  1. We won 1 league title in the 6 seasons Mourinho was gone for and we essentially became a cup team. Unless we get in Simeone/Klopp I wouldn't be very confident if he left.
  2. Personally I wouldn't mind if Monk and say, Dyer won because I think it'd mean more to them.
  3. Hmm I'm always very skeptical of these stories journalists tell. I don't know why he'd make it up but it does sound improbable.
  4. Why/how would Oscar translate when he can barely speak English himself (Cesc, Jose, Luis, Azpi, Torres, etc. would all do a better job lol), how would they find this out, and why would Costa speak to them 3 in particular rather than the whole team? Sounds like BS.
  5. Same here. I thought of embedding the vine directly in that post because of that but not sure how to.
  6. Moving away from the Mourinho to United talk, I just saw this on twitter: 'Today, tomorrow and forever with Barca in our hearts.'
  7. Jose speaking before the Burnley game: I can't see there being many changes to the starting 11 apart from Luis and maybe Willian coming in.
  8. That's from the Daily Star. Not even worth mentioning.
  9. It all depends on the circumances. If he were to be sacked then I have no doubt he'd be willing to take the United job.
  10. I don’t think I’m exaggerating United’s stature tbh. Is it an overestimation to say that United have more prestige, fans, history (clichéd but true), national and worldwide recognition, and financial prowess? While we are a big club I'm willing to admit we are not on the same level as United, and for managers it is a bigger proposition. Perhaps now that Jose has already managed a club at that 'top, top' level in Real he'd be less inclined to take the United job but to say it is a step down from Chelsea (according to Term anyway) is completely wrong imo.
  11. It seems like you're really understimating the wealth and stature of United. If it were simply a case of money then there's absolutely no chance we'd outdo them (yes Jose gets paid more than van Gaal but if they wanted to make him the highest paid manager in the world they could do it easily); and if you think that United isn't a step up from Chelsea in terms of the magnitude and national/worldwide standing of the club then your Chelsea bias is clouding your better judgement.
  12. Basel and Atletico? The latter was probably our most emphatic loss.
  13. United could and would easily beat us on wages if it was about that particularly as we become more concerned with FFP. If we're honest Madrid to Chelsea is a step down but Chelsea to United wouldn't be. I doubt Mourinho will ever manage them but if he becomes available and they're in a need of a manager I would not be surprised at all to see him take the post.
  14. I don't think Mourinho will go to United but neither do I particularly agree with these points. He's ruthless and egotistical and we love him for that. But that also means if he thought managing United would be the best thing for his career then he would do it regardless of what us Chelsea fans thought (especially if he were sacked). With the last point are you saying United can't compete with us in terms of money?
  15. I'd hope so but I think it will be Matic (DM) Ramires (B2B) and Fabregas which is a weaker midfield imo.
  16. I think we should try a midfield three of Mikel (anchorman) Matic (box-to-box instead of Ramires) and Fabregas.
  17. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/sep/08/cesc-fabregas-chelsea-arsenal Highbury? Cesc doesn't even know where Arsenal play these days
  18. Where've you got the 'All Chelsea's fault' from - a Daily Mail headline? The manager simply said that Salah isn't match-fit because he hasn't played much this season and that was one reason Egypt didn't perform well. Nothing outrageous there.
  19. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2014/09/07/5088771/remy-warns-costa-i-didnt-join-chelsea-to-sit-on-the-bench Original: http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Remy-je-ne-le-dois-qu-a-moi/496726
  20. Further to my post before, the actual quote was "Un texto de félicitation de Mourinho ? Non plus" so he was clearly asked if he had received a congratulatory text from Mourinho. English translations are often misleading. This isn't a big deal though.
  21. He was probably asked that. I doubt he'd just say it randomly.
  22. Could I anglicise and simplify mine to The Chels please? Cheers.
