Swoopz 183
This is HUGE for us! City's transfer window just took a giant blow! They can no longer offer promising tournaments and trophies to their transfer targets this year, and since many of their targets are the same as ours, we have a much better chance of snagging up players. Aguero, Pato, DiMaria, and even Torres are looking for clubs who can get the big jobs done. Chelsea are on the brink of a Premier League Title, FA Cup Title, and have CL seat, this makes for excellent eye candy. We no longer need to worry about having to compete with City for signatures, because we simply have more to offer!
Rubber bullets 1,183
Well if they had of gotten 4th place they would of spent millions in the transfer market, if they did not then they would spend millions in the transfer market!Difference is that for now they can only buy another Lescott, another Barry and another Santa Cruz. They won't be able to attract players like Ronaldo, Di Maria or Torres - unless they offered massive amounts of weekly wages (which they probably will). Badboy 1,526
I agree but tottenham deserved it tbh they have attacked teams this year and played some good stuff.
Steve 10,227
Big name players wont fancy not playing champions league football. No matter how much money is on the table. If they do then they are idiots. Spurs might make some big signings now.
BlueLion. 21,491
Its good news for us. With City it would have been the same scenario as us when Roman first came in; attracting players with Champions League football and ridiculous wages. Now the competition is less. Fulham Broadway 17,315
Better, only, slightly that the yids qualified -best scenario now is that they get knocked straight out of the qualifiers.Wonder if Mark Hughes has stopped laughing yet ? Aesthetic Relic 301
Kaka knocked them back along with quite a few other big names, Robinho went there as he had no option. so no matter how much money they decide to throw at players its not going to help. Had they got 4th place it may have been different, but this is another kick in the teeth for City as they aim to dominate the transfer market.....GIRUY :541: It should have a knock on effect which could see thos eplayers they probably would have tried to outbid us for opting not to go and as already mentioned, we're the eye candy atm. We look more attractive to new players.

Ollie 4,400
Tottenham definitely deserve 4th place and i'm glad they got it. Showed great bottle and play good football, can't fault them. Man city.... just lol, bought the players, sacked the managers (sven and Hughes), spent loads of money and got what they deserved. London 3/4 not bad. Henrique 9,133
It means that people who say that Chelsea bought success are stupid...since Abramovich arrived in 2003, Chelsea is the most succesful club in England.
