i have been thinking about who has been our best player this season but i havent got a clue who to choose. there has been so many great players for us th season; drogba, anelka, malouda, ivanovic, lampard, terry, a.cole.

who do you think our best player has been this season?

Its either Ivanovic, Malouda or Drogba for me, all three been exceptionally well all season.

i will have to go with ivanovic ... i cant even remember a single match in which he wasn't outstanding ... pretty solid in the back and made some decent assists going forward and i dont think any lb will have a good day facing iva ....

but also cant ignore drogba's contributions to the team also there were few matches where he wasnt top form like vs inter and man u which are our biggest two games so far ......

His performance in the Charity Shield was pretty bad but that's about it.

Ivanovic has been more consistent but Drogs has won some games by himself,tough call.

LOL. Drogba for me. Ivanovic has been amazing all season, but Didier is a game changer and I'm sure he'll save our ass a couple more times before the season ends.

Its going to be between Drogba and Ivanovic. Looking at Terminator X's list of previous winners, I think Drogba is due it TBH.

Ivanovic may get players player of the year.

For me it has to be either Drogba, Ivanovic or Malouda. I would have said A.Cole and Anelka as well but since Ash has only played just over half a year you can't really give it to him and Anelka's form has dipped in the last couple of months so i think he is out of the running.

Its rare that a defender gets a player of the year award (although Terry has won it a couple of times) so i would say Drogba will come out on top. Purely because he has been the difference in so many matches.

If we stay in all three competitions til the end, Drogba could get upto 40 goals this season. He's a shoe in for POTY for me.

Ivanovic, Malouda comfortably two and three though.

Don't know about Ivanovic, he has been great for us, but still has a lot to improve. His positioning is rather bad at times, but it doesn't affect his game because of his strong physical play with wich he can correct his mistakes. If we need a very good defensive RB, Ivanovic is our man, if we want to have the best attacking RB in the league, Bosingwa has got to be the man.

Drogba has been great for us, people here mainly talk about his goal threat, don't forget how many assists he made!

Looking at the fact he never won it, he deserves it this time in my opinion.

Malouda is the third choice, who has been absolutely outstanding this season, and just as for Drogs, our main attacking threat, also in games we'd play bad.

Malouda third? Can't help but think you're all being very influenced by his outstanding performance yesterday in that decision. Terry, Ash Cole and Anelka have all been more regular, more consistent and quite frankly better.
