Cavani makes no sense. We already have our Lukaku replacement in Drogba and we can't afford Cavani for different reasons. He would be unhappy because there is only room for 1 striker at a time here which is exactly the same problem he has at PSG and while his situation there can only improve (Zlatan getting old), he will most certainly have to share with Costa. 442 is not an option because first the manager doesn't fancy it and second even if he wanted to he has too many AMs and CMs at his disposal to dare and try it regularly as a lot more players would become unhappy. 4231 and 433 is the way to go. There will always be favoritism when it comes to top players, and I doubt any other key player from another national team would have been subbed today regardless of their performances. As for me, I don't think he was awful, the way the team was playing and his current role in it made him look that way. After being subbed, his team was unable to create anything that was not long passes.
