I was thinking specifically of the left footers who like to play on the right flank

I was at the under 18s FA Youth Cup tie against Man City last night. A friend sent me the story of Paul Green's departure from the club. As soon as I saw it, I began discussing it with a bunch of other CFCW regulars. One of the theories we discussed was that Sonia wanted more autonomy because, notionally at least, she reported to Paul who then reported to the sporting directors and the CEO.
Sonia has spoken a number of times about how closely she works with the sporting directors on various topics. Regardless of how she might personally have felt about her relationship with Paul, and I don't know either way, you can see how the manager would prefer not to have a third voice potentially diluting or gainsaying her own thoughts.
I'm not fully convinced that Paul Green was that impactful around the team. He had the administrative role to manage the Team during the Emma Hayes era but she made all of the team decisions, including transfers. Right at the end Emma's time the club created the post of CEO for the women's team to manage the budget, business side, and player contracts. This limited Paul's function still further.
I think these factors have more or less squeezed his role out of existence. I don't foresee anything changing other than everyone will have stopped pretending that Paul's job continued to exist in any meaningful way. Naturally Sonia would want to make all footballing decisions herself but, understanding that the club structure means she can't, she would want to work directly with the people who do. Whether it's right or it's wrong, Wintstanley and Stewart are those people.
I also watched the women's under 21s v ManU last week so my personal score in academy games this month is Chelsea 2, Manchester 11.

We'd be looking at £11.44m if he is sold for £50m but none of the bonuses are triggered, up to £19.44m if he leaves Liverpool for £70m after triggering all bonuses Chelsea can be entitled to.
Bearing in mind the lad chose to walk away from our club without ever signing a professional contract, that would not be a bad return.

According to the comment above which describes the settlement, Chelsea are entitled to 20% of Liverpool's profit from a future transfer, not 20% of the total transfer fee the reds might receive. So the calculation would be based on the fee Liverpool receive (f), the basic £2.8m Liverpool initially paid Chelsea, and any bonuses (b) they may have paid to Chelsea before the player is sold on. So:-
Chelsea's eventual sell on fee =
    (f - b - 2.8) x 0.2

Lazy dismissal of Noni's time here. It is not a surprise a team that finished above us spent 50m on him. He was second only to Doku in progressive ball carries last season and is a useful weapon vs low blocks even if his finishing was iffy.
Also, the point is trading Madueke out and bringing Gittens in makes the squad weaker. Madueke is far ahead in his development. It made more sense to sign an elite winger and have Madueke as competition than what we have now - Gittens in a starting role

Not saying he’s crap but Noni is better than Gittens now. It’s not even close.

To be fair, I think he had to factor in that Pablo might get a touch and redirect it towards the centre of goal. This is what makes him a fraction late getting across to his right hand post.

He is ruining his brand IMHO, at least in terms of being a reputable source.
    BUT...
Maybe he now is getting a tonne more clicks, making an ever-increasing amount of revenue, as perhaps the average person just wants to see rumour-whore bollocks spewed at them daily.
I would not have a hard time believing that. Look at the state of socio-political, socio-economic affairs, especially as spun up by AI-turbocharged social media..
I see a world that has hundreds of millions of sponges (ie they soak up whatever is spoon-fed them in their silos) and stooges who love to be lied to, as long as the lying fits their world-view and comes from their 'side'.

I dont give a fuck what he will or wont do at city, i am purely looking at it from a Chelsea perspective. I think he is a great fit for Chelsea and I cant think of anyone Chelsea could realistically get, that I would want to replace Maresca.

Well, you can count me as one.

This is going to work out as well as it could in the circumstances. Moises will miss the next two games but be fully rested for the vitaly important Atalanta match. He then serves the final game of his suspension against Cardiff. A fixture there is a good chance he would have been rested for in any case.

Inevitable. The economics of such a development was certain, on its own, to overwhelm any plans involving a football stadium. Throw in the political pressures at national, regional, plus local levels, and a football stadium was never, ever, going to win the argument.
