No way is Roman leaving Chelsea... He has been planning for the long term future of Chelsea all this while and now to leave would not make any sense !!! To me, he is the best owner a Club can ever wish for - passionate, committed, good business sense and wise decisions !!! Hope he stays for yrs to come..

If he will leave and we won't be regularly in CL and fighting for top spots we will at least see who is a true fan. I am definately going to cheer and support Chelsea for long time and even if Roman goes. But even if he does go I think we have a bright future with many young talnts, fantastic academy and training ground, great stadium, world class players and world class staff and amazing fans ...

For talk sake....even if he did decide to call it a day, the club will not go into freefall as some are saying. He'll have left a club in very good shape. We'll still be one of the big hitters in europeand will continue to attract top players.

We could end up with another multi billionaire taking over with more money that Abramovich. If Chelsea came on the market those arabs would be taking hits out on each other to gain control of a club with Chelseas current standing in football.

Simple fact is we'll never know for sure what his plans are - he probably changes his mind too, as we all do.

The club is massively stronger now than when he arrived, and he won't write off £700m - so, if he is to leave, it will be sold, or pass to his family.

I hope he stays, largely because his support for the team is so obvious - unlike the faceless owners of so many other clubs.

I've had some information back. Apparently the club are losing a lot of money due to staff wages at the training ground and unnecessary expenditure. They are making staff cuts and cutting hours. This is Ron Gourlay doing this, I don't know whether it was under instruction from Abramovich.

What worries me is if we are making these cuts, they may also lead to academy cuts and possibly damage our future.

I'll post anything else as soon as I hear it.

Your Friend might be a little scare about loosing his Job.... and U know when those rumors and thing start to happend well people talk more that they should and Rumors are all over the place.

It´s very difficult to thing Roman will sale Chelsea.... there is no evidence what so ever about it.... unless for now.... what I can see is that there will be chances around.... that is clear for me because Roman Change the Head of Chelsea for a Reason and That Reason is showing itself.

fair play Kenyon never seemed shy about spending other peoples money..perhaps Gourlay is more concienscous(sic?) and has looked at the entire list of employees, their roles etc..and seen many cases of more people being employed than need to be..it`s not nice people losing their jobs etc..but it`s all part of business and does not necessarily mean the clubs going down the pan etc...just good business sense, from the point of view of the business itself..

i must admit i have no idea how many people are currently employed by Chelsea altogether tho..i think if we did then it may help to explain these things better, but i doubt if people who are needed most for the good of the club will be let go.

The massive wages came from buying big name players to allow us to make thatstep up the ladder to compete with Manu and Arsenal for the title. Now that we are there, we can afford to keep a core of "big name players" and mix it with our own academy players and get to the target of being self sufficient.

If and when the time comes to buy a new player,we can aim for an up and coming player who'll be on decent wages, but not atronomical wages that we can keep within our wage budget.

The more I think about this, the more I see it as a simple case of getting our act together. We've spent too long spending money for the sake of it.

If the club needs to save money. The first step is to start cutting players wages. I do not think any player at our club needs to be over 100k salary a week, its a joke. Obviously care would need to be taken so player do not decide to leave but i think it would be the right direction for the club, and I think the likes of Frank Lampard and John Terry would be more then happy to do so.

Exactly why are they making staff cuts at a time like this when players are on 150k a week it's ridiculous.
