Form goes out of the window in a CL tie. Same like last year. Play to win, grab that away goal no matter what.

In what circumstances would you choose to miss a Chelsea game?

Oscar was so woeful. I've defended him quite a lot, but yesterday's performance was really bad. Great to see Willian stepping up. More of that, and we can phase Cuadrado in with ease.

who's the unlucky one this season? That person should gratefully ignore PSG. okay thanks. <3

I haven't been active lately due to my personal schedule, but damn. What a brilliant tactical performance. Hope he keeps improving.

Mourinho on his atmosphere comments: "It is because this is not just for me a job. It is more than that, because it's Chelsea. " Its about time someone riled people up so that they look into a situation such as this seriously.

He did not name Willian. He only commended his work-rate.

Watch Ramires come back against QPR and score 27 goals...
-
So no Rio against Costa either. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29826136 QPR defender Rio Ferdinand has been suspended for three matches and fined £25,000 by the Football Association for comments he made on Twitter.

Will be tough, but should be easier than Shrewsbury,

Thank you for summing up my thoughts. People expect him to play as a natural #10, and its getting tiring. Like for pete's sake open your eyes, he isn't meant to play like that. You also just don't give a player the number 8 if you're planning to sell him.
-
neither can Ozil. He has been lazy ever since he has moved to Arsenal. Even got subbed before half time when at Madrid. He is not a player built to do that. Di Maria is. Ozil can attack, he can't defend. Khedira's role was to only defend. On paper he shouldn't be a number 10 because Chelsea doesn't facilitate the use of a number 10. Jose uses Oscar to pin opposition back, drop deep so that Fabregas can go forward, and holds the midfield line just before Matic has to come into play. If anything, Fabregas plays more like a #10 with less defensive duties. If he can't play as a #10, he wouldn't be playing quite well with Brazil. Don't even know how you came to the conclusion of undisputed #1's and removed Oscar from it. We don't need to improve in the #10 position because we negated the role of DLP and #10 using one stone, i.e. by playing Fabregas as a part of the midfield trivium. The only space left is to have a holding midfielder along with a more defensive minded one. Oscar and Matic fill it in. Watch how he and Nemanja go untouched.
-
Sure you didn't. Yes, and Chelsea does use a number 10 right? Clearly why we need Fabregas to rotate with him... "Oscar, in this moment, is not a number 10," the Blues boss said. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9524354/premier-league-mourinho-praises-oscars-evolution

Nah man, I get the part that he quoted. Baker was part of the teamsheet yes? Obviously qualification was more important, so it's understandable that he wasn't subbed in. I would be pretty disappointed if Drogba started when Solanke didn't play for the U-21's. Maybe he was tired? We could cut him some slack. We've seen Ake get a few games, and Christensen get a full debut.
-
You just said that Oscar can't defend and that Chelsea uses a #10. I'm sorry, I'll just go.
-
Ozil can't defend to save his life. Sorry but I'll have to disagree. Di Maria worked his socks off, Ozil was criticised for his lazinees. Poor guy struggled to complete 90 minutes due to fitness issues. His role in the Real team was a #10. Oscar's isn't.
-
I'm not really sure, but didn't Solanke play for the U-21's a day or so back? Atleast I was told so. If so, I'm pretty sure that was the reason behind not starting him. If we could start Christensen, Solanke could have started too.
-
Woah. Been so out of touch with football now. Did Christensen play as well?
-
Hopefully Brown then. What's up with dropping Solanke? Do the U-21's need him?
-
Ake has to start. Salah, Zouma and Cech too. Hopefully Solanke and Baker get a few minutes.

Not been around a lot here, but I'm pretty sure that there is a bit of negativity around here as usual. The red card cost us, not the part where we decided to defend our way out of the game after going a goal up. If Ivanovic stayed, we would never have had to reorganize. That's the problem with modern zonal and man marking. If we stuck to the theoretical man-marking, we could easily have replaced Iva's cover with a specific player. That does not happen in today's scenario, and that cost us. Lack of time to re-organize and the amount of built up tension. It's understandable to go out and score another goal, but psychologically, United always wanted to win this more than us. We just can't help that. They played pretty good and it shows that they've been been playing without heart for quite a long time. Hopefully this win gives them the confidence to go on and beat City. Once again if that silly red card didn't occur, RVP wouldn't be banging in that goal.

I see where you're coming from. There is absolutely no way Azpi will end up as CB, in the EPL, and under Mourinho's current system. I don't know what the history of the topic is, but that just won't work out in today's EPL. He might be able to do that in a more technical league though. Like you said La Liga, throw Ligue 1 in the mix too.

26 Blue obvious. Not a car guy, so had to google Prius, but I'll go with Prius. Mind-reading would cause bucket loads of insecurity tbh. I'll go with invisibility, could be really useful. Batman. Overload of sarcasm probably. Jumping off a plane. Atleast you get a longer adrenaline rush before you die. Ne-Yo's Let Go. The chorus part. Don't really have a great one. But one that has bothered me quite a lot since a year is this - Not the complaining for a penalty, but misjudging your kick and kicking the floor due to poor leg-eye coordination.I don't know how many of you have had this happen to you, but it's legit the most painful thing that has ever happened to any part of me. It happened to me during a tournament last year, and it's still in the back of my mind every-time I take a shot. Favorite club besides Chelsea would probably be Watford. I've got a soft spot for them. Also Al Ahli, local club in Qatar, the stadium is a 5 minute walk from my place. Favorite player currently would probably be Vincent Kompany. I coach quite a lot of defending, and some part of him mesmerizes me. The best of him is yet to come, including consistency.
