  1. Sneijder owned our midfield when we faced Inter last season. He was instrumental for them under Mourinho, and then he went on and played an excellent world cup. I wouldn't say he was overrated!
  2. He could work really well with McEachran in the middle playing off him if he was willing and able.
  3. I really hope Torres will score for us in this game! His first goal is due I reckon. I believe in the first leg he was close to scoring because he ran into all the right places and he was close to scoring on a few occaisions. it'll be a lot easier for him at the Bridge.
  4. Great player, no doubt about it! I don't see him coming here IMO. But strange things have happened!
  5. I agree. It's also partly due to the fact that Wilkins isn't there. Carlo has no-one to talk to on the touchline about tactics. He just sits there on his own looking lost most of the time, especially during our spell of crisis, while being thrashed at home to Sunderland and all the rest of it. And Carlo is right able sex football costing us. We don't have the right players to perform "sexy football" because a majority of them are beginning to reach their peaks... Lampard, Malouda, Drogba et al. And the likes of Zhirkov, Kalou, Mikel have failed to impress. I'm prepared for mega changes in the summer, I'm not so sure about Carlo leaving however. I don't like the idea of seeing the back of another manager, when the one we currently have won us a double in his first season, and experienced "only one" real crisis in a season. All top quality managers experience downfalls, and yet they revive a team over time. Which is why I hope Carlo stays. I back him 100%. If he "had" to leave however, I pray for Mourinho to return.
  6. 3rd place if we beat City and win our game in hand over them, without losing in the mean-time!
  7. Carlos Tevez will become David Luiz's bitch! You heard it here first
  8. Great post. Agree with everything there, especially the first paragraph!
  9. Putting on our star players would be a sensible idea. Copenhagen will want to beat us regardless of the situation. If we are 2-0 up at half time, with the aggregate score of 4-0, then I would say bring on the likes of McEachran for Lampard. At the end of the day, we need to rest some players for when we face City the following weekend because that will be a tough game.
  10. Couldn't agree more! It shows why the club want Josh to be the club's future! McEachran = one club man!
  11. Happy Birthday Chelsea! 106 years old today! :blue scalf:
  12. This should be straightforward, no fuck ups! We should win 3-0 at home easily I reckon! I think McEachran should play a big part in this game as well! It will give him some more European experience
  13. Arsenal will beat Liverpool at home! I can't remember the last time the scousers won away to Arsenal
  14. I honestly don't think we will win the league this season, but if we carry on with this revival, we can leapfrog City and finish third!
  15. Clifford is a decent player, and would make a great captain in the future
  16. Cech will be fit to play, so hopefully that won't happen this time City only won 4-2 last season because of Hilario's instability!
  17. Absolutely! I think Essien is beginning to see his better days now... slowly! :eyebrows:
  18. That's a bit of a silly accusation to make isn't it?
  19. This will be really beneficial if we win this game!! Optimistic, but a win and a game in hand over them would really work well in our favour!
  20. You can't really say it's "missing" creativity completely however. Take Ramires for example. He has really gone up a gear as this season has gone on, and he is finally beginning to find spaces, and run into those spaces. It's everyone else that hasn't pulled their weight, and that's partly because either they are being used in the wrong way, or their ages are beginning to creep up on them. The likes of Lampard, Essien and Malouda haven't delivered where it has mattered most. They haven't created enough, and they haven't played with enough passion, as they have done in previous seasons. Had they have done so, we would almost certainly NOT be sitting 4th at the moment. Which brings me onto another matter. Everyone argued that a 4-4-2 diamond never used to work in games where we have used it (it was used a lot in pre-season and if you look back at those results, they speak for themselves), suddenly, our trustworthy 4-3-3 has started to fail, and yet a 4-4-2 is beginning to function it seems....
  21. Not even Gerrard can get 20+ goals a season :eyebrows:
  22. That's because he isn't. Lampard is an enforcer in the middle of our team. Yes he scores goals, yes he can play in a really good ball, but I don't think he's a playmaker by any means. Josh McEachran on the other hand, is (or will be).
