The people he was fighting with are no better than him. Skrtel looks like a wrestler on the pitch.

There is no way this guy is human.Everytime I thought he was done, he kept running.

Shit got real now.

Im starting to think we lost on purpose. From 2-0 to 2-3 at the bridge to bradford is worse than 3-5 at WHL.
-
There is no live video coverage of the game anywhere in the world. Only radio. This is ridiculous, we're top of the BPL and still can't get broadcasted for the second time in a row.

I'm not saying we don't need a RW. I even said on another thread that I would pick Reus over Pogba if I had the choice. However what I'm not in for is wasting money on a marginal upgrade when Willian is doing is a monstruous defensive work. We should only be buying if the right player is available otherwise we're not going to make any considerable progress. I was an advocate of the Costa transfer at the time. His price tag was reasonable for a player of his quality and the only other striker we had was Torres. different situation IMO.
-
James overrated? He's a fantastic little player. I get the feeling people judge him based on his price tag, which is nonsense. players don't choose their price. If he had as much freedom as in his NT or back in Monaco/Porto days, people would look at him differentely I imagine. On topic, André looked fit in the swansea game. I hope he recovered from the illness, looking forward to the Bradford game.

Are we just trying to buy him to replace Salah? We could easily promote a young player to play the benchwarmer role. RW is not even our absolute priority , that would be a CB. I'd understand if we overpaid for a quality defender even cup-tied but this I can't.. I hope this deal never goes through.

I haven't seen as much from him as I would like so I might not be completely accurate, but from memory and reports online he doesn't look like a big upgrade on Willian. Very overpriced for a player of his caliber. I understand that Fiorentina paid huge money for him (about 20m) and he made himself a reputation both in national team and the italian league but in times of FFP we have to be spending money wisely. More likely than not, he will be our only signing in the AM department if it happens. I like about him that he's very versatile, that will come in handy for tactical changes and unfortunate circumstances. He's very explosive compared to the brazilian and has a better shoot in him. but he's very sloppy in terms of tactical awareness and his decision making can be very shocking (deja vu?). Willian in terms of defensive contribution is miles ahead of him and he can secure his flank almost as much as a Ramires would. Also I'm not believing in this Schurrle exit rumors tbh. Jose and even the player admitted he was extremelly sick and refused to comment further. He was dropped at half time more often than one would expect Jose to do. He generally likes to give his players more time in the second half before he subs them out, not to mention his sudden dip in form is quite unordinary. I still think he will play a huge role for us when he will be fully back fit.

Liverpool plays a 3-5-2. They've constantly dominated their opponents in the midfield in recent games. Jose started with a more stable midfield in Matic-Mikel in attempt to close space between the lines. Cesc in the pivot would have been very naive.
-
He was soo good playing the striker role for them today. Much better than what I saw from him as a winger. He makes runs for them to pick up a pass unlike their other strikers (Balo,Lambert,Borini) and his technical ability allow him to retain the ball. He's definitely their best option at the moment.
-
That's extremely harsh. He pressed all game, dropped back to support the midfield and secure the ball when we intercept it. He had very few balls to play with and he did the best he could with minimum support. he made the pass to Eden for the pen too. I dont think Oscar could have done better today.

Scoring a goal gave a moral boost to our players, and drained Liverpool for the remaining of the first half but we were completely open in the second. We couldn't keep up with their fast paced game once they hit it off. Simply, our backline is too slow to stop them. the defense and the midfield don't have the physicality and speed to keep chasing their players in our own half.Their goal was very well taken, but my god Cahill never ceases to disapoint me. I think Ramires could have been very useful today. A draw is probably a fair result given our horrible second half, also our intentions were clear we can't lose this game. Not too frustrated because we scored a goal and we still have to play the second leg at home.

He doesn't have the vista nor the football intelligence to spot the right pass when he gets the ball. He retains it at his feet waiting for someone to ask for a pass or tries to outspeed a defender and then randomly cross the ball. Normally, any good footballer knows what to do with the ball before he receives it. That's obviously not the case with Willian.

I said in another thread (Oscar iirc) where Goals+Assists stats about our players were posted that Eden's stats would look soo much better if they included the pass before the assist. Unfortunately, in football they are generally overlooked and difficult to find. Thanks for posting them. It's indeed not surprising at all. Our main gameplan going forward is playing small combinations between the players to create space and eventually create a chance. It's better suited to our players profiles and specifically Eden whose biggest asset other than his dribbles are his quick passes/derivations. He's the catalyst of our attacks. A lot of people are praising Cesc for bringing more creativity into our team, and that's very far from being wrong. but a lot more people are forgetting to credit Eden also. Now that he has one more player with good technical ability to play with, he can express himself better. the blatant example of it is the goal against crystal palace. Mainly, Eden fails to have good stats because; he's not a good finisher infront of the goal or prefers to pass rather than shoot when he has another teamate. his movement and runs are not there yet but to be fair his partner dont always provide him with the best passes. He is an insane dribbler, he always create space for the others but his final passes are often missplaced/too strong or he simply made one unecessary dribble. I think he really needs to work on this last aspect of his game if he wants to be more decisive. It's nice to dribble but there has to be something at the end of it. You often see him cut inside from the left, dribble past 1 or 2 players then fail to deliver that last pass. PS: sorry for the off-topic, I'll happily continue in the Hazard's thread if needed.

Arsenal really arent a counter attacking team.. City players not into the game.
-
This thread is a bit too active for a player we are hardly linked with, also he just recentely renewed his contract which suggests he is commited to Juventus for at least until Summer 2016. or is it because he is a huge fan of chelsea in FM lol.

Jose during the press conference today: "Well done," he said." "He is a good player and a good striker. "If they have the money and can spend the money and have no problems with Financial Fair Play, well done. "They can only play with 11 though, unless the rules are different and they can play with 12. The rules are different for them in some areas, but not this one. "If Bony plays and [Edin] Dzeko is on the bench then I am happy with that. "But to have [sergio] Aguero, [stevan] Jovetic, Bony and Dzeko is magnificent. Asked what he meant by different rules applying to City, Mourinho responded: "You know what I mean." Other than the dig at City and FFP, he once again praises Dzeko after suggesting he should have been named BPL player of the year last season.Go ahead Jose, make a bid for Dzeko, I know you want to.

That's exactly why I said that excluding the price tag makes it tougher. I agree with you however, I think that the RW position is more of a priority at the moment. If needed, we can move Fabregas higher on the pitch and play Mikel to partner Matic. people on here probably won't agree but John obi can do a fine job protecting the back 4. Jose already did this, and probably will again in the champions league. This current set of AMs don't give us much options offensively. Schurrle is in a terrible form/illness, Ramires is basically Willian and Salah is well.. Salah. It's also worth asking if Cesc would be allowed more freedom than Oscar is, because I don't think he can handle doing the harassing work for too long.
-
The tag price on Reus makes it too obvious. Quality players like him are worth at least double that amount in today's market. If your question was who would you rather sign regardless of the asking price, it would be much tougher.
-
They are pretty much guaranteed to have a scoring striker in every game.

The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international has signed a four-and-a-half year deal which will keep him at Eastlands until the end of the 2018/19 season. The fee is believed an initial down payment of £25million to Swansea City, which could rise to £28million depending on add-ons. He will wear the number 14 shirt. It's official now. Apparentely, swansea was not too happy that the ivorian federation announced it too soon but City have also confirmed it so it's done. Terrific signing for them.
-
It would be very interesting to see those stats including the passes before the assists. I imagine Eden's stats would look better, that and if he played in the center obviously.
-
Nasri is so underrated. His calm and decision making in the final third are exactly what we want in our AMs.

City drop points and we benefit from it. Feels like an eternity since this happened. Good day.
