I really hope this game doesn't turn out to be one of those games a la Newcastle last season when we lost 4-3 at home. Fulham can be a dangerous team in a cup competition regardless of where they are in the league! I reckon Boas will put out a reasonably young team for this one..

Unfortunately for us, he's only scored 2 for us so far in as many games... for Liverpool, he scored a hatful, so this supposed "miss" you refer to for Liverpool wasn't much of a problem for him

I do hope you're right there! Boas dropped him for the Sunderland game partly because Torres wasn't pulling his weight on the goals front If in arguement's sake Boas was to drop Torres, I hope it's not because of that miss...

I put utter shame on every United fan who laps this up and talks non-stop about Torres' miss...

I'm with what Sh0n3x said... I sincerely feel sorry for him... a player like Torres doesn't deserve all the critical slating that he gets!

I obviously thought it was a good game. I just wish we took the game to them a lot more than we did. There were also a real number of faults that Boas made before the game. First of all, Mikel should have started instead of Meireles. I don't know but something tells me Mikel is a lot more strong as a DM than Meireles is, particularly against an agressive an attack-minded side like United. Meireles was awful! He couldn't deal with the likes of Nani or Young at all! Someone big like Mikel would have kicked them around and not let them get a sight of the wings at all. So 2 offside decisions, a ricochet never should have happened, Ramires should have scored, Torres scores, Torres should have blatently scored, on a better day, we should have won 3-0 And as for Torres' miss... I'm trying so hard not to think about it.. Still, I still have blue blood, it wasn't 8-2, at least I can be happy about that! KTBFFH I don't even remember if he touched the ball when he came on!
