Cech

Ivanovic/Ferreira - Luiz - Terry - Cole

Mikel

Ramires - Benayoun

Drogba - Torres - Malouda

Give Frank, Essien and Alex a rest. Alex wasn't that confident on Tuesday, he was beaten on many occasions. With Drogba returning to his form and starting to perform well, he should definitely start. Don't fucking lose the faith on Torres or else he'll be the next Andriy Shevchenko with no single doubt. Remove him on 60 or 70 minutes if he doesn't score, but don't bloody bring that prick Kalou on. He has not improved since he joined the club. His first touch is horribly laughable. A player who can't receive one ball properly doesn't deserve to play for Chelsea Football Club. I've seen improvement on Malouda since that Wigan game, he was not that bad against United on Tuesday either, I saw the 1/4 of last season's Malouda, he was unstopabble in some of his runs.

Carlo must definitely play John Mikel and Benayoun on this one. Enough of the stupid decisions. Let's win this.

I'd play that team.....fuck Anelka off for good....

Anelka has good skills and technique, but he is a lazy son of a bitch who doesn't seem to give a damn atm. Therefore he must definitely be sold in the summer.

Depends who it was with. Some of my one night stands have not been nice to look at in the morning.....

The closer to closing time, the better they look... then comes the morning and reality. I feel that way with the whole Torres situation right now.

It got closer and closer to January 31st/closing time. Was it the right fit at the right time for Torres? for Chelsea? Didn't matter because time was ticking down, can't go home empty-handed. I still believe Torres is a top-class player. I also believe his incorporation into the side (if you can call it that) has been a mess from the Liverpool match to Tuesday night.

If the setup continues like this next season, Roman threw his money out the window. Changes will need to be made to get the best out of Torres and the entire team. He is not the only problem but he is the highest profile right now.

He has no experience playing at this level, and his loan spell was a disaster. If he had a good loan spell then you could have a case. He could maybe get a few late substitutions at best, until he proves his worth. He hasn't even been featured at all in Carling Cup games and stuff, so absolutely no experience at all. Can't throw him straight into the deep end even if he seems mature for his age.

How do you know that it was a disaster?

Josh had no experience at all, but people asked for him to be played.

Yeah, but Josh has had Carling Cup starts and numerous substitution appearances and he now regularly trains with the first team. Conor ticks none of those boxes. I'm not saying he should never be featured, but definately not ready for a start yet. Try him in the last 30 mins of a few games and then we can decide whether he warrants a start.

He is training with the first team for long time now. He was training already last season.

That's the same what I said, to give him at least some minutes to see what will we do next season. I also said that I would prefer him getting some time over Josh because we play Man Utd on 18th and 20th. You know that Josh is so very important for fayc.

Yeah, I was just against starting him so soon. But hopefully him and Josh get some time together in a few games as I think they have a very good understanding between them.

If we are banking our future on Torres and we know we cant win the league then what is the point of starting with Drogba and Anelka up front? Two players who could be on their way out in the Summer, what Torres needs are games to continue to develop his relationship with his new team mates and maybe in games like this where there is less pressure on the team as a whole he is more likely to score that vital first goal. Would also love to see Yossi get a start.

He said youth won't be involved so the standard..

Oh well *sigh*...

Then my team :

Cech

Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - A.Cole

Mikel

Essien - Benayoun

Kalou - Drogba - Zhirkov

I would start Drogba. He has proved that he is the best option we have in attack, and one of our best players, if not the best, since the start of the month. I would like to play Benayoun behind him in the 4-4-2 shape, but Ramires is injured so Benayoun has to step back to replace him in the midfield. Therefore, the 4-3-3 appeares to me as the best formation... My winger would be Zhirkov and Kalou. Yeah I know Kalou isn't good when he's playing in that position, but Malouda and Anelka shouldn't be any near of the pitch (everyone know why) and Benayoun is already in the midfield.

About Torres, I would just give him 30-35 minutes in the second half. At the moment he is nothing but a waste of space.

Lampard has to be benched, he has yet to play a good game (= he doesn't deserve to play) plus he can't play week in week out, otherwise at this rate he will soon have to end up his career. On the contrary, Mikel has to start. If he can't start with an off form Lampard and an injured Ramires, then he will never play (oh, I said the same thing about Sturridge). The place remaining is to Essien. Even if he has been in a bad form lately, he is still more usefull than Lampard (for instance he has provide the assist tuesday night, on Drogba's goal).

The defense isn't a problem, so the same back four as usual will do. There's just one thing I would like to see : Ivanovic and Luiz switch their place during the game (like they did at Fulham).

This makes sense but if it's true Ancelotti is on his way out, next season isn't his concern. And he doesn't have to care about incorporating Torres into Chelsea's future, he will only worry about results for the rest of this season.
