Chelsea have let one of Europe's most exciting young talents slip through their fingers.

Danish sensation Christian Eriksen, being chased by Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as every top club on the continent, was at Stamford Bridge as a 15-year-old but the club failed to press home their interest in the midfielder.

Fabio Capello changed his tactics during England's 2-1 win over Denmark last Wednesday, just to curb Eriksen's influence.

Okay, so the source is the Daily Hate Mail.

But when watching the game, I thought the kid sounded familiar. He turned down the chance to sign for us in favour of a move to Ajax. So not only do our best academy players have precious years of their development wasted at this club, but we also let outrageous talent slip through our grasp without even noticing - until its too late.

Load of bullshit. Every 17 year old is a fucking wonderkid these days.

He has shown he got a lot of potential by already being a very great player on Ajax team and that is why he is considered a wonderkid. Can he step up his game to a better league? We cant know until he tries but he sure as hell got a big talent and talking about him here is completely justified.
