Madmax 9,219
Cant directly replace expierence with youngsters mate, look at how well that expierement went this time round.Nah I mentioned the players we need to replace the ones to sell. The youngsters are there to fill a squad role.

ack17 205
Drogba's situation is just like Hasselbaink in 2004. He still has the ability, but the club must sell him in order to build the new team

The Big Drog 1,110
I'm amazed someone believe the young player that play in championship level can play in chelseaNobody is saying stick Bruma and Van Aanholt in as regular starters next season, however they are worthy of their spot in the squad. Are you telling me that Kakuta couldn't produce a performance that could match, if not better, Anelka's tonight, the only way he will grow into the player we all know he can be is if we give him game time. The way we play, our midfield is crying out for a cultured playmaker, incredibly we actually have one in Josh McEachran but he rarely gets any game time, Im not saying have the 18 year old lad starting every week, but like what Man Utd do with Gibson ( a player with considerably less talent than McEachran) give him a few starts, let him grow into the role and when it comes to Sturridge, he is doing it at a high level at a club with less resources, he can do it for Chelsea. neel 257
we have to built our team around Ramires, Torres, Sturridge, Luiz and Ivan. Lampard , Drogba and JT will be there as a mentor like Giggs, Scholes and cuntvile in Man U. If we trying to build this team around Lampard and Drogba again then in the next session we have to struggle to have a top six position. Badboy 1,526
I don't know why people are too scared to say Lampard, he is such a liability now its not even funny his goal scoring no longer compensates for his lack of creative magic. Lampard is hurting the team so much that it offends me, he is finished and people showed realize this fact.
neel 257
This is because we all love Lampard. Yes time is not great for him. But he gave so much for our club . It is natural that fans will be considerate and compassionate toward him even in hard time. But being realistic everybody would acknowledge that he should not be given first team chance frequently. Badboy 1,526
Yes but people are so quick to say Drogba should leave but at least Drogba is showing fighting spirit at the moment. That man is fading away too but my god is he putting up one hell of a fight. Lampard is wayyy too selfish he is hurting this team, Torres is receiving no service from him what so ever. If you'd read through the posts on the earlier page and some of the other posts elsewhere, you'd seen several people advocating a truncated role for him from next season onwards. Ollie 4,400
Na matter what we want, the fact is that all these cunts will probably be here next season and some the season after too. MaloudaKalouBosingwaAnelkaThese are the 4 i'd let go. Lampard has to be a cameo player now like Scholes is for utd and use Benayoun more.Bring back Sturridge, Kakuta, Cork (Who i personally rate very highly) and use Josh like Arse have used Wilshere. It will fall into place.
neel 257
And we needed a creative attacking midfielder. Creativity was the issue and in form or off form Lampard is not the solution. Lampard is the goal threat for any team in the world but he has little to do with creativity.it is up to the team management in deciding Lampard's replacement. If they want to follow mourinho's path then we need another lampardesque player. If we want to play creative football then we need a player in different mold .
