strong centreback 157
He was good to day to b fair to him seemed to tuck in more personally I think we should be looking for a right winger to allow rotation between anelka and Drogba as the centre forward anelka plays better and scores alot more goals as the centre forward then when he is shunted/accommodated on the right hand side would allow Drogba to get fitter as he looks a shell of his former self out there at the moment though im still putting it down to fitness issues post malaria at the moment, anyway I digress anelka should get more opportunity as the lone striker as he does better there. Ask Drogba to play on the right, he's got a phenomenal cross!
Lampards Bitch 21
Damnn.. I don't have CTV .Your not missing much its shite lol I have it but I dont pay for it as me and my dad work for Sky but if we didnt I would pay monthly for it. I just find games online and stream them if its not on Sky or ESPN.anyhoo on Anelka, he has spells of being quiet and then suddenly appears and scores in a few games. Havent seen todays game, I'm waiting for MOTD to come on
Ollie 4,400
He has such great feet, his touch and control is second to none but i just wonder so many times, "wtf are u doing over there" His main problem is, he just keeps hold of the ball for so long and doesn't do anything constructive with it the majority of the time. LDN Blue 7,903
There's no doubt though. His finish, mostly, is impeccable!
Ollie 4,400
Except against Arsenal earlier this season lol.
Wilson 358
Anelka was excellent against Blackburn. Don't think he made one mistake in the game.
Peace. 4,352
15/1/11No doubt about it.However let's unite our voicesExactly. He hasn't been phenomenal, but he was quite good. And considering his latest performances it's a relief to see him play well. And I didn't understand why it's him who has been replace, it should have been Drogba.I think from now, when we play him we should play him as our centre forward. Even if he was good yesterday, he creates some problems in our organisation. He is supposed to be a right winger, but I saw him more often in the axis and on the left wing than on the right wing. And he seems to be better when he is played in the axis (excepted against Tottenham and Looserpool). Which could allow us to give some needed rest to Drogba (even if I think he will always play, no matter what). The fact that he doesn't shoot really often may be a disavantage, but for months Drogba has been too much awful, plus Anelka remains a superb finisher... So I guess we will have more chances to score with Anelka up front than if it was Drogba.I think our best option up front would be : Sturridge - Anelka - MaloudaBut I would be ingenuous if I believe that CA will change a damn thing...Now I hope he will - at least - as good as yesterday. ChelseaChick 430
A lot of people were shouting abuse at Anelka yesterday and I don't think it was deserved. He hasn't been great but either has Drogba and I didn't hear anyone shouting at him! Anelka has been poor lately but I think he played a good bit better yesterday. Lampards Bitch 21
Like I said Anelka can go really quiet for a few games and then turn up in others! I dont think he is crap. I definatly wouldnt put Drogba out wide............pointless. He isnt meant to be there. When he drifts out I'm shouting at the TV wtf you doing there, get in the bloody middle where your meant to be!!!! Finally does that against Villa and low and be hold he scores....... Also Dids is a complex character but I still love him and he is still a legend and one of the best strikerx in the world imo
True_Blue 469
Anelka had a good game vs Ipswich and a solid one vs Blackburn. But it was unfair to play him after his shock form.Sturridge needs a start or he will be heading somewhere else in the summer. If he gets to play more maybe he will be more consistant. But I am no way his biggest fan I hate his attitude on the pitch. It really grates on me. Joe Cool 388
Anelka just doesn't cut it with us anymore, he hasn't proved himself this season at all. I'd have Sturridge start over him 9 out of 10 days of the week to be honest.
