining because we have useless young talent?? People like that should get a grip, accept this defeat for what it is, and keep the faith it's still November!!!

Scratch the 2-4 defeat to Citeh last season ... ... it give me a distinct pleasure to report, that I have watched the worst Chelsea display I have seen in years!! Chelsea should take a real HARD look at themselves, because that display was fucking abysmal!! I am absolutely fucking fuming!! :rant:
