You can't be serious? Barcelona are the best team in the world right now. Their reputation of bringing players through their youth ranks outshines any club in the world, their future and present is backed up by their past too.

As a player if you're offered the chance to play for Chelsea or Barcelona, you'd go to Barcelona. (As a young player)

The point of the article is, they're opening the academy, regardless. The debate of when is pointless.

I guess all the youth academies in the land will close down because Barcelona is opening one.

So they will build facilities in two months just to use them for four days?

We'll have to wait for and see the details of the plan.

No. That's not what I'm saying at all.

It's the cheek of them setting it up, right near our very own training ground. Almost taunting our academy.

This is good for the English Football but bad for us, obviously the kids will choose to play for Barca because they are the best team in the wolrd right now, and they play the best football. Also they give there youngsters a lot of chances to play, unlike us.

Our Academy will work just fine since we are a major club now as well and many kids and young players would gladly join us,but if you think Barcelona is above all...go and fucking support them.

Clearly you Bosnia and Herzegovina Chelsea fans are out of touch.

Like LDN said, It's like putting a Tesco supermarket opposite a grocery store.

^ This post is fiction. It's so grandiosely impersonal towards myself it's fascinating.

I'm not implying because i'm from the UK i'm aware of Barcelona's dominance (even here). Instead I'm somewhat indirectly questioning your own perception of football hierarchy over there.

Instead of discussing and constructing arguments for your baseless view. You've resorted to spouting juvenile insults.

Not sure if i'm pissed off or not. Seems a bit shit that they've come to cobham of all the places in England, let alone London/Surrey. At least i know what to smash up and where to go when they next give us a UCL screwing. Can actually attack Barca locally, that appeals.....

I dunno, maybe we'll join em in some capacity, have a few matches and a few joint sessions and learn from the way they play. Trying to think positive because there's not much we can do about it. We may be able to form some kinda partnership and we can take some of theirs and they can take some of ours.

Doesn't look good in all honesty but could work for us in the long run. FC Barcelona is the best team in the world atm, play outstanding football and are certainly one of the top/biggest 3 clubs in popularity worldwide and It will attract a lot more interest in the area. We'll see what may happen in the future. I can see us scouting those talented kids learning 'The Barca way'. Most will probably be English too so win-win and it could also help England and English players on technique. The technical English player may be born soon :)

This could be a good thing. We need British kids learning this type of football for the modern game.
