  1. I'm loving this Torres of late. He's the one to watch tomorrow.
  2. 2 assists and a goal with barely any minutes is quite decent, it's also worth a mention that he's been directly involved in quite a few goals besides his assists. I feel the defensive work has been talked about a lot with our players in general as it's the least Mourinho expects from his players, therefore, it you don't do it, or if you don't do it well enough, you pretty much don't play at all.
  3. I see, it's still a very strong squad nonetheless.
  4. Any real substance to this rumour or not? I'd have him here given what I saw of him last season and his current form.
  5. Given that we'll be playing the Newcastle, is there any chance Iva will not start? I know he's been colossal in most games, especially at the back, but as Aspi is also doing fantastic and is better going forward, he could be an extra weapon against what will almost certainly be a parked Geordie bus.
  6. I say that's complete bollocks. Oscar, Willian, Mata and Hazard are very good crossers, but that's not a very valuable skill to have in our system given that Mourinho himself said a few weeks ago that because of the way we play, crossing is almost pointless. Unless we're talking about dead balls where our tall lads pack the box, but then Mata and Lampard tend to be excellent at those.
  7. He really impressed me during pre-season. I can't wait to see him play official games for us. He's a star in the making.
  8. Looking at their squad, I'd have Rafael over Maicon and Filipe Luis of At. Madrid over Maxwell, and any of Fernando of Porto, or Sandro or Fernandinho over Lucas Leiva. I'd also keep an eye on the likes of Coutinho and the lads at Shakhtar as well. But I'm happy Willian is in the squad and hopefully that should get him to perform even better for us.
  9. Were it a KDB thread on a KDB Forum I would get your point, but it's not. The bigger picture here is Chelsea FC, you just ignore the way we've won 6 in a row and 8 out of our last 9 whilst stabbing every other player in the back to make your point about Kevin, which is always the only point you ever make on this forum.
  10. Total football. Soon we'll be playing like a machine, the way we're winning the ball back so quickly is a sight to behold.
  11. I'm counting down the hours already, I think it's gonna be a great game for us.
  12. I think Eto'o has done well so far, he links up well, and has still got pace, but the shirt is Torres'.
  13. You're just paranoid and obsessed. It's sad really. You realise this is a Chelsea forum don't you? You know the team that's won 8 out of the last 9?
  14. Except that's not true. One note or not, my comment pertains to this thread as we look a far more balanced side with players who fit that role, especially on the defensive side of the game.
  15. Whatever helps you sleep better at night Phil...
  16. Mikel has to play, full stop. He's had three top performances in a row now, Schalke, Man City and now Arsenal.
  17. Mark was very commanding and class throughout the match tonight, I still can't believe we managed to sign a keeper of his class and experience to deputise for Cech.
  18. That's what I felt as well, but he didn't do that badly. That should make him mentally stronger once he gets through this bad spell.
  19. In fairness Jose is looking at the bigger picture from the club perspective, what is it, 8 wins from 9 now?
  20. I know that, but it's no secret they want certain players to play over others with the World Cup coming up.
  21. What a way to open his account with our shirt eh lads? We have two great options at right back, I wanna see Cesar playing more.
  22. He's a player now, mature and calm on the ball and very aggressive and objective off it. Great game tonight.
  23. He reminds me of Ronaldinho, his technique is world-class.
