I doubt we will buy Mainoo, especially if Rosenior says he does not want him. Carrick wants Mainoo to stay btw.
-
If we are after a CB then it just shows how incompetent and fanbase led these clowns are. Every Tom, Dick and Harry, including Maresca told the dickheads at the helm that we needed a CB in the summer and they said to look internally. Now they see a need for it because the fanbase and starting to seriously turn? It’s too late BlueCo.. soo many people are finally waking up to your nonsense… it’s a matter of time before even the most loyal BlueCo bandits wake up too.
-
I still don’t see future “top player” when I watch Elliot Anderson. He looks solid but doesn’t scream Premier League contender/Champions League club level starter to my eyes. And as someone else here recently, I wish so badly that these silly Kobbie Mainoo rumors would die. He had a short purple patch of good form where he looked super promising but has done nothing since. United have had a shocking midfield for ages and he can’t even lock down a place there. So why the hell would we even consider him? He’s not better than our backup midfielders currently. If we go big for a midfielder it has to be someone that’s a genuine level raiser. Not yet another good but not great player just so we have another body to rotate.

Semenyo, Rudiger, Senesi…. Never ever realistically were going to or will happen. Same with Guehi which is near embarrassing given this whole right opportunity bullshit they spewed out to whoever those journalist lads were. It will be more u23 players. Don’t get your hopes up. Rosenoir isn’t going to be the guy who forces these to change their plan, even if he is apparently getting a say in whether we go for Anderson, Wharton or Mainoo. He will want one of the first two probably but he will more than likely end up with Mainoo. We are the only PL club with a reasonably well noted interest…. look at the Garnacho saga. Didn’t take long.
-
That’s not the point. The issue is that management thought Facundo was a good option to rotate and keep the level up. another young project player that need to play in a lower level to grow

TBH, Im glad they didn't spend the money on Xavi. 1 goal and 3 assists and he disappears on the pitch in a lot of games. He also seems to be a defensive liability.
-
Chelsea lost the race for Xavi Simons and instead chose to sign yet another young prospect with “potential,” on loan, supposedly to add depth to the squad. This decision perfectly sums up everything that is wrong with the club’s current direction. Rather than prioritising proven quality and immediate impact, the board keeps gambling on raw profiles, piling up projects instead of building a coherent team. Squad depth is meaningless if it comes at the cost of ambition, clarity, and competitiveness at the top level.
-
we need to wait if some UCL clubs try to buy those players cuz if we fail ucl I doubt we can get some of this three players
-
💥🔵Elliot Anderson is on Chelsea’s list for the summer window, with appreciation for Mainoo and Wharton, too. Liam Rosenior will play a role in deciding which names the club go for in the market. (@AlexCrook)
-
they dont care about peak player. They only want project players. This is sick. I never see anything like that
-
🔵🗯Chelsea have been linked by Spanish media with a surprise return for Antonio Rudiger despite Chelsea insiders downplaying any approach to date. Marcos Senesi is another older name Chelsea have discussed, but they are more inclined to look at a younger name. (@JacobsBen)
-
I don't believe this business of hiring Senesi for a second. It's just to appease the fans and then say, "We tried for an older player, but we'll go with a younger one."

I agree, plus there is also Omar Alderete from Sunderland. He is only 4 and a half months older, is a wee taller (1.88m versus 1.85m), and is also a typical 'great on the ball' and really agressive South American (Paraguay) CB like Senesi (Argentina). Both are left footed as well. Alderete is less injury-prone as well.

Time to bump this thread and take a deep dive into just how poor this bloke is. He has had a little bit of a purple patch where he was really good, but that was never going to last based on just how average a keeper he is. I have said time and time again, when this bloke has to think he is in deep deep trouble, because he pulls off some of the most mental point blank saves you will see when he doesn't have to engage his brain. Then, we have the flip side, when he has to think, when the ball is at his feet, when he comes out to claim and punches someone flat in the head, the United game being sent off right at the start, his brains are in his fucking underpants. He has made the most errors leading to goals (7) since last season, ahead of Van Breugen on 6, the project puppet defended him last night and he was always going to do that, but in the cold light of day this club has had some unreal keepers, this guy isn't one of them, he is simply nowhere near good enough for what we need now or going forward. I don't watch or know enough about Penders, but surely to god he cannot be worse than this fella and it will be a classic Blue Co side step just go and slot him in straight in for next season, or we going to see another bizarre and laughable situation where Sanchez is allowed to continue because he has lots of credit in the bank. We have a serious problem in our back 4 and people are quick to talk about it, what is not spoken about is how bad and costly this bloke is, we need to move away from him as we are never winning anything again with him between the sticks, he's rubbish
-
Like someone said, it was just another bizarre and crazy addition. He has hardly played, when he has hasn't really offered anything and the amount of stupid additions this board make, they make more stupid decisions than real quality additions. Sign it off as another shite attempt from the board at bringing in a player that offered fuck all
-
Thought Estevao was excellent last night, I just want to see more and more of him, he's raw but immensely unpredictable in what he does on the ball. Please start him against Brentford, and despite us not winning last night his performance needs rewarding in another start and while he is playing very well, keep starting him
-
Senesi would be the short term best option if all we’re looking for is an immediate upgrade to help us achieve 5th place for UCL footy and as a bridge to when Colwill returns. Murillo would be the best long term option for me but feels impossible because he’s so important for Forest and just signed a new deal. They’d probably demand £80m+ for him in the coming summer and turn down any offers this month. Then you have to take into account that multiple big PL clubs will be after both him and Elliot Anderson in the summer which will make dealing with Forest a massive pain in the ass. So unless we tap him up ASAP right now and he asks to come here and only here I don’t think it can happen. I know Estevão is mates with him… 👀
-
Maybe nothing spectacular but right now a decent CB would go a long way, our CB's are absolute garbage right now. Tosin and Benoit are as bad as they come, Trev isn't much better and Fofana is just a ticking time bomb. Get a new CB this window, get Colwill fit and back at it and it's a big step in the right direction
-
As much as we need a cb i haven’t been watching Sensi or Guehi to see of they are any good but Sensi has defo stood out whb watching highlights … nothing spectacular though.
-
Tosin ain't going anywhere, he's seen as a leader and his feet are right under the carpet at this club Senesi, Guehi or Murillo, any of them, just no to any more young up and coming shite from european leagues, I want PL experience ready to slot straight in
-
I see Senesi’s name being mentioned on Twitter. He has really impressed me this season including against us. He’d probably be the best possible profile for a midseason CB. Perfect age in that he’s late 20’s so highly experienced but not too old, he’s fully settled and used to the PL so could slot straight into the team with minimal adjustment, and there probably wouldn’t be an issue once Levi returns because he’s not a youngster. As a short to medium term signing I think he’d be great. Maybe get a solid 3 seasons out of him. Great with the ball at his feet, good passing range, aggressive and assertive. Probably wouldn’t cost too much either.

Well, thanks for everything I guess.. Weird signing with weird ending, but he wasn't so bad after all. I felt he should have played more when Palmer was unavailable. Garnacho, Neto, Gittens are running/shooting tools, Estevao is like a one-man-army, creating everything for himself.. Buo was pretty much the only player of ours who was looking to create chances for the strikers.
-
God I hope we've spread the virus to the whole Arsenal squad
-
Surely we go for Guehi, and maybe push Tosin out at the same time. One guy we can maybe sign reasonably cheap (or free on an agreement to start in summer), and another guy we got for free (I think) we can surely sell for a small bit of cash. That would be a proper and standard Clearlake manoeuvre. I really like Murillo if he was available at a sensible price but NFO are a bit of a nightmare so I wouldn't really expect much there. Music to my ears to hear talk of us actually looking at some of our fundamental problems for once.
