BomTrett 50
Just wondering what people think about our transfer policy for the 2010-11 season. Realistically, Chelsea dont seem to be spending a lot of money, but we've let 2 midfielders and a right back go (and soon to be 3 midfielders with Deco), and our only signing is Yossi Benayoun. If we are to sign anyone else, who will we sign? Sorry if this topic has been done previously but i thought i'd start us discussing it some more haha
Corlett 202
Ramires, Torres, Luiz.
EskWeston 696
I think that Ramires and Neymar are realistic targets for us at the moment. The Torres roumer won't go away either. It is hard to know what our policy is as the club keep everything very close to their chest. I would be quite happy to see Ramires and Neymar come in and if we do add Torres to that it would be a significant statement for next season. The Big Drog 1,110
Getting both Ramires and Torres this Summer might seem like a bit of a fantasy, but I like fantasies so ye.
Madmax 9,219
Torres, Ramires and Neymar? That's around 100 million - good luck with that.
NoFear 23
So far Ramires + Neymar look the only realistic ones... Kinda skeptical abt the Torres one because of his injury record.. But if its just the aforementioned two, that is still good enough for me
Term-X 7,891
neymar would be a great signing, i just wonder how sturridge would respond to such a move.
CHD 30
We can only make one signing with the new rules. Only one fits in.
chrismada9 1,948
I hope we sign at least three more players before the window closes, but I don't think Aguero will be either of those thee players.Ramires (if we can avoid the scheme of Kia Joorabchian), David Luiz, and Neymar

Rubber bullets 1,183
At the moment it only seems to be Ramires that is the most likely to be coming, but I don't expect anyone else - or at least big money signings.
BlueLion. 21,491
I think we can't rule out any player at this stage. Regarding the Aguero/Torres situation, if the money is right both Atlético and Liverpool will surely consider selling. The Spaniards are in a financial mess (reportedly) and Liverpool would be mad to turn down the sort of offers the media are suggesting. Realistically speaking we should be looking at promoting our youngsters before we splash the millions, since so much effort and investment has been injected into the academy set-up. There is no better opportunity than now to let the kids have their chance. But fresh blood certainly needs to be added - as far as I'm concerned a young goalkeeper and a striker to replace Drogba or Anelka, who can compete with Sturridge/di Santo/Borini in the future is all we need. crazy1 24
i want to see Cattermole (sunderland), LEE (bolton), and Gary Cahill / Showcross/ Micah Richards in blue shirt in this current transfer market

We only have 4 reasonable players under the age of 21 and rest (19 I would recall) are over 21 and foreign, so Ancelotti has a tough decision to make, as to who is going to make the 25-man squad come september 1st! Lewis Creser 0
I think after getting rid of ballack joe cole and soon deco, bringing in someone young and exciting like Ramires would be a great signing for chelsea. I would also like to see Neymar or Edin Dzeko brought in instead of Torres. Torres is a great striker when hes fit but how many games is he gonna play a season? and for £50 million? Really??? We could probably get Ramires Neymar and Dzeko for that price..
danwkb 11
would be pretty happy with Ramires and Neymar, or maybe even Lukaku, and loan him back to Anderlecht for a season or so. Things seem to have gone a bit quiet on that front as of recent though.
chrismada9 1,948
just be glad we don't have the problem Citeh have! They have no choice but to cut away 7 of their players.... I heard "Team Bridge" will be joining 'Dough Cole' at Liverpool soon! Edited July 27, 2010 by CJ Revo

Wxgba 306
i want to see Cattermole (sunderland), LEE (bolton), and Gary Cahill / Showcross/ Micah Richards in blue shirt in this current transfer marketYou're either on a wind-up, or you're going mad.Obviously, you'd like to see some English talent brought in and injected to the club. But we can do much better than Cattermole. If we were going to sign anyone along those lines, I'd like to see Rodwell brought in. I'd quite like to see Neymar come to us this transfer window; he's looking like a realistic target. Torres is a hopeful one, but both won't be necessary and Neymar, though not proven in the Premier League, will cost us a lot less. And with Abramovich splashing the cash a lot more sensibly nowadays, I doubt that'll develop any further than rumours. Ramires, another realistic target, also seems promising, and I wouldn't mind seeing him come to the Bridge this summer.just be glad we don't have the problem Citeh have! They have no choice but to cut away 7 of their players.... I heard "Team Bridge" will be joining 'Dough Cole' at Liverpool soon! Aye, I've heard that too. Liverpool, if they sell Insua (which may not actually be happening now), would be left without a left-back.
Duppy Conqueror 1,534
Ramires and Neymar i think are the only ones who seem to be realistic at this point..because we have atleast made an offer for them..i know Chelsea have said they wont comment on transfer targets but i think if a club came out with an official statement saying that Chelsea had made an official bid..if it wasn`t true then Chelsea would come out and officially deny it.although it seems very unlikely that Lukaku will leave Anderlecht this year..i would be delighted to see him signed up but loaned straight back to them if needs be to strike a deal...it could be that we have already struck such a deal but Anderlecht have requested as part of the deal that it isn`t disclosed until next summer. tho there could be no deal in place atall at this time,so back on topic..i don`t see us signing anyone else than Ramires and maybe Neymar.the Torres coming to us rumours seem even more unlikely to be true than the Cole to Madrid rumours.
