For me it has to be Bill Hicks.. considered one of the greatest comedians of all time, and for those who have yet to be enlightened by real genius. Here are a few opportunities for your 3rd eye.

Definitely agree with that. Genius, and tragic his life was cut short at such an early age with Pancreatic cancer. Or was it ? Loads of speculation that the Yank govt bumped him off. He was so radical, stuff about drugs, Bush seniors wife, and the first Iraq invasion, that was just as relevant for the second invasion. Total embarassment to the US Govt.

Love all comedy, nothing i like more than being made to laugh. Favorite comedians at the moment? Lee Evans will always be one of my favorites and i love pretty much everything Ricky Gervais does (include Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington with that)...

That Waco stuff that Hicks did was spot on -another reason why he could have been bumped off- exposed how the DEA and FBI massacred that cult. They were mentalists, but didnt deserve to be wiped out like that.

All Ricky did was hold a mirror up to Hollywood and show how silly and absurd the whole world of the celebrity has become.

Gervais isn't going to conform and tone down his act, you have to respect him for that. He could have just took the money and played it safe.

In essence they're all patting each other on the back and getting ''awards'' by people who dress up and pretend to be other people , for ..er...dressing up and pretending to be other people.
