  1. Past hour
  2. No guarantee we will be able to convince him to join. He'll have other options
  3. As said no point in any new manager when the board are here. They need to go, no new manager makes any improvements with us because they are here.
  4. Maybe we can win!!! And then finally win a Wembley final again!!
  5. It's funny that the names Gary O'Neil 🤣, Lampard, Xavi, Tuchel and S. Hoeneß haven't come up yet.
  6. From Bournemouth? Suppose they’re 9th but Jesus.
  7. Available, no. But it used to be when Chelsea needed a manager we could go to someone who was currently employed at another big club and convince them to come here. As in the mud as we are currently I would hope that these guys at least make some top level managers laugh in their faces and tell them no. If they offer enough money and control you never know if one might actually say yes. But it’s seeming more and more like Iraola will be the guy.
  8. 💥🔵Andoni Iraola is a leading candidate to become the next Chelsea boss. TalkSPORT understands Iraola is the leading candidate. (@alex_crook & @JacobsBen) ✅️He's a better choice than Marco Silva, Terzic, Howe, Glasner, and McKenna
  9. Is there a seriously good manager who's available? Of course, the board is approaching this with zero long-term planning. Any serious operation would be constantly working behind the scenes to make sure they have an idea, direction when there's a need to change manager. By all accounts, these guys were twiddling their thumbs after patting themselves on the back for hiring Rosenior.
  10. Utds resurgence is largely down to them having our ex No2 Steve Holland
  11. Some of these names are depressing. Not a single one that would give any Chelsea supporters genuine excitement or belief that things can definitely be turned around. The fact that a guy who hasn’t even managed 2 years in Terzić is even a name linked is insane. And if memory serves he didn’t exactly leave Dortmund on great terms. Whilst I think the current 4 PL managers that are being named (Iraola, Howe, Marco Silva, and Glasner) may be able to steady things and get us competitive again, would I be at all confident that any of these guys could take us to the level that we aspire to return to? Nope. There really doesn’t seem to be any manager out there that could make the Chelsea fanbase stop and think “oh, wow, maybe BlueCo really are serious now.” These are all yet more “hope and pray they work out” level candidates.
  12. 💣🗯👀🔵Amongst all the madness that is going on out there right now around our club, the summer transfer window is still approaching us. Because no matter who our manager is, the plans and targets will pretty much stay the same. We could see as many as three new names arrive in the midfield positions this summer, and as many as three (or more) depart. Sources have heard that Andrey Santos is now being tracked by Manchester United, who are showing an interest in the Blues midfielder for a possible summer move. Chelsea are open to selling Santos for the right fee. They are also open to selling Romeo Lavia. Sources have heard that Premier League clubs are showing an interest in Lavia, but most of them are reluctant to move due to his injury history. And finally for now, Dario Essugo is attracting loan interest from La Liga clubs and is more than likely to depart on a temporary move this summer, allowing more space for new arrivals. So that is the state of play with these three. (@SimonPhillips)
  13. Well on the positive, we have done well in some big games straight after a manager sacking....
  14. 💥🔵There is recognition that Chelsea cannot bring in another coaching team with no top-level experience to replace Rosenior and the search for his successor is expected to centre around finding a candidate who has proved they could cope with the demands of a big club and the Premier League. (@Matt_Law_DT) Marco Silva,Terzic, Iraola, Glasner,McKenna That's not it at all.
  15. Today
  16. Marco Silva & Terzic makes my blood boil. fucking jokers
  17. 🗯🔵Sources say that Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Edin Terzic are under consideration as possible replacements for Liam Rosenior. (@NizaarKinsella) 💣💨Julian Naglesmann is not interested in taking over Chelsea. (@Matt_Law_DT) 🚨Eddie Howe, Francesco Farioli, Filipe Luís and McKenna all have admirers within the club and have come up in discussion for previous vacancies. (@JacobsBen)
  18. ''To be entrusted with this role means the world to me. I cannot turn down this opportunity to join an incredible club, incredible squad who are Club World Cup champions. I will love Strasbourg for the rest of my life, but I cannot turn down Chelsea."
  19. Too soon for this role..he should've stayed where he was. Hope he makes it wherever he goes if not he has many ££££
  20. Reaction as Chelsea sack Rosenior after five successive defeats https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/live/cn9qw01ex8nt Team news dropping soonpublished at 18:43 BST 18:43 BST Image source,Getty Images Don't forget, we've got two big games coming up at 20:00 BST. Team news will be dropping in the next few moments from Turf Moor, where Manchester City will replace Arsenal at the top of the table if they win and relegate Burnley. And Leeds United, who play Chelsea next in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday, are at Bournemouth, who are still in the hunt for Europe. Nice pay-off. Rather than sack managers every few months, why not look at the players? 213 10 Share 'Rosenior was not the biggest problem at Chelsea'published at 18:37 BST 18:37 BST BBC Radio 5 Live Chelsea fan Teema Nicholls reacting to news of Liam Rosenior's sacking on BBC Radio 5 Live: "He had to go. He couldn't have stayed, but Liam Rosenior was not and is not the biggest problem at Chelsea. "Those that appointed him and other managers have also got to face serious questions and the sack as well. "I think they put him in an unfair position and we as a football club are now facing consequences. Whoever is appointed next is a huge appointment. I don't think the ones that appointed Rosenior can be part of that decision-making." 144 12 Share What have the fans been thinking?published at 18:35 BST 18:35 BST Image source,Getty Images Supporters, like the players, have expressed differing views, but the widespread anger among the fanbase has been largely directed at the club's American owners. A growing but still fringe protest movement, Not A Project CFC, attracted more than 500 fans who marched to Stamford Bridge before Saturday's defeat by Manchester United. It harked back to the end of last season, when chanting against the ownership began. Chelsea Supporters' Trust has also written an open letter to the club highlighting its concerns. A further fans' forum meeting is scheduled to take place this week. Rosenior was drawn into the anger, with expletive-laden chants directed towards him from the away end. His predecessors, Maresca and Mauricio Pochettino, also faced similar treatment, but not so early in their tenures. 23 15 Share Players' frustrationspublished at 18:33 BST 18:33 BST Image source,Getty Images Liam Rosenior had become a point of frustration, according to multiple figures close to Chelsea players. The extent of that frustration varied. Some described him as a friendly character who means well, while others enjoyed working with him at his previous club, Strasbourg, part of the same BlueCo ownership group. Others, notably several Spanish-speaking players, are understood to have preferred working under Maresca. That was reflected in interviews given by Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez. Decisions to rotate goalkeepers and limit minutes for certain players, including Josh Acheampong, who often features briefly from the bench, have caused some discontent. Perhaps most concerning is the atmosphere within the leadership group. One source inside Chelsea said senior players are often quiet when invited to give their views during near-daily team meetings. 15 30 Share get involved Get Involved: Chelsea sack Rosenior - your reactionpublished at 18:30 BST 18:30 BST Image source,Getty Images Iain Franklin: Ridiculous club, if you sign a young manager on a long term contract at least give them a season to get a grip on the squad. It was the club's worst run of defeats without scoring since 1912 - the year that Titanic sank. Chelsea's owners acted after the Blues' were completely outplayed in a 3-0 loss at Brighton on Tuesday, when they failed to muster a shot on target and finished with an xG of 0.4. 53 8 Share 'Comical scenes'published at 18:23 BST 18:23 BST Nizaar Kinsella BBC Sport Chelsea reporter Image source,Getty Images Liam Rosenior’s four-month reign at Chelsea will be remembered for an emphasis on “respecting the ball” and for his defence of the pre-match huddle that saw his starting XI encircle referee Paul Tierney. The comical scenes before a defeat by Newcastle summed up the unfortunate ridicule faced by the 41-year-old from supporters during his first Premier League job. But it also marked the point at which a downturn in form began, one that would eventually lead to his downfall. A five-game losing run without a goal culminated in a 3-0 defeat away at Brighton. Poor as the performance was, it forced the hand of the sporting directors, who met on Wednesday morning and decided to part company with their latest appointment. 82 14 Share get involved Get Involvedpublished at 18:20 BST 18:20 BST Use 'Get involved' to have your say Surely he should've been given more than 106 days? I think that this is appalling. Chris, Hull Would any other manager have done better considering the situation he was thrown into? Maresca leaves for challenging owners, Rosenoir leaves for challenging players’ attitudes. Players on eight year contracts… Omar, UAE You can't help but feel sorry for Rosenior. He couldn't say no that job, but he clearly wasn't ready for that job, and that lies squarely on the Chelsea board for not doing a proper search and going straight for him.
