Exactly. How many top centre backs are you going to get for £30-40m yet alone a home grown, ex academy player who is already living in & around London? Its beggars belief that they have quite clearly no intentions of going for it. Yet some 16 year old CB from Ecudaor, Cyprus or Afghanistan or wherever who may be good in 3-4 years will be their first priority. Could have done it in the fucking summer too when the previous manager was screaming put for a CB in the press after Wesley’s injury….. they have no interest in competing with the big boys. Like zilch. Has Lavia really played enough football here in the 3 seasons to be considered part of any potential spine? Like in those minutes has he really looked like someone who can contribute, can be relied upon to that level? The club were more than willing to offload him to United in the summer in a deal for Garnacho as well. He hasn’t done enough & probably won’t due to his injuries - not his fault but when you sign an injured player & he gets injured again constantly, your always up against it. Do think he will (rightfully, probably) be on the chopping block in the summer too. As mentioned, you need depth. Look at any successful side we had here in the past. Fofana (again has he really done enough to be considered part of a spine) & Colwill are out long term… we have got Tosin & Trev in most weeks. Tosin couldn’t spell defend yet alone try & do it. That potential spine you put, never mind Lavia, 3 of those 6 are severely injury prone?

You have TWO for every position, you dont outsource the medical to a company that also repairs other players from rivals.

We had a decent spine but how many of them are actually fit? Reece - Fofana - Colwill - Cucu Caicedo - Lavia Lavia and Fofana's injury records are a joke, how do you spend 120 million and they can't play 3 games in a row.

The manager/coach role is really pointless when you think about it at this club, that role is meant to be the line between the board and playing people, problem here is it is one continuous spine where the board pick the players they want to buy, the board pick the players to play and the manager is there to shove on a tracksuit and speak to the media and take training

We all know that Rosenior will be somewhat of a yes man, he will be guided more than ever before by the numerous clowns above him. What is even more worrying is we need more top class players and experience in this team more than ever before and this appointment of Rosenior has effectively moved as far away from that as possible. I can bet good money we will see more players coming from Strasbourg, to save on transfers and wages and everyone behind the scenes will be happy with that. The season is on a real knife edge, we will probably go out over two legs v Arsenal, our form in the PL is horrendous and there is 4 points between us and Spurs who sit 14th in the table. Do not kid yourself and think we cannot be dragged into the lower echelons of the PL table, our form says we could be there in the next two weeks as teams around us aren't just looking better than us but are playing more dynamic and more front foot football Next two games in the PL are Brentford at home and Palace away, two points at best on current form. This fucking Rosenior guy needs to one, stop the heavy rotation and two, find his best team very very quickly or things will go pear shape and quickly. I don’t believe that to be true and I hope it isn’t, players have strengths and weaknesses like any one else, this team isn’t good at slow buildup possession boringly mind fucking numbing football, we have players like Steve and garnacho on the wings, these don’t wanna be passing back to centre back they want to run at players, same with delap he’s a unit shit house, he wants something to run onto not at his feet constantly, I fear the problem isn’t the players not been good enough, more the owners have a style of play they want to play, but are not buying players for that type of play! Which in its self it’s stupid as fuck! Which makes the manager role even harder because you have a style of play the owners want your style of player but give you fucking no tools to do it, like asking a plumber to come fit you a bath room and all he brings is a chain saw

I suppose it could be how any new business/plan starts, you have to spend money at the start to make money, any new business almost makes a loss on the first few years until its becomes self sufficient, would make sense at the start to buy a huge amount so you can start the revolving door, think as these players as stock, we should by now have the stock and hopefully we see less and less youngster bought simple to sell and not to play
