I don't know if it's the vibe that I got from the Fulham game, or something I just thought, but I believe we look better in midfield with Josh in the middle, more than Lampard being there. Lampard is good when he wants to be, but McEachran adds fresh ideas to the midfield, much like Wilshere at Arsenal, and that's what we're lacking. Mata looked very lightweight coming up against people like Britton and Dyer, who were both all over him when he had the ball. I think Mata needs to create a bit more space for himself before he makes a pass, so that we have more of a chance of opening them up with either a Ramires burst, or Ashley Cole moving up the wing ready to cross it into the box!

The other bright side, is that now, Lukaku has a chance to add some games to his experience locker, unless Drogba is planning a return to the side!

I expect us not only to win this but to get a clean sheet from it as well! Boas should have learned by now that our defence has been leaking goals left right and centre in the last few games because it has been awful compared to previous seasons! I also reckon a majority of players could be rested for this game... people like Luiz because they tired themselves out in the Carling Cup game against Fulham... Also, Romeu should be given a chance to play in this game. He was exceptional in mid week... I'd like us to play this team against Swansea... 1) Maybe bring on Mikel for Romeu some time during the second half if things aren't going well... 2) Anelka is only there because I assume Sturridge is injured... otherwise I would have chosen him!
