Ah I was going to take that up in primary school (played a recorder in year 3) but I never took it seriously.

If I could go back I would've chosen to learn the violin/guitar though.

It's never too late to stop learning. You've got the rest of your life to learn to play an instrument. I know plenty of people that have taken up a musical instrument as an adult. The main thing is to enjoy it and to perservere with it.

Look at me, i'm still learning (albeit it's very slow) about football after never really watching the game. I know it will take me a long time before I will ever be able to talk confidently on here about tactics and formations etc..., but the main thing I get is enjoyment and a real buzz from watching the games.

Very true Ray!

I will learn one day, it's on my "to-do" list really. I actually want to learn Spanish first, I plan to take a side course when I'm in uni :)

Also Ray, I wouldn't think a second about this. Because that last line is the most important thing! I envy you for the amount of games you go to, when I get a job and stuff, I'm hoping to go to a lot more than I do usually. You don't have to know all the technical details about football to be a fan, just to take part in the atmosphere and cheer through thick & thin - that's what being a fan it about :)

Not the biggest fan, but love the Mass Effect and Mass Effct 2 soundtracks by Jack Wall, the third one will be done by Clint Mansall so god knows how that will be like.

One song i love which hasn't been posted (yet!) is by Two Steps From Hell, who makes songs for trailers and movies, but have made some classics, my favourite, (which was used in the Mass Effect 2 trailer) is Heart of Courage, quiete a short one though.

Thanks mate. I'm sure you'll get to more games, I know it's hard for a lot of people what with the prices going up. I agree with you there, about the atmosphere and getting behind the team. I do think that's important aswell as getting to grips with at least the basic rules.
