  1. The Pool were at home too !! I just think making radical changes could lead to complacency. But if we're 3-0 at half time then I'd be happy enough to bring on the young uns
  2. Swansea are a "shit" team and they turned Liverpool over at home today
  3. Lets just play our strongest squad as we have done all season. This talk of resting players doesn't make any sense to me. We are only in two competitions and until someone gets injured we should play our best team every time. With only one game a week our players shouldn't be tired or rested. When the league is won we will be able to try out fringe players. If the fringe players are good enough now Conte will play them now, that's the type of manager he is. I firmly believe in our manager and it's a while since I thought that about any manager
  4. We are Chelsea and we don't downgrade. We have the ability and global reputation to attract much better forwards than Lukaku
  5. I read on here a lot of people lambasting Matic, Willian and Hazard and really I think its a bit over the top. I know we all expect perfection but overall this was a "perfect" team performance in my view. Matic, while poor in the first half, still played well overall, closing down and breaking up the play. Willian was also poor first half but was a different player in the second half claiming an assist for Pedro's goal. But Hazard was playing the centre forward role albeit a false nine, but this is not his position. I thought he played very well pulling defenders all over the place and he got an assist for Alonso too with a very deft touch. This was very much a TEAM performance with everyone playing for and backing up each other. Leicester, who savaged Man City some weeks ago were made to look a very average side and were totally outplayed for the full 90 minutes. Vardy hardly got a sniff today, and this was all down to the hard work of the whole Chelsea team today. So lets not hammer our own players so easily in future. They are human, make mistakes, but by God they worked their socks off today and got the result we needed under very tough circumstances. Well done Chelsea.....I was proud of each and every one of you today.
  6. I agree up to a point. Yes sell him and make money. But on the other hand, these guys sign binding contracts when they think they have negotiated a good deal for maybe 3 or 4 years. But then when a better offer comes in they just expect their contract to be torn up. Kinda makes contracts a waste of paper. If you sign it stick to it, that's my opinion
  7. I am really pissed off at the timing of this. We lose to the Spuds and really need a good result tomorrow to get us back on track. But now Costa throws his toys out of the pram. We will now see how strong a manager Conte is, and how he overcomes this problem.Costa says he has lower back pain and the Chelsea physio's say he hasn't !! What the fuck is going on there. If he has lower back problems he shouldn't go to China, because carrying 30 million around in your arse pocket will be a huge strain on his back !! If he wants to go to China for the money then Fuck him, let him go the greedy fucker. He earns 150 grand a week with Chelsea. Thats enough to run a small country!!!!!!! He lacks ambition if he is heading east. No Premier leagues, No Champions cup and no loyalty required either because there's no history for these Chinese teams. Christ I'm on a RANT and fucking pissed off with this situation. We have a great chance to win the premiership and what happens ? We fucking implode!! Fuck, fuck, fuck. Diego, if I got my hands on you I beat 12 grades of shite out of you. Show some loyalty man and honour your contract......Or rot on the sidelines for the rest of it!! Rant over.................For now !!!
  8. Leicester are a long ball side. As long as we nullify the long ball to Vardy they will be toothless. Their football has been found out this season and now we have Kante their midfield is poor enough. We should win this, but it still wont be an easy game. 3 points here for us will really put the pressure on the chasers on Sunday. Com'n Chelsea, lets kick on and get back to winning ways
  9. I would really love to see us win this trophy. I started supporting in 1970 and the final against Leeds was an epic battle. Granted, the FA cup has lost some of it's magic, but it's a trophy and one well worth winning in my opinion. Com'n you blues.... Wembley awaits us
  10. We lost tonight to a very good Spurs side and there is no disgrace in that. Fuck sake we have just won 13 in a bloody row, Would any of us expected that at the start of the season?? Spurs are the best team we have played this season and I think we will learn from this. We have not become a bad team after one defeat. we didn't play well tonight, but we were not allowed to play, and that's gonna happen from time to time. Now we just need to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves down and get back to our winning ways, and I have confidence we will do just that.
  11. 12 wins in a row. Only 2 goals conceded. No Costa or Cante ans no recognized centre forward. Well all I can say is this IN CONTE WE TRUST The man has really turned us around. I am going to put a bet on us to win the Champions League next season
  12. This was a superb win today against a dogged Palace side. Costa doesn't get a sniff for most of the game but one chance and one goal. Fucking awesome !!!!!!! Benteke was in Dave's pocket all day long and Townsend should be playing American Football as a kicker!!! I have to say I am bloody loving this under Conte. His touchline antics are infectious and he really has transformed our fortunes. And more importantly, his post match press conferences reflect more positively on our club. Too long have we been a top side and been hated and disrespected. He has not only turned the team fortunes around, but the club doesn't draw heat from his comments or actions, like Jose did. A truly inspired appointment in my opinion.Long may he reign and long may it continue.
  13. Our guys wanted it more than City and our fitness spoke volumes in the last 29 minutes.Hazard, William and Costa left their defence in their wake every time they ran at them. A fully deserved victory for the "never give up attitude" our guys showed. Oh and Kevin De Bruyne..........Still one of us.......Superb miss from 4 yards to finish the game for them
  14. Kante is in my very humble opinion the nearest thing we have had to replacing Makalele, but with a bit of forward play thrown in. Looked awesome against Burnley and must have covered every blade of grass twice!! And when he tackles you, you know you've been tackled. A very astute purchase.
  15. so far in this tournament I have been more and more impressed with Conte. He has brought what is thought to be the worst Italian team in years to the quarter finals and has gotten his tactics spot on each game. He has demolished both Belgium and Spain without conceding a goal and has instilled a strong bond within the side. So far they look very good. If he can instill confidence and get our lads to believe in themselves again, and employ suitable tactics I think we will do well next season. One thing is definite. We wont be rolled over as easily as we were last time, because if I played for him and lost, I'd be scared stiff to go into the dressing room. Can you imagine the bollocking you'd get !!! Alex Ferguson's boot kick at Beckham wouldn't come close to what he'd do to you!!
  16. Just reading the last page or on this thread ( it has most likely been highlighted earlier) but I think you are all missing the elephant in the room........We've no strikers!!!!! Costa is not going to play all the games. Pato and Falcao are gone and Remy is packing his bags too.If we are going to play the way Conte likes, we will need at least two more strikers and there's no real sign of any creditable rumours of strikers looking to join us. Worrying to say the least.
  17. Seems to me like we have really dropped our standards if we sign Benteke. He's a big guy who could score a lot of goals in the right team, but I just don't see this guy leading our line as we compete for a Premiership or European title. A mid table team would be perfect for him..................Oh wait!!!!!!!!!! Shit, we are a mid table team
  18. Thank God that season is over. But in reality, we have been spoiled over the past 10 years or so with top 4 finishes nearly every season.. At least now we have an insight into how the likes of Everton feel every year, with nothing to look forward to either. At least we have a fairly good chance of challenging again next year, but for teams like Everton 10th position would seem like a fantastic season.
  19. Considering I thought we'd be battered before the game started, I was pleasantly surprised by our performance (except Begovic). But in all honesty Liverpools minds were on next weeks final. It just looked like a stroll in the park for both sides, but we did show up a lot better than they did. Hazard was supreme, which begs me to ask "Where the fuck were you all season?" If Courtois leaves then Begovic is nowhere near good enough, schoolboy error from a so-called world class keeper. Traore showed some very neat touches and played well. Mikel wasn't tested at all, otherwise we could have been overrun. His first tackle kicked one of them up in the air just outside our box. But when they equalized I kinda half expected it. It's been that sort of season. Hopefully things can only get better but Conte has no magic wand and we are not guaranteed to be challenging next season, so I will wait with guarded optimism for the start of nest season. With a few shrewd purchases, a positive approach and 100% effort from the players we should be up there. But then again, I thought that about this season too!!!!!!
  20. I fear our dodgy defence will be seriously exposed against pool. Ivanovich will be ripped to shreds if he plays out wide, better suited as a DC, but a mediocre one at that, Aspi, for all his effort still always has a slip-up in him this season. He seems to fall asleep and gets caught out. Cahill, without Terry is bang average at best. And who will fill the last position? Mikel (Oh God, please noooo!!) or our young Yank import. This lot don't fill me with confidence. And Baba ain't no worldie either. Just don't see him as a long term prospect at full back. Even if we score 2 I can see them score 3. Get this season over ASAP please...I can't take any more pain!!
  21. It wont happen, but I would like Norwich to stay up. It's a nailed on three points there every season. But when we go up North it's a different story. We struggle against both Sunderland and Newcastle. Plus they are supposedly big clubs who have failed to realise their potential season after season. With the size of their clubs and their large fan bases they should be challenging for Europe every year, but they are always lurking in the bottom 6 clubs or thereabouts. Get shot of them both. At least Norwich gave it a decent go.and are only really getting sucked down in the last few weeks. Dont really care if we win or lose on Saturday. Just play some of the young guns.
  22. Hazard scores the goal that wins the title for the second season in a row !! Delighted for Ranieri, a true gentleman who was hard done by at the Bridge. He was just there at the wrong time. And I am soooooo happy for the Spurs.....Hateful shower of knuckle draggers. We give them a 2-0 lead and they still bottle it Their club must be fined over their thuggish behaviour tonight. If it were us we'd be roasted by everybody.
