steve5221 91
Why does Carlo keep persisting with Anelka??. He keeps coming inside and leaving the right flank totally exposed. If he is hell bent on 4-3-3 then Torres can play on the right with Drogba through the middle. We need Drogba's physical presence centrally. Also Anelka is very slow mentally, always needs at least 3 seconds on the ball and doesn't release it quick enough. I think even Sturridge or Kakuta would be better than Anelka but that is for next season I guess
dodojojo 510
If Drogba and Torres are to be played together, Anelka should not be in the hole or the "10" role. He simply can't do it. Unfortunately, right now, there doesn't seem to be anyone else at Chelsea who can play this role.
pachman40 357
He was exploiting the Fullham defense as he was in a couple of clear scoring positions. That Luiz hoof pass to Torres isn't all that different from what Torres did to Vidic in 2009. Problem is his finishing and I think that will improve with time on the pitch and confidence. Ancelotti should not have taken him off when Chelsea needed a goal and he was still involved. I'll take this back if Ancelotti believes Torres was tired and slowing down.I agree, once he gets a goal or two he'll be off to the races. Also agree that he should have stayed on to play alongside Drogba and cause some disruption in Fulham's back 4. Tactically we needed to change things in order to breakdown Fulham a bit more and it made no sense to do a like for like swap.
steve5221 91
If fit he should be on that pitch for 90 minutes, thats the only way he will regain his form and confidence.
Tortilla9 390
I hope for Torres, Carlo, and the team's sake, Torres scores soon. The longer he goes without scoring the longer the media will be on their feeding frenzy of negative Torres/Chelsea crap. It'll take pressure off everybody involved and hopefully the team can move forward.

magicrico 175
http://www.whoateall...it-special.htmlI think this is spot on...Torres looks woeful....no confidence whatsoever.....I hope im wrong but i have a bad feeling about him, the team going forward are dreadful. We need to sort it out now. 4th place will be a massive task.
GodZola 630
My apologies if i have repeated a previous post but havn't got time to scroll through 33 pages.Until Ancelotti starts playing a more attacking formation from the start of games then we will continue to struggle against teams that put 9 or 10 players behind the ball. We only need one holding midfielder not 2 or even 3 sometimes! We need a midfielder with vision that can unlock the door against sides that play for a draw, step forward Josh MacEachran.......oh forgot Ancelotti doesn't trust out younger players he f'in well ships them out on loan instead of putting them in ahead of some of the senior players that havn't performed all poxy season! Why the fook did he take Torres off when we need to score?! You need your firepower on the pitch & not on the poxy bench with 20 minutes to go. Torres & co upfront won't stand a chance until Ancelotti starts getting the formation right as they will not get any service, sadly I think Carlo is setting us up not to lose rather than starting with an attacking lineup that can create chances thus going a goal up & then making these defensive teams come out which will then give us the opportunity to exploit them as they leave themselves open ay the back. Kojo 4,676
I would honestly not of took Torres off for Drogba, but Carlo thought Drogba would enlighten it. Drogba was he even on the pitch?, i hardly saw him, the only time i saw him when he attempted to take about 4 defenders on, i don't know what he was trying to accomplish but the only chance he had of getting that ball through was trying to get it through there legs. Luiz however was a slight penelty, mostly because clint was on his own, but if it's accepted then we should of at least had one when they fouled malouda, i think it was. Though overall i think the referee handeld the game pretty well, just wasn't very good with the box situation. However bad penelty by Clint, and brilliant awareness by Cech for deciding to wait on it than jumping to far wide, just brilliant. That penelty has made me be greatful for just the draw really. Still 0-0 is not what we need at all, but we played much better in the game, we were in there half constantly, it's just the crosses were off, and i couldn't name one person who could finish properly on that pitch, the only one who really had a chance was Torres in the second half when he was getting his confidence back. Essien also played well, ramires made some good stuff and Luiz was outstanding, the penelty was unfortunate and he really shouldn't take long range shots lol. But honestly i loved him and even if the penelty was scored doesn't make a difference, Luiz played outstanding. I don't think any players did bad besides Anelka, Drogba & Torres (first half), Malouda was a bit off with his crosses and he wasn't very intelligent and move making. Anelka just slowed down the pace a lot, Anelka hasn't got the best concentration but he should be capable of being sharpe and playing through some fast balls, especially second half when Torres was getting his confidence back. Anelka would of played much better if he positioned himself properly, i think he was just totally out of the match tactic. But never mind it the match could of been a lot worse, but Carlo has learned a lot with the new positioning and players, so he will know what to do next, just a big shame we have to play Man United next. Ray. 217
Fulham played a very defensive game yesterday in which they 'parked the bus'. It was a pity that we couldn't break through as we had plenty of chances to do so. I think something is obviously playing on Torres's mind and he needs more time to adjust to the squad, i'd expect the same with any new player. Chant of the match has to be 'We Don't Hate You, We Don't Hate You, We Don't Hate You, cos your shit' absolute quality
Styles 9,790
Why is everybody saying Torres looks bad and lacks confidence? Who is supplying him? Where ae the crosses from wide areas? The only decent pass he got all night was a long ball fom Luiz which is vey hard on the run. He was making some great runs against Fulham but nobody in the team has the ability to make the final ball for him. Infact his movement is too good for our team, he makes runs but they just can't make the pass. It was like that with Cespo as well, his movement was magnificent but he was it was just too clever for our players.

NattyBlue 44
Can't beat teams that park the bus yet we expect to beat Everton who only know how to defend and grab 4th spot in the champions league somehow and then some fucking nutters expecting us to win the thing this year too, amazing...We've gone back a few months with that performance I think...reminded me of birmingham without the onslaught on their goalie
