  1. I'm confident about this one. Chelsea didn't have much trouble against small teams at home last year. It was our away form against them that made us lose the league and that seems better but it's too early to tell. Also, Everton has been very strong and we do well against strong teams. The real challenge will come in the next away games against mid table teams, Crystal Place and then Man United. This is where we've struggled last season.
  2. On top of all of this: CITY LOST!!!! BEST WEEKEND EVER!
  3. It wasn't drogba? My stream has shit quality. It looked like Drogba and I'm pretty sure the commentator said Drogba..
  4. DROGBA TO COSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Lukaku, THIS is why there was no room for you in Chelsea.
  5. I told you.... I fucking told you. OMFG.
  6. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATIC!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they'll score another one, you'll see.
  7. Beep Beep, here comes the bus driver! lol
  8. So we fixed the striker problem and now we have a problem in defense? You gotta be fucking kidding me.
  9. Jose is turning him into a left back they said.
  10. So asking a winger to aid the team in defense is wasting his talent rather than expanding it? Di Maria did tremendous defending work at Real Madrid and that never made him a lesser winger. On the contrary. Here, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Football . When you are done, read it again and then one more time. After that, come back to this thread and ask a mod to delete that stupid post.
  11. True. But if we take 2-0 to stoppage time, I expect Jose to park it in the second half though
  12. Missed the goals too.. >.< Where is the GIFs guy?
  13. At this point in time if you go through redcafe, you'll notice ManU fans still believe United will come back to the top. I wonder how long will it be until they finally accept their domination era is over and start settling for top 4 every year like Liverpool and Arsenal. There is no way United will come back to the top anytime soon. Not this season, not the next. They have spent close to 150m this summer (not to mention last season) and over 50% of their team still needs reshaping. Not only have they spent, but they have spent incompetently (e.g. Fellaini, Mata, Herrera). They would need to spend another 150m EFFICIENTLY to be able to even compete with Chelsea or City for the title. And that will not happen because it won't be long before 2 or 3 consecutive seasons of Champions League deprivation start taking their toll on both the club's finances and its ability to attract stars. They already find themselves in a position where they must overpay ridiculously in order to get business done in the transfer market. This will only get worse and worse until the Glazers (who never liked the idea of investing in the club) will eventually pull out of this spending spree, which will be met with pressure and anger from the fans. Maybe I'm over thinking here but I firmly believe Manchester United is done as a serious title contender in England for the next decade.
  14. Benzema is not the type of stiker that will carry us to the PL but he would be absolutely perfect as a second choice to Diego Costa. He would definitely give Costa a run for his place in the starting 11. He could efficiently replace Costa in the event of an injury. With the right price, he would be a perfect second striker for us. The only problem is that Real Madrid will also see him as a perfect backup for Falcao...
  15. Here's a deal for Milan: if you want Van Ginkel, you MUST(!) take Torres too.
  16. At Real Madrid, defenses were too much worried about Ronaldo and Bale, which left plenty of spaces for Di Maria to dribble on. Same at Argentina with Messi. At United with that price tag, the spotlight will be all over him as the main man. He will be closely marked by at least 2 players for the first time in his career. And in those circumstances, I strongly believe Hazard will prove himself better in the end.
  17. He's wonderful yes but very irregular. Much like Ozil, he often got under Mourinho's nerves at Real Madrid because he shined one game and disappeared the next. I may get stick for saying this but he's not worth 60 million. And the people who say he is Real Madrid's engine, said the same about Ozil. When Ozil went to Arsenal, everyone was quick to say he would easily become the PL's best player. One season later people have now realized that he wasn't as important to Real Madrid as everyone thought (even though he had the most assists of the team) and he also wasn't worth the money paid for him. With Di Maria will be the same thing. He will be great for United but they will regret paying 60 million. People often think that players like Cristiano Ronaldo have it easier because they play alongside the likes of Di Maria, but it actually works both ways. Teams put so much effort into covering Cristiano that they leave spaces in the field for players like Di Maria and Ozil to shine. He'll be great for United but he won't be nearly as good as he was at Real Madrid. And no, he won't help them into top 4 this season either.
  18. Também sou do Sporting e sei que este dinheiro dava jeito ao clube. Mas há que ser honesto. Never worth 40 million.
  19. I would be very surprised if Jose used these sneaky dirty tricks to get Torres out. One of the things Ibrahimovic wrote in his book that he loved about Mourinho is that, "unlike Guardiola", Jose told the players exactly what he thought about them face to face. He actually used that as a comparison to call Guardiola a coward. It wouldn't surprise me if Jose benched Torres permanently to get him to leave, but I believe that would only happen after he spoke to Fernando and declared that he doesn't want him in the team anymore. And I also don't think, as a human being, Mourinho would take it personal and start treating Torres like shit.
  20. Torres is still a major star among Spanish Atletico fans. He would sell plenty of shirts there. At least in the first 3 months or so until they realized how shit he's become. But for the time being, I'm sure it would be profitable for them.
  21. Cech is one of the 3 best goal keepers in the world. He'd be an improvement in EVERY European club except Bayern Munich. The question is who needs him enough to pay big money for him. That's the problem.
  22. why not just send him on a loan to atletico and have them pay his wages while he's there?
  23. Telegraph: Barcelona did not use Cesc Fabregas in his best position, argues Jose Mourinho
