Four managers since these guys took over the club. The first one they ran out because he clashed with their “vision” and refused to fall in line with amateurs who knew nothing about football. They then spent an absurd amount of money to go raid Brighton for their top choice who lasted a blink of an eye because he was totally out of his depth. And next both Poch and now Maresca will both go because they fall out with the hierarchy. What a shambolic joke. And these are the same idiots that will be picking our next manager? Why are they not being sacked just like Maresca will be? Appointing the Strasbourg manager who no other club in the top half of the PL would even give a second look is criminal. We’re in this current mess in large part because the squad is so young and naive. So we may appoint a manager who has ZERO big club experience and will be under immense pressure from day 1? There needs to be massive protest by local supporters and boycotts if they do this shit. They’re running a massive club into the ground permanently.

Were cooked if that's the best the 2 clowns can come up with.
-
Think even if Egbali closed him eyes and picked a random Sporting director would've been better than the 2 dumb brothers Winstanley and Stewart.
-
Poor sod, I said it before this clown is hiding behind Clownlake gross incompetence of being crap and the cowboys pointing to him for this inconsistency.
-
2025 was the first year since 2020(Lampard) which we completed without manager change, not even Tuchel managed to stay for a whole calendar year. Kudos! Happy new year to everybody!

If your cbs can’t pass you don’t pass it backwards
-
This is what worries me. I doubt we'll get someone better just someone different who is around the same level...maybe they'll prove me wrong but not holding out for much
-
Writing is on the wall judging by these latest reports from Ben Jacobs. I think he’s as good as gone. If we appoint Rosenoir this club is cooked for the foreseeable future. He’s a manager that a club like Palace or West Ham would take a punt on if their current ones leave. You don’t replace one manager who was new to handling a top PL club with someone else who is the same. If Maresca goes we HAVE to appoint an interim boss for the rest of the season and then assess our options come summer.

@Thor weren't you saying that Pochettino would have us playing better? What does that table tell you. How much of this is really down to the manager?
-
Joao Pedro having an inconsistent first touch, Delap being unable to be an aerial threat, Tosin backing away from attackers, Garnacho being unreliable with finishing, Badiashile having limited passing ability, Gittens playing with low confidence - I think some of those can be fixed by a good coach, but to say that all of this is down to the manager is simplistic.

Personally think that Arsenal is overstocked in defensive positions, but good for them. We have a number of CBs too, but more than half of them are way below the level required. Even Colwill at his best is still a question mark.

When you have CBs incapable of picking a pass, then backwards ball will be here to stay for a while.

I think Tosin was a beneficiary of the rotation policy the directors have enforced along with Maresca. It took several back to back awful performances for him to be dropped, but its probably only a matter of time before he gets restored to the lineup. Players being played out of position, like Gusto at LB, is a Maresca thing for sure. The terrible first half with Acheampong at RB & Gusto at LB was all down to him.

Funny how an AI model is able to call out the genius strategy of these owners. Basically showing what the majority take across various internet forums is. That they're essentially stocking up players with a priority on resale value more than anything else. Madueke being a good example.
-
yes this is my opinion also most of the blame is for the board but Maresca did a lot of bad decisions and he can't get the full potential of our squad

If I personally had to place blame it would be maybe 70% the owners/directors fault and 30% on Maresca. The recruitment by and large has been abysmal and the wage + age cap’s have severely affected said recruitment. They haven’t given Maresca the tools to compete with Arse/City etc like we should be doing. Even when he was asking publicly for a specific thing that we badly needed (a top CB) they ignore him. At the same time though, Maresca has not come close to maximizing the talent and squad we have. There is no way on Earth a squad with Reece James, Palmer, Caicedo, Estevão, Cucu, Enzo etc should be miles and miles behind Aston Villa, never mind the actual title contenders. It’s obvious that we severely lack quality in a couple of super key positions (striker & CB) but this is still a squad that should be comfortably finishing in the top 4 without much worry as is. That even 4th seems a super long shot at this point is unacceptable and insane and that’s why Maresca’s job is and SHOULD be under threat. If we get smoked and embarrassed by City this weekend I think he’s hanging on by a thread. One more poor result after that match and I think he’s gone.

ChatGPT could run Chelsea better….
-
maybe yes maybe not lets see what will happen with other manager but I think we all agree that the summer market was a disaster
-
Maresca is not 90% of the problem. Fans like you are a bigger problem than Maresca. Wake up and smell the coffee… The owners are 99% of the problem here.
-
I dont think this is true at all. We are weak in key areas - CB, LW, ST (JP is a second striker) + we have the youngest squad of the lot The team played well vs Newcastle, Villa and Bournemouth but came away with 2 points. We've had very few professional, no-nonsense 90 min performance this season and that's because of the squad we have assembled which was not a Maresca call. Maresca is not 90% of the problem at all. We will need a new coach but more than that, we will need to refresh the starting XI with experienced players.
-
No one Wait till the summer and see if Emery or anyone else (Cesc?) becomes a serious option.
-
Our players are inconsistent because they aren’t put in positions to succeed. That’s on the manager. Literally stifling our offence and making players play scared.

💣🗯I think if E. Maresca has to leave soon, Chelsea will be one of the options. ⛔️The fact the average life expectancy of a Chelsea manager since 1974 is two years, means to me its almost a losing battle expecting a long term manager -✅️Iraola's contract runs until 2026 and has an exit clause. -✅️Rosenior would be an immediate and easy option as he wants to return to England and is employed by the sister club. -✅️De Zerbi Sam Jewell and Wimstanley are huge admirers of him and will bring him to Brighton. There has already been an exchange between Jewell Egbahli and De Zerbi. -✅️Farioli is doing a great job at FC Porto and has an exit clause. He is a student of De Zerbi's coaching! ️-✅️Xavi is unemployed, wants to join the Premier League, plays offensively and is fully committed to youth, thanks to him so many young players are integrated in Barcelona. -🚫Fabregas is difficult to get, Inter Leverkusen and Juve were already rejected in the summer, I think he will stay in Como, where he is still co-owner of the club, until at least summer 26. -🚫McKenna almost joined Chelsea ahead of Enzo Maresca, but at the last moment he turned down United, Tottenham, and Chelsea and extended his contract. I think he's still on the directors' list! -🚫Glasner i think will move to his dream club Manchester United as soon as they sack Amorim by summer 2026 at the latest! -🚫Lampard will be promoted with Coventry City and spend at least one more season with them in the Premier League. -🚫Filipe Luis is a great coach who has unfortunately just extended his contract until 2028. He will become a full-time coach and make his way, maybe even at Chelsea!
