The Austrian school system is such a fucked up one that you can only get very good education at private schools. It's a shame when you look at how many young talented pupils don't have the chance to go to one of those schools and in the end end up in vocational schools. I recently started at the university and there we have to work like 55-60 hours a week, including homework and all sorts of projects. I can hardly wait for Thursday when I have lectures from 8am to 7pm and then a few hours of homework in the evening. I guess this is only the beginning and it's going to get even worse at some point.
