  1. 4 successful tackles, Matic had 5, considering how badly we were being gunned down with Hazard isolated and Schurrle not exactly making runs that could be picked out. Fabregas didn't make one successfully . He'll obviously be more assertive as the season progresses on though. That will eventually happen. Schurrle was pretty wasteful in front of goal. In situations where we could have kept the ball flowing. Hazard didn't feel like coming in centrally too much too, that probably hurt us more as both Cesc and Oscar didn't have much to keep the ball rotate around. Azpi looked a bit nervous too at the start, which I think is mostly cause Leicester know to push him on to his weaker foot. Edit : Not to mention Fabregas made 13 backward passes.
  2. A very good sub to bring on when the opposition are tired. I see him win many games coming off the bench like that.
  3. Same lineup as yesterday. Willian for Schurrle.
  4. Easy not to forget how bad he was, but its easy to forget how good he was in the second. Also was easy to forget how 10 other players were bad in the first half...
  5. Writing a 10 page long post on 11 players is going to be hard.
  6. If Oscar was bad, then Matic was bad. Fabregas was poor. Schurrle was atrocious. Torres is better at hold up play than Costa. Azpilicueta can't mark a winger from a club that will probably be relegated.
  7. Apologies. Adrenaline rush. Iva and Courtois are up there for me.
  8. Really hope the injury isn't bad. Put him in instead of Schurrle. Would directly help us against their wingers that excel 1v1.
  9. Weaklink made a pass that lead to the goal.
  10. The whole team has been pathetic. We've found our new scapegoat now that Torres won't make it into the team-sheet.
  11. Like I said in the previous post, people were talking about inconsistency. That's where I drew the comparison. I did not compare anything else. They don't have to be of the same class. I'm inconsistent when I play for my team, just like Nani is. One day I have a blinder, the next day the team would have played better without me. It was one attribute, their level is another.
  12. I didn't compare consistency and attitude. They were two different statements. I'll break it down for you. Nani and Di Maria have been extremely inconsistent. Point closed. Nani didn't have the right attitude through out his career. He could have been a great player. Second point closed.
  13. I hate the master tacticians stance. Your opinion is being questioned. Stand with it, you don't need to label people.
  14. And that's where you went wrong. We don't have a #10. We won't for a long time now. If we had a traditional number 10, we'd be playing to Oscar's strength. Right now Jose is developing him into a player that can rotate with the two midfielders behind him. With Oscar in the middle (not as the #10) we have someone who can press in the intial phase, and rotate with Fabregas, who can excel in a position he loves. He gives us versatility. I have nothing against Willian, but he'll probably play a lot more on the wings when we need to counter directly to a threat from a winger.
  15. I was only talking about the consistency factor. I'm guessing that was the main point being discussed. If Nani had the right attitude, he would have been a top player though.
  16. You just said does nothing with the ball, has to run deep and when gets into a good position he's wasteful. Your opinion, I disagree with it entirely. In my opinion, he is going to start every game. If he does nothing and is a weak link, Jose wouldn't brand him as an important player. You want goals and flash from him every game, you won't get it. That does not make him a weak link.
  17. This is a poor reason. They also shelled out 24 for a 30 year old Eto'o right? Saying so and so paid this much money doesn't automatically prove one player to be better than other. Look at us for example, we paid 50 big ones for Torres. On the topic but, Oscar helps the team and I expect him to start most of he games where we face packed defenses. Unlike Willian, Oscar can have an upward raise on his development chart. Willian will now have a certain consistency to how good he is, and will eventually fall. He'll probably start most games until Oscar replicates his work-rate tooth to tooth.
  18. If you don't understand his role, you can't call him weak link. Probably the last person to be left out of the team-sheet...
