Just plug Gundogan and either Daley Blind or Chiekhou Kouyate in that CM and add some quality in the fullbacks. http://www.whufc.com/Teams/First-Team/Squad/Cheikhou-Kouyate

I feel I've nearly run out interest in this sport recently. Chelsea's nearly incessant crap play for x-number of years and poor TV coverage in the U.S. of Italy and Spain --along with a recent lack of Eredivisie and Bundesliga, have nearly extirpated my passion for the game. No, I'm not turning on another La Liga match to see Messi, nor Madrid because I DON'T FUCKING CARE. Not another boring InterMilan match either. The Premier League keeps getting applause from the pundits, but I'm seeing a lot of crap play aside from Chelsea.

Xhaka will never be as good as Gundogan, but he does hunt people down in MF. To me, Xhaka is nowhere near the top level when faced with a top opponent, but I'll admit that my view is limited based on the number of times I've watched him AND the circustances of his side (lineup changes, injuries, etc). Krychowiak might be a better choice in that role however. I supported Schniederlin coming to Chelsea after his first season in the Premier League with Soton, but if you gave me the choice between MFs from United right now, I would take Blind.

Disagree. Chelsea need: 2 fullbacks, 2 CBs, 2-3 CMs, one new striker, a better backup GK perhaps, and we might need at least one new AM/winger with might unfold with Hazard. so, it's essentially as Guardiola reportedly stated about CFC.
-
well, I'm on-board with the overhaul crowd as of today. complete mess.
-
a new striker first, on top of a continuing crap midfield. I guess the logic is that Diego and Pato can get drunk together and score a lot as a tandem. they better score a lot with the lot playing behind them.
-
Bournemouth are signing potential goalscorers and Chelsea are doing nothing. Let's have another peek into the drop zone.

I'd jump on a chance for Wynaldum. never quits, has skills and can finish. Looking for new centre midfielders, I would take someone like Daley Blind in a heartbeat too (and not use him as a CB unless every CB were injured). amazing that Daley Blind and Morgan Schneiderlin aren't starting in CM on United, but that side is a mess too; just not as bad as Chelsea obviously. If someone can get some spying cockroaches into chelsea meetings right about now, the audio footage would be priceless. FFS, what is going on in football? personally, the question bigger than Chelsea right now is just how crap this generation of footballers really is (or is it the lack of superstars, mediocrity, and better defending all combined?)??? Azpi--Stones--Terry/Zouma/Christiansen/other--Rodriguez/Gaya Blind -----------Gundogan RLC Willian------------------someone------------------??? manager: Gary Neville.

Even though I haven't watched every minute of every match in 2015, I would say that Matic didn't just become poor. Mourinho and Chelsea ran him into the ground while our centre midfield has run on one leg instead of two or three. He's also not the wizard Makelele, nor Vidal, nor any of the other super CMs, but even those players played alongside competent CMs. So, I'm not sure what people expect with Chelsea's centre midfield. It's been so long that Chelsea have played without depth and quality players in centre midfield and fullback (going back to when Ballack and Essien played regularly) while previously lacking in good attacking midfielders/wingers that I can't trust what a Chelsea fan has to say about a player within our squad. The situation has been so unbalanced and the attack build-up so inept for so long (esp. without Drogba btw). Well, maybe I'm wrong to post this now in response to Matic criticism on the forum lately. I'm also not a fanboy. I won't feel any worse if he is sold with the rest of the centre midfielders but I do think he's capable of doing much better in the future. Throwing Leicester City's little monster into our MF might help, but at this point the season looks so FUBAR, I don't know what to say about transfers. Best thing would be to build from the back.

The only GOOD thing about this pathetic match: reality hits under Guus during the WINDOW... for whatever that's worth nowadays. Re-signing Ivanovic? WTH CHelsea?
-
On to another sport or hobby. All spectator sports get boring eventually.
-
BEAUTIFUL KENEDY! Magic touch. Just when I was beginning to think this is a total crap match. We seeing RLC at all today? ah, so it's an OG.
-
Wow, are these referees in the Prem complete morons or is it required to wait for someone re-tying his shoe?
-
If Chelsea had another quality CM in their entire squad who starts regularly, Matic's supposed shortcomings would not be such an issue for some of you. How do you expect one player to cover the space for 2 slow defenders and a 2nd CM who isn't positioned correctly then have the stamina to contribute anything coherent otherwise? He needs to practice binary fission, I guess.

Anyone in this forum who thinks Mikel is just having a bad day has either been in denial for a long time or doesn't understand/see something (again and again and again). Mikel can't run a midfield. Let's see if he gives one away in the 2nd half.
-
1 shot on target for the 1st half and guess what? best player on the pitch is Darren Fletcher even though Diego is running his socks off. centre midfield is too weak. Pedro is an accessory to ineptitude from CM. Hope you figure it out Guus, CFC.
-
This is pathetic (again). need a new FB and different CM.
-
dumb centre midfield and a bad right back again. I guess the only positive from this is that Guus gets to analyze the weakness of the regular starters.
-
I heard the words "box-to-box" MF from Hiddink's mouth in that last post-match, so I'm thinking that's going to be a buy this month. IMO, we ought be be getting the CM and a fullback. The striker problem might be addressed too, but that's probably going to happen at the last minute. I guess the alternative is to let Bertrand and Bamford fill the FallenCow backup role.

Certainly was one of the first famous weird persons in music and pop culture. It's hard to know how influential he's been; one needs to ask the older musical members of Generation X to truly know Bowie's influence. RIP, David.

I don't see that there would be a lack of creativity from those three. I'm not a Mikel fan, but I would support that centre midfield trio.

How badly do you want Pogba in London? Just want to see what people say. IN: Pogba ADD: Guinean MF and Gundogan along with a new fullback and one new striker. OUT: Cuadrado, Matic

Same here. In the end, it was a good idea to defeat the opposition in one match with the thought of using the regular starters, but I still get the feeling that it would have been better to use one or two younger players who could have provided something more to kill them off earlier. Cesar can do even better from the right side and we know that Baba puts in excellent crosses. At least there's no 2nd leg. That's a plus.
