NattyBlue 44
Bertrand could learn so much from Ash aswell and he plays with a lot of passion
Randall 315
I just watched some of Matic again and he is incredible. Everyone should go and watch some of his best bits on youtube. I forgot how good he was.
5354 204
Bertrand seems like a better prospect to me than Van Aaanholt
EskWeston 696
Both Bertrand and Van Aanholt are quality left backs. Bertrand has a LOT more experience over PVA though which could go a long way... i would be happy to see either in the squad, Van Aanholt has had the benefit of working under Carlo though.I agree Randall Matic has proved to be a quality signing and hopefully next season will make big steps in our first team, he has some real quality on the ball and i think he can be a big player for us in the future. There seems to be a lazy eligance about his play. A Bit like Zidane. But I have questions about his pace. Is he pacy enough to for this League. His Style according to me is more suited for the Italian League.

His ball skills and intelligence more than make up for any lack of pace, much like Josh McEachran.

Randall 315
The thing with Matic though is even though he isn't that quick he's very rangy, when he runs with the ball it's big strides so he does cover a lot of ground and he has very, very good ball control like superb, a very good touch and his chipped through balls remind me a lot of the kind lampard puts through. Bit of a wild shot on him though lol I think he'll be good for us.
magic weeds 446
out of the list, as I have always said, Matic is the one to be added in the midfield. no question about that. Then after the Stock game, am now confused about the whole lot of young defenders we have in the squad. where will they all fit? Sam Hutchinson, Mancienne, Bruma, RVH, Bertrand. as someone said, its going to be a year of battles. everyone fighting for a place. at this moment, i just dont know if Bos will ever get back to the starting eleven. just not sure anymoreSome player everyone is forgeting is Di Santo. wonder why on earth he was loaned to blackburn where he hardly gets to play. Big Sam is stupid. Take a look at other boys out on loan: cork, mancienne, bertrand play regurlaly. Again I just dont see any bright future for Di Santo at Chelsea. hopefully am prooved wrong. Sturidge vs Di Santos, STURRIDGE all day.:eyebrows:
northernblue 2
We have invested a lot of money in our youth policy, nabbing players from all over the World. It would be nice to see it bear fruit in the coming season's as it is always satisfying to see someone come through the ranks and make it into the first team. Badboy 1,526
I think fabio borini is a fantastic young striker. He has the ability to make the first team in my opinion, kakuta will make it no probs and i think we have a good set of kids at the club. benji_blue 3
Although we havent finished the job of yet this season I am already looking forward to next season after hearing this from Carlo. I am looking forward to seeing of the youngsters come through next season, BUT we must not expect miracles from them straight away. I think we must prepare ourselves for the possibility of not having the same success as we have had in recent years (mainly since Wenger has been lowering the average age of the arsenal team). There is no doubting Kakuta, Stochs, Bruma's and the likes talent but that is not to say that we are going to win the league or champions league straight away. Blooding them in gradually is going to be the best way, putting them in the team with seasoned pros such as Frank, JT, Ash, DD, and the likes will help there development. I just hope that our expectations after this season will not put extra pressure on these young players and make it show on the pitch. They have done well to get where they are and hopefully they will help us to gain more glory in the years to come.
sLOVEnian Blue 74
We can't just loan the same players for like 5 years ... it's not normal. I think Di Santo got his chance in Blackburn and didn't use it so I would sell him for around 5 mil €. I would sell Sinclair too because I think we have better young players and he had his chance 1 year ago. I would loan out Borini who is to young for our first squad and a loan would do him good. I would also loan PVA and keep Bertrand who is much better and more experienced. And then I would loan Hutchinson and Bruma too.To sum up ...SELL : Di Santo, SinclairLOAN OUT : Bruma, Hutchinson. Patrick Van Aanholt, Borini and maybe CorkKEEP : Mancienne, Rajkovič, Matič, Sturridge, Stoch, Kakuta
Randall 315
Gael Kakuta needs to be in the first team, probably starting 11 if we don't sign anyone new.
Badboy 1,526
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has given a hint that there will be a major overhaul of his team this summer, and says that five promising youngsters will be promoted to the Chelsea first team squad for next season. There has been a ban on talking to players about extending their contracts until the end of the season, but Ancelotti says there is no rush to finish negotiations. “We are involved in very important competitions and we will take the decision after that.” Ancelotti said. “We have time because the season will finish May 15, and we will start in July, so we have May and June to take decisions about players without contracts, It does not depend on winning the league. “The only sure thing is that next year there will be five players from the Academy in the squad because they deserve to be. “Some players maybe will move, because we want to give strength to our Academy, we have very good young players and it is the time to put them in the squad for next year, they are able to stay in the Chelsea squad.” It is thought that four of those players are guaranteed to be Gael Kakuta, Jeffrey Bruma, Nemanja Matic and Fabio Borini, who have all impressed Ancelotti this season. The Italian coach was then asked if the Chelsea fans would be unhappy if they don’t sign any big name players this summer. “I think the fans will be happy if the team wins the title and the FA Cup. After that they will see some new players in the future. The most important thing is they don’t need to see a new coach!” If we win the Double I don’t think Ancelotti need worry on that score!http://justchelsea.com/ancelotti-five-youngsters-will-be-promoted-to-first-team-this-summer/1829Five academy players will be in the squad next season, like the article i can only think of kakuta borini matic and bruma. Borini is a weird one because i think he needs another season, so i think it could be jack cork !
CFC58 22
Miroslav Stoch is one I assume.
EskWeston 696
Some of the players involved this season could well be on loan next season, Borini, Bruma, Van Aanholt...... so it is not clear which players it will be. I would think that Stoch and Kakuta are very likely to be involved though,
DavidEU 2,023
They'll all have the Crystal Palace friendly to impress as the first teamers will all be on holidays.
Badboy 1,526
Oh yes i forgot about stoch defo one i want in the first team next season. He has proven me wrong and i really like him as an out and out winger, I think all we need this summer is a 24 25 26 year old striker with pace and ability thats all. The wide positions are covered with the additions of kakuta and stoch. Matic in the midfield, and i think kaby in the 2011-2012 season can come in handy because of his energy in midfield.
