  1. You're obsession for certain players is sickening, almost to a certain biased mentality. For a man who feels Thiago has a greater range of passing and contain Leadership qualities to a higher level of Cesc Fabregas in all reality doesn't contain a whole lot of credibility. Messi's overall game from his vision and involvement of play that makes the team work better as a unit is ever so blatant, which is recognizable by his 4 consecutive Ballon D'ors and his handful of records that probably won't ever be broken in our lifetime. Messi also made an interview on canal plus stating that Batistuta was the greatest striker he's ever seen, but you didn't bring that up because I assume that doesn't fit you're agenda? Or what about when Ronaldinho stating that Messi is the best player he's played with and will forever go down as the greatest?
  2. Another reason why comparing players of different generations is sheer unjustifiable. The game is constantly changing. Messi's overall game is better than Ronaldo's hence his higher prestige.
  3. Yet Messi has made the likes of Cannavaro, Puyol, Lucio, Lugano, and Carvalho look like Sunday league defenders.
  4. Morocco's potential national side is quality -----El Hadaddi--Bakkali-------- --------------Mastour--------------- Afellay-----------------------Chadli ----Belhanda-----Fellaini----- ---Rami-----Benatia--Kaboul--- ---------------Amsif----------------
  5. You were born a street rat, you'll die a street rat, and only the flees will mourn you greatest insult ever
  6. Athletic Bilbao have the best fans in the world.
  7. Being forced to play wide to accommodate Lampard in his natural attacking midfielder role also didn't help. Owen Hargreves as well had everything to be a great.
  8. You do realise that Jose wanted Lampard at both Inter and Madrid as well right? The sheer under rating of Lampard, especially during his prime (2005-2007) is absolutely astonishing, it truly is. Lampard could tackle, pick a pass out of nothing, finish from practically anywhere, and was the ideal box to box midfield of the premier league era. And even with the unstability of managers, he was the only player to maintain that kind of consistency. And mind you, Jose's initial interest was before the whole Lampard and Gerrard pairing for the national team couldn't work as neither complemented one another, it was merely a concept back then. Mata was POTY because we formed the team around him, to suit his strengths, whereas with Lampard, he accommodated to his role manager after manager still bringing out class.
  9. Puyol started his career at RB as well.
  10. Complete and utter bollocks. We are talking about a season where we won the title and Liverpool won the European Crown, and Gerrard didn't put his tranfer request until the summer of 2005. A year where Lampard was at his prime and came second running in the Ballon D'or nomination whereas Gerrard wasn't anywhere near the form Frank was in that year. By no means does that suggest Lampard would have secured his spot, but to openly state that Gerrard would replace a player who was in the prime of his game is mental. Jose has always showed aspiration for Frank, it was ever so likely if we got a hold of Gerrard that summer, Essien would have never been purchased. ---------------Drogba-------------- Robben-----------------------Cole --------Lampard--Gerrard------- --------------Makelele-------------
  11. They have Gabi and Mario Suarez to fill that Pivot not to mention Koke and Romeu are completely different players.
  12. 2010-2011 team was better imo. Messi was just a goal scoring freak in 2012 but as a team, 2011 for me.
  13. Hard to compare players of different generations, but in terms of ability and talent, yes.
  14. My list only went up to 17 to accommodate Sanchez.
  15. In the end, Ill stick to remembering the good things and memories we've shared with him.
  16. Shearer was a monster in every sense, didn't see much of Lineker. Truth be told, the late 80's and 90's generation of English players absolutely shits all over this current one.
  17. Forgot Georgie Best. He'd be between C.Ronaldo and Van Basten.
  18. In regards to attacking players, I would Maradona DiStefano Messi Romario Garrincha Pele Ronaldo Gerd Muller Eusebio Puskas Cryuff C.Ronaldo George Best Van Basten Bastistuta Meazza Sanchez
  19. Quite odd because their 5-0 spanking against Real Madrid comes in mind, possibly the best team performance I've ever seen. And tbf, the first half Barca did play some brilliant one touch football and only themselves to blame for not finishing their chances.
  20. I've said this previously, England's best bet is to form a team around Sterling and Barkley
  21. They haven't a sniff on our 2005 winning team or United's 99' treble winners imo.
  22. Can't forget this performance he displayed against a Legendary Milan side that were reigning European champions. First English team to beat Milan at the San Siro as well. But you know, Cesc doesn't perform against quality sides...
