Term-X 7,891
He looked good today, considering he's been injured.Impressive ball for Torres in the 88th minute.
LDN Blue 7,903
TX complimenting Benayoun? I must be dreaming But he's right. Made a difference when he came on by providing some good balls and being around to support the man in possession. I don't like him on the wing though if I'm honest, I think he lacks the pace and energy. I'd rather see him play behind the striker(s). Mikel/EssienRamires ---------------------- LampardBenayounDrogba - TorresThis looks the most suitable on paper. Question is if the team would respond. It also means we'd be less active on the left, but we may as well be with Malouda taking the helm there!
Kostas 1,468
Did some very good things today. Should have got an assist aswell. However I would like to see him against more tight defenses cause by the time he got himself into the game Wigan were chasing the equalizer and left spaces for Benayoun to exploit. Chelsea_Fan 227
Good game by Yossi.Torres also play much better than ever for us
Ollie 4,400
Something different, a Chelsea player ignoring Drogba and only looking for Torres lol. When Al Habsi saved it i shouted at the top of my voice "FOR FUCK SAKE" i want him to score so fucking bad. Benayoun and Torres have to play on tuesday, these are true Champions League players. We win the game if they play, 100%. WE need to destroy these cunts n shut them up for once and for all. Even if Torres plays on a wing, he naturally drifts there anyway. Most of his goals have come from out there and cutting in.
Liquidator 5,176
If Torres is to score more goals then I think Benayoun is the key. He has by far the best passing ability in the squad IMO. At first I was like many other people- unsure 'why we signed this 30 year old piece of crap- oh look he has played about 5 games and got a 6 month injury' etc but to be honest he is one of my favourite current players. In the games where he has come on as a sub he has changed the game in Torres' favour with his amazing through balls as well as his exceptional work rate. Its a shame hes not younger. LDN Blue 7,903
I still don't understand signing him if I'm honest. Yes he's a good technical player but I don't see his role in the squad. The midfield trio of Mikel, Ramires & Lampard is adequate enough without adding a 30-year old who can do the basics right. If we were looking to sign a "fill in the gap" player, we should've kept Michael Ballack.
Peace. 4,352
^ Agreed. If we were seeking for a player who would just play every now and then, we would have done better to keep either Ballack, Deco or Cole. We wouldn't have had to pay a fee and we would have a player who were already established in the team, who already knew the manager, etc...To be honest, I think we made a bad mercato. We bought two players we didn't need. Yeah, it's the same think for Ramires, we didn't need his kind of player back then. Granted he became an important player for us.Maybe rumours which say we buy Benyoun in purpose to lure Torres are true.
Rambo 1,729
Torres would have came here with or without Benayoun tbh. We were just looking for a cheap replacement for squad depth when Ballack and Joey left.

DYC. 7,542
Cole and Deco are washed out.Exactly.Benayoun offers something different to us, something every side needs. But he's not Chelsea starting material so yeah. When Chelsea finally sign a true playmaker, coming summer hopefully, we have a good back-up in Yossi. His age seems to just be an number for now since he's still got pace and looks (very) fit and that's something for a 30-year old coming back from a long-term injury. I wish he would play more but maybe he's not fully fit yet.
ZanSnake 1,211
Benayoun can make something out of nothing, ie if he can see a pass he makes it, if he see space where there could be an attack he makes it, but there isn't he moves the ball into a area when he can find one. He is skillful as well as having vision, something which we lacked imo even with Cole and Deco here.
dodojojo 510
As a Torres fan, I watched a lot of Liverpool games this season and Joe Cole looks shockingly unfit. He was usually bent over after 15 minutes or so. Does he smoke?
dodojojo 510
Best player against Kitchee. Here's his post game interview. Did they snatch him right off the pitch? He sounds like he still trying to catch his breath. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L15JsEELIQY
