Our midfield is a joke.

Frank's ability to score goals will never be in question. He'll be 60 and still hit the target with easy. That doesn't mean that makes up for everything else.

I've been saying that since the start of the season. It's blatantly obvious he can't play there.

Willian and Schurrle are the only players who are doing well. Lampard and Mikel as a midfield duo is just appalling.

People go past Lampard like he isn't even there again and again.

I would also like to say Lampard has been anonymous, he should really never play in midfield. There's acres of space in front of our back 4 as Mikel can't cover as he hasn't got the pace of Ramires.

KDB is struggling so far, he must be nervous.

He looked unfit more than anything. I saw him grab his ankle a few times before he got subbed. I wouldn't even have him on the bench tonight, we've got enough quality players in the attacking positions to not have to take any risks.

I like the line up. Hopefully Lampard is playing today because he won't start against Arsenal as he wouldn't even see the ball.

If Guarin coming in means Lampard out of the pivot once and for all, then I'm all for it until we get a real top player in the summer. It's beyond a joke now to have him playing there 3 times a week.

Exactly. I read reports recently that Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in making an offer for him, he's way too talented for the Championship. He's 19, by the time he's 22 I see him being a top player, maybe not for us, but still.

Rest a few, get a win, be in top condition for the Arsenal game.

I see. I think he could be a boss CM/ Box to box player here, maybe that's what Mourinho and the board have in mind.

A fit Romeu is certainly better than what we currently have though.

Oscar and Andre aren't exactly midgets. Both are 6ft tall I think. And I don't think height is really that imperative in the attacking midfield.

He's a great player but did not impress me when we played them in the Champions League. Does Mourinho think he could play CM/ Box to Box, because that's the only way I see him fitting here.

Juan's demeanour doesn't seem quite right this season. Since Mourinho returned he's been mentally shackled and I see him leaving as soon as January. We'll lose a great player, but that is the only thing that's gonna rescue his happiness on the pitch.

Will he though? Mourinho's been under pressure a fair bit recently because of our leaky defence. I wanna see him play, and I'd play him over Cahill, but I can understand why Jose may not be thinking of giving youngsters playing time.

If he was here this season he'd be a nailed on starter next to Ramires. It's music to my ears Mourinho is keen to bring him back and also keen to sign a CM as soon as possible as our midfield is absolutely dire.

Not sure, he played out wide today and owned it. He's a bit like Hazard, but obviously not as technical, but stronger defensively.

Indeed. I think he's gonna be a top player, probably not for us as we are stoked in the attacking positions, but who knows he might force his way into the side in a year or two.

Josh is in a tough spot again, he should be really bossing this league. Look at Kevin, over 10 goals and 10 assists in the Bundesliga and even he can barely get any game time here, imagine someone who's been struggling in the Championship for two seasons.

He's been so unlucky since we signed him. Not much has gone his way really.

He had another good game for Vitesse today, and was unlucky not to bag himself a goal as he hit the post twice. I like him and think he's made for the PL.
