Just In: Liverpool agree personal terms with Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo https://thedailybriefing.io/p/liverpool-agree-terms-antoine-semenyo-january-transfer Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo ahead of the January transfer window. That is according to the latest from Indy Kaila, who shared this exclusively with CaughtOffside. The Reds have matched Manchester City’s offer, who too have agreed terms with the 25-year-old attacker. The decision now comes down to the player’s preference. According to Indy’s sources, Semenyo can leave Bournemouth for £65m, but that clause expires before the 10th of January and is no longer valid for the rest of the month. There is another clause which makes him available for £5m less but that doesn’t become active until the summer transfer window. It is not just Man City and Liverpool. Tottenham are also said to be ready to trigger his release clause and can financial match the terms offered by their Premier League rivals. Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth (Photo by Ryan Pierse/Getty Images) Semenyo leaning toward Liverpool With potentially three to four clubs ready to pounce Semenyo, the ultimate decision would come down to the player himself. It has been reported that the player prefers a move to Liverpool over other clubs. As per Indy, the player is yet to make a decision on his preferred destination and will not rush into a decision. If the Reds are willing to match the financial offer of others, there is no reason why they can not land Semenyo in January. Salah’s future could play a massive role in his decision as well. As things stands, the club and Salah have had a falling out which could lead to the Egyptian star being sold to Saudi in the January transfer window. This would give Semenyo an opportunity to slot straight into his position and make an immediate impact. Which clubs he ends up choosing remains to be seen but one thing looks certain, Semenyo is not going to be at Bouremouth come January.

The most baffling thing to me is that Maresca brought on Tosin but refused to give minutes to Estevao in a match where we desperately needed to score.

All of the other English clubs with big UCL performances and wins whilst we put in that shocker last night. Liverpool have been in the mud and had that whole Salah distraction and still went out and performed when needed. Bloody Spuds won big! Yet our joke of a side did what it did. 🤦♂️

Anselmino is off injured in the 76th minute, it was his second start of the week today. Anselmino seems to be Lavia center back!!!!!!🤬

Im not haha just bit rubbish to be so far behind in both! Barcalona they had 10 men!! Good as performance was we canf forget that.. Title talk was dumb! Who in their right mind would think it 🤣 no chance! A few decent games doesnt make you a title winner! It'll be top 4 again and even if get through to the knocks out bit pointless..
-
Don't be shocked, this is where we are at as a team, do not let the Barca result and the silly title talk when we were second mist your vision If we get top 4 it will be an absolute miracle, if we qualify for the CL it will be the same
-
Arsenal winning shock horror..fab goal though from Madueke City also winning.. And we're 13th..lovely! 8 points behind Arsenal in 2 tables...
-

🔵BlueCo apparently close to signing David Mimbang (17) from EFBC! 🇨🇲 More than just securing a top midfield talent for the future, this would also be a brilliant step for RC Strassbourg in strengthening their relationship with one of the best academies in Cameroon, ahead of Lille who signed Carlos Baleba from them in 2022. (@alfredfrank) After Muhammad Zongo (16), the next African talent lands at BlueCo in Strasbourg, with more to follow! BlueCo is currently buying up half of Africa.

Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere says they knew Chelsea would drop off in the 2nd half: “We knew intensity wise, they will drop in the 2nd half. We know they get a lot of goals against them in the 2nd half.”
-
Everyone said after Leeds he shouldn't play again but in true Marseca style we see him appear once again only days later
-
Tosin last night: lost 100% of his ground duels, committed the foul that directly led to Atalanta's game-winning goal, lost the ball four times, completed less than half of his passes, and didn't make one single tackle, despite us pushing more and more in the closing minutes. Disastrously poor performances from him are stacking up higher and higher as the season drags on. Maresca is suicidal (job-wise) if he plays Tosin again, especially if he starts him. Tosin is doing more to destroy our season than any other single player in the squad.
-
The more Tosin plays the less he is worth. He is shambolic at this point. Easily our worst current Sr 25 man squad player.
