  1. Jesus fucking Christ. So tell me, how (fixed this bit for you) did you come to the conclusion that I think Coutinho has no work rate?
  2. As good as Falcao is his stats are heavily inflated by penalties. This is quite interesting:
  3. He spends more time rolling around the pitch.
  4. Yes because we're already established as a big club (albeit not to the same extent as the likes of Real). Do you think Roman would have supported this when he'd just taken over? No chance.
  5. Funny you should say that in this thread. Cesc pressed and dispossessed Pogba twice in the first half yesterday but I agree, there's room for improvement.
  6. http://www.sefutbol.com/en/diego-costa-sidelined-due-injury-munir-called
  7. Spain's set up against France was quite similar to ours, in the first-half at least. There was the trio of Azpi, Cesc and Costa. Busquets (Matic) was the holding midfielder and Koke (Oscar) was everywhere keeping things ticking over. On the left wing Cazorla (Hazard) was the 'luxury player' having to track back and few attacks went that way probably because of Azpi. A lot of their attacking play went through their RB (Ivanovic).
  8. I think clubs in La Liga have to put release clauses in. We don't so there's no point.
  9. I think they were just heavily influenced by the crowd.
  10. Do you have a list of the full starting 11 for Brazil?
  11. Suarez best overall striker. Falcao best striker in the box.
  12. Hmm I think Costa has actually been very calm. He got booked for being goaded by Coleman (Costa hardly did anything) and when Howard grabbed him by his neck, he didn't react. If the ref had actually been competent, Coleman would have been booked and Howard would have been sent off.
  13. Drogba doesn't get that much recognition largely because his goalscoring record isn't amazing. The ultimate big-game player though.
  14. Offensively at LB Luis is miles better than Azpi, yes. Defensively but he offers little going forward. How many times is Hazard isolated against 2 markers? Against teams like Swansea at home I don't see why Luis shouldn't play.
  15. What did Courtois do to merit starting over Cech, Costa over Torres? Being better in their respective positions last year is what, and that applies for Luis too.
  16. As good as Klopp is, I think Simeone is the type of manager players are willing to die for so I'd say him. Then again I don't think he speaks English so his motivational abilities would probably be quite limited here lol
  17. Football is never that simple. Swansea are in good form and most of our players will have been away on international duty.
  18. Those are the 'big'-name upcoming English players though. I don't suggest we buy those but I doubt it would be hard to find young English players who could fill the roles of Salah, Zouma, Van Ginkel, etc. even within our own ranks (e.g. Baker).
  19. Personally I don't have a problem with choosing the likes of Courtois over Hart, Fabregas over Henderson. It's only really a problem when there's such little difference in quality. Players like Salah and Zouma could easily be replaced by similarly talented English players.
  20. you do realise Oscar was injured that game and subbed off at half-time because of the pain?
  21. Oscar bashers underestimate his football intelligence.
  22. The momentum is completely with the Yes campaign. I'd be surprised if they didn't win.
  23. But last season we had Luiz in the midfield who was more than capable of holding his own. However if we play Cesc, which it seems Jose will, then Oscar becomes much more valuable as from what we've seen so far they complement each other very well. Whilst Ramires may be more important in the counter-attacking system against big teams because of his physical attributes, Oscar offers a lot more technically and tactically. I do think Jose will still opt for Ramires and Willian though.
