I'm only half serious, but with the current results going our way and the schedule ahead and obviously our current form. I feel depending on our rivals(Leicester) to slip up is a safer bet.
-
I dont even think it's far fetched to say we don't need to do anything to get a UCL place at this point.
-
I don't think he's Chelsea quality, but he could've had a role as a rotation option. We spent 35m on Drinkwater while we could've just recalled him for free. Let that sink in.

The overload of crosses in the box is starting to get annoying. Need to be a bit less predictable.
-
I think Frank didn't want to leave both Mount and Willian out of the side. Need at least one of them to be able to retain the ball in the opponent's half and provide some defensive shift. Otherwise agreed. Really hoping we can get this done early and rest some of the players.

I'll try and make it as simple as possible. Frank and other people including myself don't fancy Jorginho because he's a defensive liability playing infront of the defense and doesn't create enough to compensate for his shortcomings. On top of that, he can only play in that one position which makes him a very limited player in fuction and output. Fabregas was just as bad but he created chances at will.

Yeah, can't exclude them having a good run and getting 4 points which is IMO the best they can get out of these games. Pereira in particular was a big loss for them. He was their best player at interplay, none of their other wingers(I know he's a FB) in the squad can compensate for what he brings. And now they lost their best defender as well.

That's right, I don't know for how long though. I've included that in their "bad form" factor. Also add Soyuncu being suspended until the end of the season.

I think Leicester will get 1 point or none from their remaining 3 games. Their current form is that bad.

From an outside perspective, I think most would say we are far from bottlers. But we've certainly not been great either in important matches these last couple of years or so. Strictly speaking about this season, I think we're suffering from the youth and inexperience of both our players and manager. You can feel the lack of leadership in the team when our backs are against the wall, but also Frank's system makes it so that there isn't a big margin for errors. We will come up on top of most games because our talent edges it, but sometimes when we're not up for it and the opposing team has the weapons to hurt us we will get trashed like we did at Sheffield. We need to be real here, we're far from title challengers. Our expectations definitely need to be lower until the team improves in quality and experience.
-
So much negativity in here especially with our opponent's results. You all need to relax a bit. This team was never really consistent throughout the season and it was rare for us to win 2 games in a row in the PL. The Sheffield result shouldn't have come as a shock for anyone here. As for next game, Norwich does not have a physical team compared to the standards of the league and play an open type of football which suit us. Kovacic should be back and the players will look to make up for last game's loss. Have a bit more faith.

Onana is a superb goalkeeper. Good positioning, strong hands, moves well and an absolute monster when when coming off the line. Obviously he isn't without flaws as he's a bit suspect when handling the ball and a few other things but he's a top club quality keeper.

I watch a lot of french football and having seen him quite a lot at OM, he was average. Hardworking but nothing special. I don't know if his move to Sevilla had a big impact on him or if he just stagnated at Monaco/Marseille but it's certainly surprising to see him doing so well in La Liga.

I'll gladly eat this humble pie.
-
With Ake off, this is going to get ugly.
-
To think we actually dropped points to this Bournemouth...
-
I see Solanke in Bournemouth's starting lineup and suddenly I'm feeling less confident now.
-
If a deal for Kai fails to be completed because of our failure to get UCL football next season or for whatever other reason, maybe have a look at his teammate. Edmond Tapsoba.
-
I understand you all need a scapegoat but the Abraham abuse is over the top. 14 goals(so far) excluding penalties in his first season for us at 22 and some of you think he's not even PL material.. If it isn't overreacting I don't know what is. Yes he's going through a rough patch but that's part of the process, we knew we weren't getting the finished product yet. Few years back we dreamed of having academy graduates make it into the first team and everyone moaned about the lack of opportunities given but now that we're there no one is willing to be patient or understanding. Same thing with Mount, James, CHO and even little Gilmour. Young players are inconsistent, it's even more true when it comes to target man type of strikers who only start to show the best of their abilities in the latter part of their careers. And Tammy has already shown he's capable of being much more than just a target man. I don't know why our fanbase is so harsh towards young players, wether it's the pressure to win, the recent culture of only buying ready made players or something else entirely. But if we want to make full use of our superb youth academy, or develop the young talents we buy from elsewhere and not have a repeat of KDB/Salah/Lukaku etc.. Maybe everyone needs to show a bit more patience.

Something that isn't talked about enough IMO is the lack of rotation in the team. The likes of Willian, Azpi and Mount look absolutely exhausted. Kante being overplayed whenever he is available as well.
-
Jorginho comes back and we're suddenly clueless in possession...
-
We'll get the confirmation monday but from today's news it's better to assume 5th place is no longer a UCL qualification spot.
-
Pep was confident about it in his press conference today and that Ian Cheeseman fella was probably briefed by City. Unfortunately it's looking likely that they will be exonerated.
-
Oh Great news if true. Still it's unlikely that he plays in front of the defense so it will probably be Jorginho Kova/Barkley and Mount.
