CFC looking for an attacker who can play off the left or central. (@JacobsBen) 🗯🔵Chelsea, PSG, Manchester United and Arsenal are in a developing race to sign Morgan Rogers. An initial fee of £90m could arise if a bidding war develops between the clubs. Chelsea would like primarily a left winger, with Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho being a disappointment so far. Chelsea have now hyped the summer window up so much that if they fail yet again, they might as well sack themselves.... Damn the protests, I predict a riot! https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/Chelsea-have-now-hyped-the-summer Obviously there wont be any riots (I hope), nor am I encouraging them with my tongue in cheek subtitle. But if Chelsea fail to deliver this summer, then I honestly think that anyone involved in making the decisions at this club will just need to say enough is enough, hold their hands up, say they tried, and then quit the club. I mean, just hand it over to Katie Price’s boyfriend, it would be THAT bad (I’m joking on that bit). Can you imagine, after the amount they have fully hyped up this coming summer transfer window, that they then go on to sign average or slightly better than average players, and it fails again? After everything they’ve put out in the media saying we are going to be signing more experience, or more established players this summer, after Liam Rosenior being out there telling us to all watch this space and ‘you will see’ come the summer, that they just continue down this failing path they are on instead? All hell would break loose. If they think Chelsea fans are angry now, let’s see them in that scenario. “We’ve had a lot of exciting conversations about how we can move things forward this summer,” Liam Rosenior said just this week. “You’ll see. You’ll see in the actions that we take, rather than the words that I speak now.” “Privately, the club have assured Marc Cucurella and captain Reece James - the latter during his most recent contract renewal - that signings with proven Premier League experience will arrive at centre‑back, central midfield and in attacking areas,” Nizaar Kinsella of The BBC wrote earlier this week. Time will tell. Actions speak louder than words. The proof will be in the pudding. And all those other relevant expressions. Not one single Chelsea fan is believing any of this right now, I assure you that. I have ZERO faith that even if they have those intentions, that they will sign the right players that instantly improve our starting Xl right NOW! I have zero faith that they will bring in any of the right mentalities, leadership, and attitudes that we need to add in. And I have zero faith that they will add the physicality and height we need to add in. I will happily hold my hands up and applaud if they pleasantly surprise me this summer. But forgive me for losing my entire faith in the last four years, like many of us have. So, they are talking the talk, but can they walk the walk? We shall see. I beg them to finally get it right, but there’s only a certain amount you can do on this wage structure and potentially without Champions League football that we still need to make sure we get.

Sources: Premier League CB comes up in internal talks for summer targets yet AGAIN Also news on second Premier League defender in this 👀 https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/sources-premier-league-cb-comes-up Chelsea are weighing up their options for new centre backs this summer, with this area on the pitch going to be the priority. As I’ve reported in many other articles lately, it’s not just centre backs the club are looking at come the end of the season when the window opens, they are also exploring whether they need to sign a new goalkeeper, left backs, wingers, and strikers. I’m not saying they will definitely sign all of these positions, but this is what they are considering right now. As I say though, defenders are going to be the main priority, and they are already putting work in on a few possible names. Something is certainly happening with Murillo of Nottingham Forest right now. Having been told about our interest in him MANY times over the last couple of seasons, SPTC Sources have heard his name come up in internal conversations about recruitment once again just this week! This will be quite significant and will mean that they will now seriously be looking to try and sign him this summer. Forest could still get relegated this season, and that would make this one much easier to do. But even if they don’t, Chelsea are looking at Murillo as a serious target for this summer. And further to that, our top source has confirmed they are hearing that Chelsea are looking to sign two new centre backs this summer. Nothing is done or close for Murillo yet of course, but it could advance. As well as him, we’ve had confirmation that Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke IS a player that Chelsea like and are looking into for this summer. I believe it’s been reported elsewhere, but our sources have also now confirmed the interest. One sticking point could be that we’ve also heard that Van Hecke had a number of training ground bust ups with Joao Pedro when they were both at Brighton, so we are unsure whether those two have squashed that beef or not, or whether it would stop a Chelsea move for Van Hecke. These things happen all the time, and hopefully they would be adult enough to put it behind them, IF a move should progress. Again, I’m not saying these two will definitely be the two centre backs we sign, but there is a lot of noise on them both this week. Remember, Chelsea also looking at other centre backs such as Jarrad Branthwaite, and many more.

19yo N. Ireland CB, 1.94m, great passer, multiple big clubs scouting him hard ‘Really good few weeks’: Tom Atcheson on new Blackburn deal, clean sheets and his Northern Ireland debut https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/international/really-good-few-weeks-tom-atcheson-on-new-blackburn-deal-clean-sheets-and-his-northern-ireland-debut/a/145513249.html Tom Atcheson has shared his family pride after making his senior Northern Ireland bow. It’s been an exciting few weeks for the teenage defender, from celebrating clean sheets with Blackburn Rovers to penning a new deal and making his Northern Ireland debut in the friendly against Wales. Guided by manager Michael O’Neill and coach Steven Davis at club and international level, the talented 19-year-old is an exciting prospect already capturing the attention of several clubs. Atcheson is eligible to represent Northern Ireland through his grandparents and was promoted by O’Neill from the Under-21 squad for the recent double-header after Sunderland’s Dan Ballard was ruled out through injury. He was an unused substitute in the 2-0 World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final defeat to Italy before coming on in the 80th-minute against Wales. “It’s been a really good few weeks for me, obviously making my debut for my country,” he said. “I signed a new deal and with the three clean sheets for Blackburn it has been amazing. “The Northern Ireland roots come from my granddad. The family are really proud, especially my grandad who was buzzing with it, he watched it on television. “It was really easy to integrate with the lads as they are a really good bunch, and it did help knowing the coaching staff.” Atcheson has a long list of admirers, reportedly including Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Everton, Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion. O’Neill commented: “He’s someone we knew about when he was in (Northern Ireland’s) Under-19s and Under-21s, we knew had a lot of potential. “He’s got a great temperament. He’s very calm, he’s balanced, and I think we’ve seen that in recent games.” Atcheson, who made his first-team debut for Rovers aged just 16 years and 343 days in August 2023, is focused on keeping the Lancashire club out of the Championship drop zone. Man United join intense seven-club PL battle for 19-year-old defensive prodigy https://strettynews.com/2026/04/05/man-united-want-tom-atcheson/ Manchester United are keeping tabs on the talented young Blackburn Rovers defender, Tom Atcheson. The 19-year-old is highly rated across England, and multiple clubs are monitoring his progress. However, Blackburn Rovers have no intention of losing one of their brightest young players, and they have moved quickly to tie him down to a new long-term deal. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United decide to test their resolve with an attractive offer in the summer. Tom Atcheson has made rapid progress The 19-year-old defender is currently a part of the Blackburn Rovers senior team, and he has impressed with his performances at the highest level. He also recently made his full international debut for Northern Ireland. It is clear that Atcheson is a player with tremendous potential, and he has a bright future in the game. It is no surprise that big clubs are monitoring his progress. The opportunity to move to Manchester United will be quite exciting. The young defender could be tempted if there is a concrete proposal on the table. Manchester United need more quality and depth in the defensive unit, and signing a talented young defender like Atcheson could be a wise decision. He would be a superb long-term investment for them. As per TEAMtalk, Tottenham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton, Brentford and Brighton are all interested in the 19-year-old defender, and they have scouted him in recent weeks. There could be an intense war for his signature in the summer. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can move quickly and steal a march on their rivals. Clubs from Germany and Italy are also monitoring the 19-year-old defender. It could be difficult for Blackburn Rovers to hold onto him for the long-term.

Report: Chelsea lead Premier League charge for teenage sensation Said El Mala https://www.caughtoffside.com/2026/04/08/report-Chelsea-premier-league-charge-sensation/ As the summer transfer window rapidly approaches, Chelsea’s relentless pursuit of Europe’s premier young talent shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. According to recent reports from the German outlet Bild, the Blues are maintaining a strong, active interest in FC Cologne’s breakout forward, Said El Mala. The 19-year-old has been a magnificent revelation in the Bundesliga this season, registering a highly impressive 10 goals in 28 league appearance, a clinical return that has inevitably placed him firmly on the radar of several top-flight English clubs. Said El Mala is a rising star in Germany El Mala’s rapid ascent from academy prospect to first-team regular has been nothing short of spectacular. Hitting double digits in one of Europe’s top five leagues as a teenager is a surefire way to command a premium valuation in the modern market. For Chelsea, who have heavily prioritised long-term, high-ceiling investments under their current ownership, securing a talent like El Mala matches perfectly with their overarching strategic vision at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, reports suggest that his representatives have turned down an approach from Newcastle United, indicating that the player’s camp may be carefully considering the right long-term destination rather than rushing into negotiations. Chelsea face competition from Premier League clubs However, the West Londoners are far from the only suitors closely monitoring the teenager’s progress. A fierce domestic bidding war is quietly brewing, with Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford, and Everton all registering concrete interest. Brighton and Brentford, in particular, possess stellar, data-driven reputations for identifying, nurturing, and eventually profiting from undervalued continental gems. By potentially offering a much clearer, less congested pathway to regular first-team minutes than Chelsea can provide, these clubs present a highly tempting alternative for a young player still navigating the critical early stages of his professional career. Interest in El Mala is not limited to England. Scouts from across Europe are believed to be tracking his progress, particularly after his consistent contributions in the Bundeslig, a league known for developing attacking talent at a rapid pace.

Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham are all understood to be in talks over a potential free transfer swoop for Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi. https://www.caughtoffside.com/2026/04/08/marcos-senesi-liverpool-Chelsea-spurs/ Sources with a close understanding of the situation have provided me with an update on Senesi’s situation after I previously reported on Chelsea exploring a deal. The 28-year-old looks to have a growing list of options available to him, with Liverpool and Spurs also touching base with his representatives ahead of a potential summer move. Depending on who you talk to, though, it seems a move to La Liga is considered more likely, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid felt to be leading the race for his signature. Marcos Senesi transfer situation explained “Senesi is yet to make a final decision on his future, but Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been in talks for some time,” one source said. “I wouldn’t rule out Premier League clubs just yet, but a move to Spain is more likely.” “Keep an eye on Chelsea because they’re growing increasingly aware of the need to add some experience. With Senesi set to be available on a free he’s an ideal candidate,” another source explained. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Tottenham are both keen amid doubts over their current defensive options, with Ibrahima Konate heading towards the end of his contract, while Cristian Romero is understood to be likely to leave Spurs this summer. Even if Konate signs a new deal with LFC, they could do with more options at the back after a dip in form from the ageing Virgil van Dijk. Marcos Senesi wants playing time and big contract It’s also my understanding that Senesi could have very high wage demands as he prepares to make his next move, with this likely to be the last big contract of his career. It remains to be seen which club is most willing to give the Argentine the kind of money he wants, but it will be an important factor, as will playing time. Senesi has shown himself to be a key performer at Bournemouth and one source described him as “very confident he can shine at a higher level.” It will be interesting to see which club can offer Senesi the kind of role he wants, but it’s certainly easy to imagine him having a positive impact and playing regularly for a variety of top teams.

You can't argue with this 'perfect example' of why Chelsea's strategy is 'simply ridiculous' The winger position is one of the biggest we've messed up https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/you-cant-argue-with-this-perfect I mean, you can also put the defence, goalkeeper, and even the strikers in that category above as well, which is even more ridiculous. But for this example, we are focusing on wingers. Pablo Espinosa San Mauroc, who contributes for Radio Marca and Diario AS in Spain, posted on his X account last night whilst watching the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich game in the Champions League. He was watching Michael Olise ball out for Bayern once again and of course, we as Chelsea fans know fully well that he is a player that we should have signed when we had a really good chance to. We came VERY close, but fumbled it. Pablo posted on his X account last night: “Instead of Olise, Chelsea ended up signing Pedro Neto (who still seemed like a good signing to me), Joao Félix, and Jadon Sancho. The following summer, Alejandro Garnacho and Jaime Gittens arrived. “In total, they cost 220 million. Olise, 54M. No matter how high a salary the Frenchman demanded, this is the perfect example to highlight that Chelsea’s strategy, so focused on signing young players with low salaries, is sometimes simply ridiculous.” And it’s true, whether you agree with the wage structure or not, and many do (I see why), this above to me is just a fact. Top players command top wages, it’s just how it is. Just look at the situation with Enzo Fernandez, he’s a top player who will command a top wage. It’s just how the game is. Can you win things without paying the top wages? Yes, we have won things already. But can you have sustained success without paying the top wages? Only time will tell if this changes but right now, that answer is no. Can you successfully run a football club by paying top wages and not having a strict wage structure that Chelsea have? Of course you can…. But there are so many financial restrictions so this is why I say that I do understand the wage limits we have in place. But it’s a tough balancing act and right now, we are just not balancing it. Also, keeping players happy when we aren’t having sustained success when other clubs come in and start offering them bigger wages, is a REAL problem that will prove to be impossible. That example above is something I don’t think can be argued. The winger recruitment has been a HUGE failure so far for this lot. Just because we don’t pay big wages, doesn’t mean we couldn’t have signed better wingers in general.

Chelsea are set to change their transfer policy this summer after a number of complaints from first team stars over the lack of experience in the squad. The Blues have spent more than €1.5 billion on players since the takeover by Clearlake Capital in 2022 but they have not signed a player over the age of 26 since the first summer under their new owners. Chelsea have the youngest average age by some distance in the Premier League and the oldest player in the squad currently is 28-year-old Tosin Adarabioyo, with the club’s transfer strategy to target younger players instead. However, Chelsea have had a number of disappointing results and performances this season which led to defender Marc Cucurella voicing his frustration at the ‘lack of experience’ that has cost his side during the campaign. Cucurella’s comments came around the same time Enzo Fernandez was disciplined by Chelsea for his comments fuelling speculation about a move to Real Madrid and it has led to fears over the long-term vision of the squad. However, according to the BBC, Chelsea have assured Cucurella and captain Reece James that they will make ‘experienced’ signings at centre-back, midfield and attack this summer in order to appease matters. Reuters I'll Believe it when it happens

agree, and the same for all the other big EPL sides as well (Citeh, Manure, Pool, NUFC, Villa, and even Spuds if they do not go down) especially if Arse lose Calafiori, as even though I rate Cala over Dio (even moreso because Cala is alaso a superb LB), Dio is still a quality CB Here is my current list of remotely available CBs I want us to try for (or at least REALLY consider, including some older vets) with the ones in bold my most preferred in order of T-Markt valuation Alessandro Bastoni Dean Huijsen ? we could have had him in January for HALF of what we will have to pay this summer PLUS we now will have ALL the huge teams to fight off for him I posted on him like crazy back last window I could tell he was a special one (no offence to Mou, lol) I do not care if this makes me sound silly, BUT literally I am a far better judge of talent than our millions of pounds worth of sporting directors and scouts look at my record of prediction since BlueCo bought us then compare it to theirs mine blows theirs away, at least in terms of non schoolboys

💨Plettigoal" Chelsea loses the race for Said El Mala. In the end, Brighton will pay the price, just as they did with Georginio Rutter, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Matt O'Riley, and Mats Wieffer. 🗯🔵Personal terms between Said El Mala and Brighton were never an issue. Salary, contract length, and the package for his brother Malek have been agreed in principle for weeks. However, there is still no agreement with Köln. Reports suggesting otherwise are being denied. There are currently no advanced negotiations either. Effzeh are pushing for €40-50 million guaranteed, which Brighton are not willing to pay at this stage. 💥🔵Chelsea have entered the race for the 18 y/o talented centre-back Karim Coulibaly, who is seen as a top talent with huge potential. CFC are very impressed with his development. A summer move is 100% planned. Several top clubs are scouting him, including Real Madrid, ManUtd, Newcastle, PSG and Napoli. Werder Bremen are still hoping for a fee of €40-50m. I love the 51% of the voters. Money or not, they cannot be distracted, they just want to continue their life without Diego Moreira. Diomande joining Arsenal will be bad news for us.. Quenda and Estevao better explode quickly and loudly or we will end up with Neto forever.

💰 @JacobsBen on CFC's record-breaking agent fees: They [CFC hierarchy] have certain favored agents that help them broker deals, even if that agent doesn't directly represent a client. If you're using a broker and the player's agency, then that's two payments, not one. 🥱☢️
