I would love if that happened and recovery time was an issue for City. But Pep has a squad with players that can step in seamlessly as he has really 2 first teams that could win the premiership. World class back up players for every position. Whereas at present we dont even have one good first eleven. So I can see us getting spanked because we are bang average in a lot of positions. Our defence always seem to make at least one crucial mistake in every match and we are punished. Defensive Midfield is a problem, if Kante wasn't there God help us. Up front Morata seems more intent in hitting the ground than hitting the net, and Giroud, although he has done ok to say the least will not lead us to glory. Hazard coming off against Utd was a massive mistake in my opinion, and Conte was niave to think we could hold the draw. We attacked in the first half and totally switched off for the second. Morale is low and this result against City could be the death knell for Conte. Sunday will be a tough watch I fear

Oh I do start off enjoying watching them, but when you see a team with the potential and pedigree we have, failing to perform to an acceptable level, then it becomes very frustrating to watch. Please dont tell me that following both the Bournemouth and Watford games that you said to yourself "Yea, I really enjoyed that". I will say that years ago, when we only had a half decent side I used to always enjoy it because we were not one of the "big" teams. But now I expect more and it is not enjoyable when you see the way we are currently playing,and you can usually tell after the first 10 minutes or so if our guys are up for it. But I agree with you to a point, and that is, Yes I love watching Chelsea and have done for 42 years, but only when they give their all on the pitch for the club.

I kinda remember a time when I actually enjoyed watching Chelsea play, and had complete faith in them getting a win. But now when I watch them it like being tied to an electric chair. Its not comfortable,you keep getting nasty shocks and there's the feeling that it's not going to end very well

I said yesterday that if we play those donkeys Cahil and Bakayoko, and employ the false nine again I wouldn't watch this. Well I relented and boy am I sorry. Bakayoko is just utter crap. we might play better without him. Take Cahill off and bring on Giroud. If we dont shoot we cant score,and we havent had a shot on target yet. Pure shite. I thought Conte was a better manager than this. If Giroud doesn't come on at the start of the second half he deserves the sack

Totally agree. Cahill nowhere near is best (and his best wasn't great anyway!!) Bakayoko has been an absolute disaster. Cant pass, too slow and so easily pushed off the ball he reminds me of Bambi. Hate the "false nine" as at present we dont have the players to carry this role and, to me, it's giving way too much respect to the opposition. A lot of players need to start stepping up or get out. Barkley will need to show what he is capable of quickly, I think Drinkwater is totally out of his depth, Pedro gone off the boil and Morata is most definitely having a confidence crisis. Giroud needs to start against Watford, even on one leg it would be better than the false nine. If Conte starts Cahill and Bakayoko I think that it might be that he really wants to get the sack

Why why why does Conte persevere with that donkey Bakayoko. The guy is clearly not capable of playing Premiership football at present. Too slow, sloppy passing and was eased off the ball way to easily for the second goal. Offers the team absolutely nothing, either defensively or attacking.. We cant afford passengers on the team and he clearly is one.

I hope Conte has worked on how our guys handle being pressed high up the pitch. Every time we are pressed high we cant play ourfootball. City done it to us and we looked an average outfit. Alonso needs o be awake from the start and I'd play Aspi on the right. Please God that Kante is fit, because if he's not we're fucked. I'd pair Drinkwater with him and leave Bakayoko on the bench as he's too slow, gets caught way too often on the ball and gives some very wayward passes. Back three of Rudiger, Luiz and Christensen, up front Pedro, Hazard and I suppose Morata, but he's gone way off the boil. We need to chase down this United side and not let them chase us and dictate the play or we're in deep shit. Also Cabilerro played very well against Everton and Courtois is certainly not setting the Premiership alight this season. Our guys need a kick in the arse to wake them up.
